Our room was spacious and clean. It had a large terrace attached!

I am actually very happy that I booked this hotel because I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews. We found check-in to be simple, and the front desk attendants were super nice. The lobby and our room was tidy and clean. The room itself included a rainfall shower, clean white sheets, wood floors and a Keurig. We also had a pretty large terrace. Although it wasn't very furnished or fancy, we enjoyed hanging out on it that night. Even more, the hotel provided us with a bottle of wine! You should note that they will charge a $25 resort fee per day (+ tax) and they will put a $100 hold on your card for incidentals. My only complaint would be breakfast at The Essex. It wasn't very good or impressive. We just ate elsewhere.

Really pretty Art Deco hotel with nice amenities. The staff was incredibly nice and the manager Marcello was so helpful. The room was very clean and pretty modern. Close to lots of restaurants and things to do. You can do valet parking or self serve close by.

This was hotel was definitely A-Ok. Pros: 1. Semi-Clean upon arrival (depending on how OCD you are this might be a con LOL) 2. Centrally located in South Beach (Huge plus on location) 3. Friendly staff 4. Not crowded Cons: 1. Valet Parking 35$ a night, WARNING: VALET STAFF WILL STEAL SNACKS FROM YOUR VEHICLE 2. Took forever to get our car, they park the cars in a location that seems to not be close by 3. Air is not cold - the room was hot even at night 4. Water in the shower does not get hot - at all 5. No décor 6. TV didn't work. A technician came out to fix it but it stopped working again so we gave up. Overall the only reason for the 3-stars in the location. Everywhere else around this immediate area was a lot more expensive and over priced. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for.

More paint and just one outlet for the lamp no for your chargers.

I am giving one star just for the location, but if you are planning to stay here be aware of different things. First of all the hotel was recently bought and they are remodeling it, nobody told us this was happening so you had people at the lobby putting furniture together. Elevator pretty dirty. Then let's talk about our room. TV doesn't work, it is just plugged in but no channels. The room looked so horrible because they are covering holes on the wall and putting a spot of white paint (see pics). No outlets by the night stands which btw are not the ones on the pics they promote. Then the "closet" they use it doesn't close (see pics). In the bathroom one light was burnt. Seems they got a furniture to put a mini fridge well no mini fridge so take with you cold water. About customer service, so bad! There was this girl that was on her phone while we were asking some questions and she totally ignored us, and asked us to repeat everything again and her answer was I don't know. They are clueless about the own hotel. No maintenance on the pools, you will see leaves floating around. Oh and there is a bar down there so if you want to sleep be prepared to not relax while you are there because the noise of people is so loud!. And the cherry on top is that they charge you a hotel service fee $140 for no reason or at least no one could explain why.

Michelle and Bruno made the stay the best. Third time there and it was "the charm". We stayed in penthouse 404... incredible! Two terraces and four French doors! You get to experience the wonderful Miami weather!

I'm giving this place a 5 stars because the service was absolutely incredible. We stayed in January 2019 and had an amazing stay for all 4 nights, the location is unbeatable and If you're looking for a clean place that won't break your bank, this is it. The breakfast in the morning was great! Thank you!!

The Stiles Hotel has these two cute turquoise chairs overlooking their pool area... Perfect photo-op!

This is a decent hotel, conveniently close to South Beach (probably a 3 minute walk!). The most impressive aspect of this hotel is it's staff - each staff member was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful (even the overnight crew!). Our room was small and did not have a refrigerator - something that was quite inconvenient as we could not take home any leftovers when we ate at restaurants. It was also quite inconvent to have to keep our drinks cooled in a single ice bucket (a tricky move with four people who drink different liquor). Another inconvenience was that the room was only supplied with two towels - you have to purchase additional towels if you have more than 2 people staying in your room. Our room also wasn't the cleanest either - nothing surprising considering it is so close to the beach, so I'm sure many college students and irresponsible vacationers stay here. Nonetheless, the carpet was stain-ridden, the comforter was clearly discolored beneath the duvet-cover, the sheets had holes, and the open storage area beneath the white nightstand between our beds was FILTHY - it was stained with yellow/brown sticky liquid (looked like old soda), dust, and hair. On a positive note, they offer extra colored towels in the lobby to take to the beach - a nice feature as I did not want to carry a beach towel in my luggage! And again, the staff was truly incredible. Overall, I guess I can't say I expected much more from an inexpensive, nearly-beach-front hotel in Miami. Definitely not someplace for someone with OCD, though!

Leak first night fixed second night.

The stiles hotel was not what we expected. My wife and I actually had a robust discussion, if this was a 2 or 3 star hotel. We had so many things wrong in a short period of time. We traveled for a birthday party and the other couple had a valid reservation but no room. We actually had a really bad leak in the bathroom our first night there. We used all the towels and 2 trash cans. We could never figure out if the phone with 2 handsets actually worked. But they did knock all service charges off the bill. This was a great price. Bad experience.

    Anna M.

