Seward Park

Such a cozy, sweet space, reminiscent of various abbeys and homesteads throughout the city…read more Our first time here, the corner lot looks almost like a house, the only distinguishing feature, a sign outside letting you know you've arrived at your destination. Plenty of street parking, at least on a Sunday evening, and easy street-level entry. Pass through a small lobby space and find yourself in a delightful, square-shaped room with tall ceilings, cozy lighting and a feeling of warmth. A kitchen is available for use to the renters, as is a small stage atop which can be found a standing piano, whose sounds carry beautifully throughout the establishment. The room is large enough to host a number of people, tables, chairs, etc.; yet contained enough to feel warm and full.

Hell, anything attached with the word "wedding" is typically expensive. Truth be told I really wanted to get married in a brewery but that didn't pan out due to unresponsive beer garden managers. I remembered a friend of mine had an art show at the Lakewood Seward Park Community Club years back. As I walked past tables filled with art for sale I looked around the place and thought it was charming. Never again did I think back to the venue until I needed one and my original plans felll through. This was the only place I was going to get hitched at because it was all I needed. While it is rather simple inside, it has charm and potential. The main room is the perfect size for small to medium sized gatherings (it can fit 150 seated people). You have a clean slate to work with, all white walls, a stage, and hardwood floors, and the size is manageable enough that you don't feel overwhelmed. The price is very reasonable considering the cost of other venues. Many similar venues were higher in price. You rent by the hour and included in the rental are tables, chairs, and use of the kitchen. There is a coat room which was converted into a dressing room for my event and the yard to the side of the building is spacious. Another positive is the venue allows dogs inside. The best thing about the clubhouse? Sheila, the venue coordinator. I can't praise her enough! She responded to my e-mails in a timely manner and answered all of my many questions. She was always available to let me view the venue when I was in the planning stages. I couldn't have asked for a better venue to get married in. It fit my now husband and I's vision of having a fun relaxed DIY wedding.

Love this place…read more I've been playing pickleball here for a few months and the courts are great. The owner is very personable and the people that frequent this place are very friendly. There are 2 indoor sand volleyball courts (with the GOOD sand) and 2 indoor pickleball courts with the outdoor court surface. The building inside is well lit and comfortable. Also there's a parking lot! This is a gem to have so close in Columbia city and I hope more people find and use it

Georgetown

My experience echoes so many of the positive reviews already said. We had our wedding here (~100…read moreguests) and I cannot say enough good things about both the experience with the planning process and the night of the wedding. 1. The planning process: Danielle, the event manager, was organized, thoughtful, answered all our questions promptly, and gave us ample heads-up with any deadlines we might be approaching. She had a great group of vendors who she worked with (we went with one of her florist and DJ recommendations- both were stellar). 2. The night of the wedding- I heard from many friends to prepare myself for things going wrong and to roll with it - but nothing went wrong! The event staff at Georgetown took care of everything! The food was delicious (many raves about the meal and the appetizers), and the drinks were equally good (a wide range of options + our signature cocktails - the Jolly Roger and the Orange Mojito). The groom and I were able to dance and enjoy the time with all of our guests, knowing that everything was taken care of. Finally- the venue itself - it was gorgeous and exactly what we imagined for our wedding day. The location is great, just down the street from some fun after-party bars. I highly recommend hosting an event at Georgetown Ballroom.

The care, experience, atmosphere and attention to every detail is beyond what I was expecting! We had a couple people come and say they are looking at evening their daughter's wedding here. The food, the bride and grooms rooms were so inviting and welcoming. The rehearsal was such a good experience too!! We used the photo van and the hot dog cart. People are still saying it was the best wedding they have been too!! Check this place out!!!

Industrial District

On our wedding priorities list-finding a venue that we loved, felt connected to, and fit our "vibe"…read more(we called it playful modern? Idk, lol) was the highest priority and the first wedding planning task we took on. We live in Seattle and wanted to get married in the city, and were drawn to industrial type venues. I think all in all we toured 15 venues across different Seattle neighborhoods-a handful in the Sodo neighborhood- and ended up choosing WithinSodo for it's versatility in space, it's already existing beauty (hint-budget brides- you really don't need much additional decor unless you really want it), the welcoming staff, the easy kitchen for caterers, its size being large enough for our group but small enough to still feel intimate (we invited 200, 140 showed) and the opportunity to have some outdoor space on our wedding day. Even before our wedding day, each time we waked into the WithinSodo space we felt butterflies, the energy is really something you can't see or touch but you can feel it and we loved it. While needing to use the in house bar at first felt like a con because it can be more expensive than doing it on your own-in the end became a pro as the ease of having everything taken care of by talented professionals (our drinks were amazing, the bar staff even worked with us to create a secret cocktail on the menu) was well worth it-and the cost was much lower than we expected given our friend group of happy drinkers. We just loved everything about spending our wedding day at within Sodo from the ambiance and the slow reveal of different rooms in the space and especially the rooftop dance party and we'll be forever grateful that we chose this space. Kate. We can't review WithinSodo without gushing about Kate, which feels truly evil because not everyone will get to work with her in the same capacity as we did. Sorry everyone. Kate is the venue representative but happened to be filling in for the on-site day of coordinator to plan and execute our wedding day while WithinSodo was going through a coordinator staffing change. However, we have to elaborate on how lucky we feel to have been placed with Kate and how lucky you'll be to have Kate play ANY part in your wedding day as part of the WithinSodo team. We were able to completely relax and enjoy our wedding day because Kate worked so hard and so efficiently leading up to it and the day of the wedding. Kate's astute attention to detail got us thinking about aspects of our wedding day that we hadn't even considered, and through the answers she gleaned from her thoughtful questions she knew exactly what was important to us and where we were more flexible. She got to know us, our story, and our hopes for the day so well and by the time the wedding day came we trusted her without reservations to solve problems, make decisions, and execute the best night of our lives so that we could be present. As a wedding client you have unlimited virtual or in person walk-through sessions at the venue as you're planning, and we found ourselves taking every opportunity possible not only to come see the space in person but to spend some time with Kate. Her professionalism is 10/10 but in a way that still leaves her completely approachable and fun to be around. Kate-we know that you moved mountains for us on and before our wedding day and we will never forget the love and care you gave to us. We just received a sneak peek of our wedding video and Kate makes a tiny appearance and our hearts bursted with joy when we saw this because she became so cherished in our wedding memories. While she was in the background making everything happen she was very much in the foreground of gifting us calmness, confidence, and reassurance on our wedding day. Thank you Kate we adore you!!
