Ordered a chia tea hot with oat milk. Companion had a mixed berry smoothie. The chia tea was great and cost 5.50 and about the size of a grande (Starbucks). The smoothie was good, tart and not too sweet. Service was good. The place is open and airy. read more

After our appointment at the Cleveland clinic we decided we would take a mental health day and go to Niagara Canada. Once we left I decided I needed some coffee to offset the fatigue and dreary weather. We found this quaint little shop on our route and decided to stop. Our favorite thing is they had both coffee and ice cream! I love coffee and my husband loves ice cream so it was the best of both worlds for us! It was also the perfect mid day snack to accompany our drive into Canada before dinner. We would gladly stop in if we are ever in the area again! I often meet my graphic clients here to go over projects. The coffee is great, the light eating selections sure beat fast food. I saw in some reviews, a discomfort over the Christian-based atmosphere but have never found it to be pushy or in your face. The small town community vibe is a great find for these days. Yes occasionally the staff gets overwhelmed and it might take a minute, but well worth the wait. The small-town "rush hour" is random and beats a drive-thru any day. read more

Very good coffee there's just one person working weekday mornings and she's fast but it's just one person. Pastries wrapped in plastic aren't good - moisturize condensates- but the cakes not wrapped are good. I haven't tried their other food yet. read more

My nephew was running at The Spire Institute and we had a lot of time to kill. My friend raved at this little coffee shop in downtown Madison called Open Door and I knew we needed to check it out, I'm glad we did. It was great! A big open space with lots of comfy chairs, tables and wifi Open Door is built for relaxing, chatting, studying, reading and hanging out. The colors are bright and comfy. It felt a bit like hanging out at home. The barista was super friendly and helpful as we navigated the small yet varied menu. She was willing to go off the list for me to get my cafe au lait with sugar-free caramel syrup. My mom went with a large mocha and said it was delicious. They also have whole beans for sale in a variety of tasty roasts and flavors. We also treated outselves to one of the yummy-looking pastries from Bliss Bakery. I had the orange brownie and she had a chocolate no bake cookie. Both were amazing. Also on the menu were sandwiches and homemade soups. If I am ever back in the area I hope to get some more time at Open Door with a good book or a good friend. read more

I was hoping too find a coffee house a little closer to home with a good atmosphere, where I can work on my Graduate studies for long periods of time. However, open door coffee has an overtly Christian theme and is uncomfortable to those that do not belong to that faith. The people working here come across as arrogant and the Christian rock is so loud that I could hear it over my headphones. There is also a monitor displaying random bible passages and it quite distracting. It might be beneficial for Open door to tone down the secular ideology some to make it more accompanying to those who do not subscribe to white Christian nationalism. read more

Any time I pass through Madison, Ohio, this coffee shop is one of my favorite stops for a cup of refreshment with a splash of fellowship. Every summer my friends and I go to the Open Door Coffee House, of course I'm not a big coffee fan but I have tried the ice cream there and it is to die for!
