A huge rainstorm blew in as I drove over and so I entered quite literally with a clap of thunder. It was scary! I made a joke about getting struck by lightning to defuse the tension and the two employees and the couple guests in the space looked at me like I'd grown three heads and said nothing. This frosty reception continued as I looked at the menu, asked a question, and placed my order. Not the most welcoming staff. The atmosphere otherwise is very nice! Love the decor and the welcoming art and signs. Seems like a great place to get some work done. There's a small library where you can grab a book to read too. There's pastries and baked goods for sale and maybe a few other things to eat; I was stuffed from lunch so didn't pay too close attention. I asked a staff member which of two specialty lattes she liked better; she flatly told me she hadn't tried the "Easley" but that the "Swann" was their best seller. I chose that. It had white chocolate and caramel; I declined the whipped cream on top and got it iced. It was a really good coffee drink! Super pale blonde in color and very sweet...but that's how I like my sugar - er, coffee. It was a nice dessert/energizer combo and I enjoyed it a lot! Would ultimately recommend for vibes and a tasty treat.

Right now, I'm in love with their Iced Vanilla Chai Tea topped with Lavender Cold Foam--it's simply delicious! The wait isn't ever too long, and the prices are just right. Reviews are kind of all over the place, I'll go middle of the road, but would tend to lean towards it probably being more along the lines of a 2.5 star location. The person working was friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable about the menu items, but that's about where the good came to a complete stop. Limited flavors available, so not a lot of options if you aren't into coffee and are looking for something different. My wife had been trying all day to get a good cup of coffee .... this wasn't it. Just to clarify, she isn't a coffee snob in any way shape or form .... she is pretty easy going when it comes to coffee. She was pretty much ready to toss what she had and not drink anymore, so really all in all not that impressed. As I type this review and keep looking at the three star rating as being 'OK', I realize that isn't a fair rating and am lowering it to a 2 star review. Again, the person working was friendly, but you're going here to buy a good cup of coffee and that isn't what we got.

I thought that it would be fun, but wasn't holding my breath as to whether it would meet my expectations on what I usually order when I get coffee. It was DELICIOUS!!!...and definitely exceeded my expectations! I will definitely return when I come to town again and HIGHLY recommend them if you happen to be in the area!!!

I was in the area on my way home and decided I'd grab a coffee from here since my earlier coffee of the day was disappointing and I always love to check out local coffee when I'm in unfamiliar places. This coffee shop is located in downtown Fayetteville and has a cute historic small-town feel to it. Street parking wasn't too hard to find in the early afternoon. I walked into a nicely air conditioned shop and was promptly greeted by a polite employee. They have a lot of specialty drinks with different flavors posted on the wall. They also offer some simple lunch options. After a minute or so of deliberation, I decided to order one of their specialty lattes. I'm a little bit removed from my visit, but I seem to recall it being the "Witches Brew;" it had some combination of chocolate, caramel, and I think maybe vanilla flavors. The nice employee made it for me quickly and I was out the door. Overall, it was a decent beverage. It mostly just tasted like a mocha to me -- didn't pick up on much caramel or vanilla. It was better than the coffee I got earlier, though, so that was a plus! The service was very polite, I liked the vibe, and I liked my drink enough that I'd return and try another drink in the future.

The interior is decorated really nicely, kind of cool and funky vibes with a surprising amount of space available to hang out. Cute merchandise for sale too. I had a little bit of trouble finding the menu but eventually found it on a paper card placed somewhat inconspicuously near the register. I was only interested in coffee but they have a decent selection of cafe-type food and other beverages. They have seasonal specials and more standard, always-available house specials. I selected one of these and got a small iced Turtle latte, which had chocolate, caramel, and praline flavors. I thought service was a little standoffish and put-upon seeming, but I wouldn't say they were rude; just not super welcoming. My drink was made and served quickly and I got back on the road. The drink was good! Nice balance of ice to liquid and a yummy, sweet, rich turtle flavor. There was a slight artificially nutty aftertaste that I'd guess was the praline that I didn't love, but overall this was a solid drink that I'd probably order again. Give them a try if you're in the area.

The staff still seemed irritable and not friendly, which again made us feel more like an inconvenience than customers. We had to ask multiple times about our drinks and food, which was frustrating. Again, the HIGH prices... On the bright side, there's a nice bookish vibe that gives it that cozy feel. With the exposed bricks/ductwork, mismatched secondhand furniture, and a small selection of books, it does seem like a good spot to relax and chat with friends... Still, I'll be looking for a different coffee place next time! Somewhere the employees attitudes match the chill atmosphere.

I was glad to try it on this visit. It's impressively large inside and so there's tons of space to spread out so you can have peace and quiet to work or read or space to gather with friends. It was fairly empty and quiet when I visited but it was later in the afternoon for a coffee. They also have a small selection of goods that would make nice gifts, such as tea bags and honey. The employee working was very nice and we chatted a little about the new specialty drink she was workshopping. The drink menu is creative and has a lot of different options. They also have sandwiches and other light lunch options. I asked her what her favorite drink was and she said she liked the honeybee latte (espresso with vanilla syrup and honey) extra sweet. I replied that I like a little coffee in my dessert and asked her to make me one. It was out quickly and looked yummy - maybe a tiny bit small for the price but nothing egregious. Overall, I liked the drink. The ground cinnamon on top was a nice touch. I'm glad she made it extra sweet because regular might not have been quite enough for me. I did think the vanilla had a slightly artificial taste to it that I didn't love, but it also wasn't egregious. I'd probably try a different latte if I return just to explore the other options and see if I found one I liked better, but again, overall, I was satisfied with my experience. This place is worth a visit if you're needing caffeine or a good place to hang out in the area.
