The portions are impressively large and you won't be forking out a shedload of money if you're having three courses. The staff are incredibly helpful (although, that may be down to the fact that I was invited there by a family who frequents Oysters a lot), friendly and efficient. The layout is smart enough, but in no way over-egged. You don't have to dress up to eat there, but should you arrive in your Sunday best, you won't look out of place at all. Basically, this is a gem of a place and well worth snooping it out. They make amazing things with fishes.

After placing our order at 4pm, it was about 30 minutes until finally received our starters. By 4:45 we enquired when our food would be arriving, and were told abruptly that "it was coming". At 5pm, we asked again, and were told it would be the next one out of the kitchen. We had noticed several tables that had arrived after us had already received their mains. Around ten passed 5, as we were getting ready to walk out, four of the meals finally arrived along with a mumbled apology which really wasn't sufficient given the length of time we had waited. Side dishes then all arrived without the last two mains. We had to ask again about two of the mains. The gravy had sat so long that a skin had formed on it and several dishes were cold, and a chicken meal was bland and tasteless. Having finally got all of our meals, with hardly any apology for the time it had taken, the staff then proceeded to completely ignore us for the rest of the time, with no offer of further drinks or sauces, or anything else!!!! It was not that busy but even so, our simple orders could surely have been dealt with. The staff seemed inexperienced and socially inept. It was a humiliating experience and completely ruined our new years holiday. We will never dine there again.

We walked into Yellow Pepper without a reservation and were graciously met by Naomi, who was simply terrific! The food, ambience and service were outstanding. In fact, it was so great that we decided to spend the second night at the restaurant and the food again was superb. If you find yourself in or near Letterkenny, I would definitely make Yellow Pepper a required stop for fine dining.
