Came here for a massage. A few things stood out: firstly the decor and furniture seem a bit tired and worn. It's basically a maze of dark hallways dotted with well-worn ikea furniture. Secondly, I was never given any pre-massage paperwork to ask about health concerns or preferences. Thirdly: I booked a massage with Arielle, but ended up with a man as a masseuse. I was in need of a massage today after a particularly rough week. I've never gone to The Spa and looked it up. It was close and thought I'd call and give it a try. They were able to fit me into their schedule within 15 min! The facilities were clean, modern and welcoming. I was welcomed and given a quick tour before my massage. I chose the 60 minute Swedish Massage and it was amazing. Mahogany was my masseuse and she was terrific. Thanks to The Spa for an enjoyable experience! My nail tech Anilka was amazing, she was very personable and pleasant and my pedi looks great. The reason for 3 stars is NOT because of her. I arrived 10 minutes early for my 3:00 appointment but was not taken back until 3:25. And I paid for the hour long signature pedicure but was helped out of my chair before 4:00. I didn't mind waiting to be taken care of, but would've liked to have had the whole hour for the pedicure. But the staff is booked every hour and to stay on time they are pressured to end appointments on time no matter whether they started on time or not. Will consider going back if I can't find availability at another salon. And will definitely book with Anilka if I do. read more

Came for some pampering. Got a Signature Spa Mani & Pedi. My hands and feet were never treated so wonderfully. Scrub, lotions and paraffin wax! They gave me a tour when i arrived and it was wonderful. I got my manicure in the nail spa room but then for my pedicure they told me the chairs where broken (but yet there where other customers there); so they have me the pedi in the reflexology room, i was told it was quieter but being right at the entrance that wasn't so. They chair was also uncomfortable for me, since im short, and the nail specialist because she was sitting on a foot stool. There are numerous hotel-based day spas in Orlando as you get closer to the theme parks, but I didn't know until recently that there was a day spa this close to downtown. I'd made my appointment just for a massage, unaware how big their facility actually is. I was offered wine upon arrival and took a quick tour of the space - they offer mani/pedi, facials, reflexology, several different styles of massages, two different relaxation rooms, a sauna, a hot tub/outdoor cabana in the back (would be fun to reserve this for a bachelorette party) and a nap room. Yep, a nap room. If I worked within walking distance I would get a membership here to leverage the intraday naps. My massage was with Adriana, who was very friendly and did an excellent job of hitting the spots where I had the most tension (all the ones I mentioned to her, and a few others she found). Bonus: there's a half-off first visit promo on Yelp. They also have a half-off club for those who have sufficient time to pamper themselves on the regular. I purchased a voucher from Dealagio for The Spa, LLC in Orlando, Florida on June 10th, 2011, and attempted to redeem it yesterday. I was rudely told by the manager that my Dealagio voucher for membership to the half off club was not valid, as they had terminated their half off club and replaced it with a premium membership. I had already noticed this on the website, however, "The Half-Off club has been upgraded to match our new location, it is now our Premium Membership program." The Spa, LLC's website explained that the benefits of the half off club would be transferred over as part of a "Premium Membership." The manager repeatedly told me, I could not use the half off club as stated in the voucher. In addition to Dealagio voucher, I also had a Groupon voucher which I was told I could not use. While the staff acted extremely rudely, The Spa did not look like a relaxing atmosphere anyway. I would not recommend it to anyone, paying full price or not. It is not even worth the discounts offered online. The space is tiny, not relaxing, hot and it looked very dirty and unorganized. It was empty the entire time I was there, it seemed like the receptionist and the manager were the only employees. read more

I type this as I lay comfortably on a massage chair, enjoying the view of ivy-lined walls from a quiet, private room while my nails dry from a fabulous pedicure. Nan, my technician, covered me with a towel and encouraged me to rest (apparently I look like I need it). Talk about service! This was my first nail service here, and I couldn't be happier. I have had several massages here now with Sebastian and Emily - both wonderful in different ways. I'm always greeted by name and with a smile upon entering the spa. How refreshing to come to a place that makes you feel welcome! There's a little patio out back with a spa where I love to hide before my massage service. They even once offered to perform the massage outside -- I may have to take them up on it next time. The place is clean, well-priced and excellent service all around. Always offered a beverage (including wine), and the available salt scrubs and lotion are just lovely. I was in town for a conference with my family and we stopped by this spa to relax for some massages. We arrived exceptionally late to our appointment due to the traffic but the owner, Andy, never said a begrudging word. He warmly welcomed us and got us into our appointment. I had a massage with Sebastian and it was absolutely heavenly. Usually when I ask for a deep massage, I get sensitive on my spine, but Sebastian was able to give me a deep massage while applying just the right amount of pressure and responding to my body's need. If I lived in the area I would be back every week. My mother and I also stayed for pedicures with Roma. She is such a friendly and lovely woman, as well as an extremely talented manicurist. She is deeply concerned with providing the best experience and service possible and by the time you leave you end up making a friend. After having a stressful day or week, this is the place to go. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and appreciate every one of the staff for accommodating my family and I. We are sad to leave! read more

I have been a member at The Spa for a little over a year now and am a very frequent client. Not only is their membership a great value, but the services that you receive (being a member or not) are all amazing! Upon entering, I am always greeted immediately and offered a complimentary beverage. They then escort you to one of their two comfortable waiting rooms while you wait for your service--one is a quiet dark, and cell phone free room, and the other is a bright room which allows cell phones. All the spa rooms and pedicure rooms are very clean and all the staff is very friendly and welcoming all the time. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Spa, their staff, and all of their services. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. read more

