It's a steakhouse and we didn't want to inconvenience them. The owner answered and heartily welcomed us in. We got some drinks and split a burger. The food was phenomenal!!! Steakhouse burger.... Double beef patties with enormous sides-- the broccolini and fries--- chef's kiss. We heard everyone around us sharing praises about various dishes. One guy went up to personally to thank the Chef. The oysters Rockefeller had so many accolades... I'm jealous that I didn't have the capacity to partake in them. They cheers'd us for our anniversary and made our night extra special THANK YOU!! The real star of our visit, though, was the pie! i ordered a slice of the strawberry rhubarb and it was absolutely fantastic. It was truly the highlight of the meal, and I honestly regret not ordering a whole pie to bring home. This place is exactly what you hope to find when traveling, a charming, local, mom-and-pop gem with delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The owner, the servers, and even the folks in the kitchen made us feel like we'd been coming here for years. Sitting right next to our table was a plate of fake roaches and a pile of crooked silverware. Between that and all the hilarious signs and decorations covering the walls, I probably spent as much time looking around and laughing as I did eating. Every wall has something worth reading, and it's all part of the experience. The breakfast was fantastic, but honestly, that's not why I'll remember this place. A place that makes you laughh, treats you like family, and makes you feel like you belong before you've finished your first cup of coffee is much harder to find.