The service was very nice. Our room had an infestation of worms in the shower and they kindly moved us across the street to a sister hotel free of charge. Rooms were a bit outdated, but if you're looking for a decent hotel to stay and don't want to pay an arm and a leg in Miami, this place is the spot!

We had to go to Walgreens for cleaning supplies.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

You are walking through the area with all the guests and their luggage in your super large robe that doesn't close very well. I did not enjoy this. Some disappointing things which was not their fault is the parking garage construction noise even on Sundays. The noise took away from my spa experience. They did nothing for the noise control. Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. The valet staff was quite nasty telling me we were there too long for the discount BUT each one of those alone qualified for a discounted valet. You can not do both in the 4 hour window.

The staff were generally friendly, and a few were especially helpful. They handled three packages I had shipped to the hotel efficiently, though there was a sizable per-package fee. Small touches like afternoon boozy gelato samples and a lobby change machine for breaking $20s into $5s were appreciated. Breakfast at Lolo's was decent. My Marriott status included breakfast for two, though the included menu was much shorter than the regular one and the portions were modest. Still, the food was cooked to order, tasted good, and the servers kindly let me order both breakfasts since I was traveling alone. I didn't try the Japanese restaurant on site, but I heard good things and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants instead, especially La Grande Boucherie. I paid a substantial premium for an oceanfront double room, but I'm not sure I would do that again. The balcony and glass door were fairly small, and the balcony felt boxed in for privacy. Next time I might prefer a cheaper park-side room on a higher floor, which could still offer a nice park and ocean view. The biggest disappointment was the late checkout. My Marriott Platinum Elite status is supposed to include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, but the hotel would not honor it. Each day I was told to check again later, and in the end they could only offer 1 p.m. That created real scheduling problems, since I had planned around the advertised benefit. With no good place in the hotel to work or take calls after checkout, I ended up going to the airport hours early. The status is supposed to provide a room upgrade, but that wasn't available either. A couple of other issues matched complaints I had seen in recent reviews. One elevator stopped for several minutes with a group of us inside and did not respond to the buttons, which was uncomfortable even though the door eventually opened. I also received a call inviting me downstairs for a "welcome gift," which turned out to be a Marriott Vacation Club sales pitch. That should be presented more honestly. Overall, this was a decent stay and I might return. But given the failure to honor the guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, I would compare other options carefully before booking again.

The rooms have been thoughtfully re-designed, but still have that cold Miami cinder block feel. In other words you won't do more than sleep in them. The pool area is fantastic with a bay view and plenty of chairs. Lido Grill, the main restaurant, is nicely done and people / pet friendly. Service was good, once you got their attention, which was on you, not them...we had the lobster, fairly priced at $39, but was like rubber and inedible. Sides were a throw away. Drinks were very good. Other points, nice mini bar in room, however NO coffee in room and coffee shop doesn't open until 7 AM. A regular room, facing back away from bay, dinner for 2, minor mini bar invasion (2 drinks) valet, was over $1100. Not worth the cost.

Fontainebleau Miami isn't just a hotel -- it's a full‑scale Miami moment. The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

This is a tourist trap extraordinaire. It made me feel like I was paying to be in a place trying to extract from me, not serve me. And yes, I did complain twice to the front staff about these issues - to stony faces and lame excuses that were canned and code for "we don't care." The resort fee is $60/day (which is not made clear on Orbitz, where I booked it), yet when I went in February the pool and all outdoor facilities - which is what the resort fee pays for - closed at 6pm. We were told it closes at "sundown," even though they clearly have outdoor lights for the whole outside facility. Want to swim in the evening or night? Nope. All those pictures with the pool lit up? Not for you. And if you dare to be in the pool at 6:01, there were six staff for every one guest to tell you to get out. Seriously, we got warnings to get out at 10min to 6, 5min to 6, and at 6:00. Why every five minutes? Because a group of staff members were hovering over us, watching and waiting for the moment to kick us out. Very relaxing. You have to wear an armband everywhere you go. Staff are at every door as you go in or out - hotel to pool or pool to beach - monitoring you to produce it. Very relaxing. There is no coffee in the room, forcing you to travel across the whole huge facility (3 towers connected by long walks) to their coffee shop to pay $10 for a cup of coffee each morning. You could walk all the way back to your room, or - like me - you can try to drink it by the pool. But NO! You can't sit by the pool. Those seats and lounges require you to pay a fee, even in February when there was NO ONE there. If you don't want to pay, you can find a free lounge on the outer fringes. And if you try to sit without paying, there are staff to tell you to move immediately. Hovering, as usual. To get a lounge on the beach - in February, low season - we had to get in line to sign up for a chair and then get in a second line of 20-30 people and wait in the hot sun for an available, assigned chair and a staff person to take us there. Grab a chair and relax? Nope. It's a monitored system. When we checked out, the staff told us there were too many rooms to provide a coffee maker in each one. I guess their policy is to assume their guests are stupid.
