Chile shop carries Los Chileros and so does five and dime. Los Chileros is a very authentic New Mexican brand of chili products and seasonings, they sell to almost every major New Mexican restaurant. Five and dime uses Los Chileros chili powder for their famous frito pie. It's a very complex chili. The Chile shop's brand of chili powder is so amazing too I'm thankful I bought the 1 lb bag of spice because I made beef adovada at home with that spice and oh my gosh, it literally tastes like I'm in New Mexico and boy is it hot. Very simple store with only new Mexico's best. Kind and helpful staff, very cool store for sure. My only regret is that I didn't stock up enough. Well I guess that's incentive for me to go back to Santa Fe!!

My god, what a find!…read more A friend and I stumbled upon this store while on a two hour visit to Santa Fe on our way to Albuquerque. We loved it so much that we spent a significant amount of time in here sampling all of their balsamic vinegars. You'll feel like a kid in a candy store with all of the classy stainless steel dispensers available for you to sample at your leisure. It was so difficult to decide but I walked out of there a happy woman with a bottle of their 18 yr aged tradition balsamic vinegar (top seller) and a bottle of their, wait for it... Georgia Peach Balsamic Vinegar.. my god. As you would imagine, that vinegar is light colored, rich and sweet (just how I like my men). This place is a DEFINITE stop if you are a balsamic vinegar, olive oil and/or salt connoisseur. Prices are reasonable ($20/per bottle), considering the amount and the quality. I like to think of this place as a little slice of Europe in the middle of Santa Fe. Also, I came across this video tonight while trying to figure out if Oleaceae already had a presense on Yelp. It was a very busy bar - a few seats at the bar itself and a few tables... Multiple TVs showing the NBA playoff game of the night. Overall nice vibe to the establishment. Someone dropped us off menus, but it was the bartender that actually took our order - two house margaritas on the rocks, which was the special of the day. He was very apologetic for the wait, as it took him a while to take our order and deliver our drinks. We were disappointed that they were out of ice cream, so two of the three dessert options, really were not available. What a shame. The margaritas themselves were a disappointment, but what do you expect for a five dollar special Overly syrupy, not too much alcohol and super tart. Friendly people and staff, below average drinks.

It was cool getting to see them roasting fresh chile and the band that played was soo much fun! The best booth for us was Dancing Turtle Studio. Absolutely stunning pieces of art and my guy bought me one of the hot air balloon pieces to commemorate our 1st anniversary. It honestly couldn't have been more perfect! The artist herself was incredibly sweet and wonderful to talk with. It was amazing getting to hear about her process as well!
