The sauce had a bright fresh taste which perfectly complimented the pretzel. We ordered the "On the Veg of your seat" pizza which was sauce, cheese, sautéed sweet mild onion, bell pepper, black olive, and mushrooms. The crust was thin and crispy and golden brown. We enjoyed the crunch of the crust and there was the optimal amount of cheese. But enough of the pizza, let's talk PASTRY! We got the banana vanilla cupcake. Start with a yummy banana cupcake, add a banana cream pudding core, and top it off with an incredibly smooth vanilla icing and a vanilla wafer on top. My goodness. It was GOOD! If you're not a part of the political party that does that, they'll say that you aren't welcome. I was polite, as I was alone, but I did say, "I will be sitting over here the whole time," the 5th time I was asked to sit in the city council member's booth. One of the woman said, "he's not a pervert, he just plays the part." I did like her but If my husband had gone instead of me the comments would have been different. They might think they were friendly or charming but actually most people would find these comments intrusive and uncomfortable. The bakery isn't responsible for every customer who walks through the door, but if this behavior is common, then it becomes part of the customer experience. I was antsy to get my food and leave... Just a mom grabbing breakfast for my family at 6:45am. They have good food and reasonable prices. The server there was wonderful and so was the man pouring coffee. It's just that some of the patrons act like they don't have mothers, daughters, or decency.

Not only is the coffee legit, the bakery section is popping. Croissant any thing has always been the trick. But. BUT. During my last visit I just needed a bite of pure sugar. Y'all!! The brown sugar coffee. I bit up the whole thing. Not even embarrassed and don't feel bad. Totally worth it. Highly recommended spot for coffee a bit and friendly people.

The Flour Power Bakery brick and mortar shop is finally open!…read more I didn't make it to their grand opening on Friday, but I've enjoyed quite a few of Michaela's treats over the years. I've gotten plenty of macarons at farmers markets and more recently have enjoyed her holiday treat boxes. She's had a Pullman pick-up option and also offered delivery. It seems like a lot of people have discovered her because their kids live in the WSU dorms and she has advertised dorm building delivery. I'm not sure if dorm deliveries have mostly been the holiday treat boxes or birthday cakes. I haven't tried any of her cakes yet but have enjoyed seeing the photos on FB/Instagram. The 21st birthday cakes with fun designs seem especially popular.
