I emailed the bank president (Jordan Carpenter) and he stated "Unfortunately we are unable to monitor every account we have in our system for balances and closures which is why much of the system is automated. One month turned into two. My calls and emails were not returned. The bank that held the mortgage before said he was going to foreclose if I didn't get refinanced. That bank was a small private bank in Saint Charles, Illinois and was a bad idea to do business with to begin with. Thanks to Citibank dragging their feet forever, the house went into foreclosure. I do not recommend that anyone attempt to get a loan from Citibank. Either they are inexperienced, or don't want to loan money. But they were unprofessional in a way that went beyond my prior experience. I have had a Citi credit card and been banking with them since 1978. Never a late payment. I don't get it. It's like the mortgage department is run by aliens.