I have been to The Spa twice now. The first time I went, I was greeted immediately and offered a much needed glass of wine. My service that day was a facial which was fine, not great. The wrap-around towel they gave me to wear was very damp...either from the client before me or wasn't dried thoroughly in the dryer. Since they use the hot mist on your face, all I could think about was that the dampness was from the previous client. Ick. Was I wearing the same towel??? The second time I went was for a Swedish massage. The receptionist again greeted me and offered me a drink...which she forgot to deliver. I waited in their tranquility waiting room, which is NOT relaxing at all. They leave the door open and give tours. It's kinda humorous how they describe it as the relaxing room when you can hear the music booming from the mani/pedi area and they're giving tours! They absolutely should keep that door closed the whole time!!! As for the massage itself, absolutely 5 stars with Terrell. He is a new employee there and he did a FANTASTIC job. I'm getting married in a couple of weeks and he was able to relieve all of my upper body stress. He is very well trained...he knew exactly where to add the pressure to relieve the knots in my back. I cannot say enough about how great of a job he did. I felt so much more relaxed. If you are stressed, ASK FOR TERRELL!!!! If it weren't for him, the spa would get a 2 star review from me because it is not a relaxing environment at all. read more

This was my first time going to this place and I found it through Google. This was not even my original choice, but the massage therapist that I had booked a couples massage with canceled on me that morning. I was calling many different places and lucked up with The Spa. They told me they could take us in an hour and we agreed. I arrived a little after my appointment time, but the staff called to guide us in as I was a little confused on directions. Upon getting there, everyone greeted us so happily and we were serviced immediately. After our massage, the staff took the time to show us around and do all of the things we missed out on due to our late arrival. This place is packed with amenities for members and non-members. And when I say small, I mean like only 2 pedi stations and only 2 mani stations. So, definitely make an appointment before you go. We made an appointment before we came but we still had to wait a bit. It wasn't too terrible since they offered complimentary drinks (even mimosas!). There is not much privacy in this place since it is so small, so if anyone around you is having a conversation it can impose on your quiet time. I'm not sure if I would enjoy a massage here because the rooms are right next to the mani/pedi stations and who knows how thin the walls are. Overall, I liked this place. This spa is amazing I have never seen such a large spa with so many amenities. The infrared sauna and the Jacuzzi outside is such a nice addition. The pedicure room is huge with big beautiful windows to see outside. If you want to be truly pampered I would highly recommend getting a pedicure. My hot stone massage by Thomas felt like I was in heaven. The Bio peel facial was a nice gentle peel my face looks and feels amazing. Initial walk in the place seemed pretty hectic . Not really a spa type atmosphere. The front desk people were okay. I was shown a waiting room while they offered me whine water or juice. It took a while to be taken back to start the service. I was supposed to start at 3 and it was 3:21pm when I got taken back. My esthetician name was Joanne and she was awesome. I guess there was a mix up of communication as far as who was going to take care of me. She has been doing nails for 10 years and it showed. I was there for an hour and a half but she was very thorough and my nails came out great. If I could give 6 stars I would. Best massage I've ever had. I'm a weight lifter and I have a history of being incredibly tight. Even deep tissue massages are usually like getting tickled by a feather. Most masseuses give up and try to upsell me an extra hour. Yuna, on the other hand, gave me an unbelievable massage...it was almost like physical therapy, she did a lot of stretching to compliment the incredibly penetrative massage. Just came out The Spa and I must say I was not impressed one bit. I took my mom for a girls day. We got facials and massages. To begin it's all about presentation in my book. When we walked the girls at the front desk were eating a salad, they offered drinks which was nice yet they gave it to us in a plastic champagne glass. They could have used glass versus plastic. We were given a tour and showed us what was called the relaxing room. Yet I didn't see much relaxing and it was pretty noisy from people coming in and out. I was given the facial first. Worst facial of my life!! My 16 year old brother could have cleaned my face way better than the young lady. i felt like she just kept wetting my face and drying it with hot towels. She spent about 35 minutes wetting and drying and scrubbing my face. About 5 minutes removing my black heads and then put what seemed like soap foam on my chin and nose and left it alone for ten minutes and didn't do anything for those ten minutes. a massage in the mean time would have been nice. she did massage afterwards though. overall the facial hurt, i felt her digging her nails in my face. Not a good experience. Also, I could hear everyone coming in and out the spa and the clients or workers while in the facial room. The massage was done by Thomas. He was very nice and attentive. Only compliant there was the music kept skipping and pausing. I gave 2 stars bc the people who did the massage and facial were extra nice. But overall service and feeling pleased not so much. I am definitely going to get a facial next week but it won't be here. read more

My nails have not looked this good in a bit! The customer services was great! The staff was very attentive throughout our stay here. They also provided complimentary wine and soft drinks. I'm the kind of child who has always stocked up on candy before a night of insane ravenous chow-down so I naturally saved this gift certificate until finals! This trip is much needed and I enjoy being pampered - The Spa LLC still holds the great service Yelpers raved about from a year ago (drink selections, customer service, and environment atmosphere). The staff is friendly and talkative and enjoyable to be around and were attentive about keeping you hydrated. I also liked the nail polish selection - although there were only probably 70+ choices at least it was diverse. They stick with OPI and essie mostly and that's fine with me. **For those who are curious, I tried OPI's Don't Mess With OPI (for hands) and Austin-tatious OPI (for feet). read more

I was in Orlando and in quite a bit of pain. It was a Sunday and not many places were open. I discovered The Spa on Edgewater on Yelp and decided to drop in. I didn't expect them to accommodate me but I only waited for 30mins for a therapist. Adriana was my therapist and listened to my needs as I explained the type of pain I was experiencing. She was amazing, I had 60mins of deep tissue massage and left feeling completely renewed. I will definitely be back next time I am in town. read more
