We have a busy Airbnb in Munds Park and were previously using Summit for service and due to a few instances of dishonesty, we decided to switch to SpaGuy. They service our spa twice a week (summit was only every two weeks), they send photos of the spa condition after every service, and communicate when the spa needs anything major or just routine, like the water or filters changed. This is a night and day difference from the previous company, it's taken the stress off of us and given us the confidence of knowing our hot tub is sparkling and crystal clear for every single guest. We are super happy with every tech, each interaction is professional and they follow through when they say they're going to do something. read more

Do not deal with THOMAS.. He came to our home on the 1st, to see the site where we wanted our newly coming spa to be installed. He talked so much and jumped all over the place hardly letting us tell him what we wanted. He however, told us we would need an electrician and a plumber. Don't worry he said, we have it all covered. He left promising that he would get back with the details. I got you. Ya right!? We never heard from him after that, even texting repeatedly, he never responded. Until, on the 12th, I was angry and had enough, telling him that the spa would be here in a couple days. 8 demanded that he talk to me., give me cost, a contract....SOMETHING. So then I get a call from him screaming at me on the phone that I, THE CUSTOMER, had no right to demand anything from him, THE BUSINESS. Then he said he wouldn't help me unless I seriously, sincerely apologized TO HIM.. This man has serious problems! He's the most unprofessional, unorganized, idiot I've ever had the NOT PLEASURE to deal with. It's difficult I'm Flagstaff to find anyone for anything, so he thinks he has a monopoly on this. Regardless, I wouldn't deal with him, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE. WARNING, deal with at your own risk. read more

We used Thomas, the Spa Guy, for the first time when our spa control panel died just before Christmas. We had hoped to get the spa fixed over the holidays, but that wasn't to be, and the tech, Chris, didn't come by with a new control panel until mid January. Unfortunately, it didn't fit properly and had a hole on either side of the control panel that allows water to splash in the wiring and motors inside the wall of the spa. Thomas promised to make us a new plate to go over the control panel so it would look nice and cover the hole. The first time we used the spa, we found that only 2 of the 3 motors worked. So we called Thomas back. He had to order a new control panel, which took some time to come in, and we had to wait in his cue to get it installed. It wasn't until February when Chris installed the new control panel (apparently, the first one had been mis-wired). We thought Chris would bring and install the cover plate at that time. We finally got a fully working spa two months after our initial call December 22, but still no cover plate. It's now been over 3 months, close to 4 months and still no cover plate. We have called, left messages, and spoken to Thomas repeatedly. Every time we talk to him he says he's sending it this week. We've heard that multiple times, and still no cover plate. At this point it would appear The Spa Guy is just blowing us off. We are very upset and disappointed by his lack of attention to finishing our job. We paid him in good faith, and he has refused to send us the cover plate he promised us back in January. I would never use or recommend The Spa Guy. read more

We have been using The Spa Guy and Spa fairies for a couple of years now and could not be more pleased, our spas are always well taken care of, communication is excellent, and the few times we have needed repairs they have been taken care of in a reasonable time period. (We had been using a local company in Sedona prior and airbnb our home when not in town and often got complaints or were being charged for water exchanges sometimes every 3 weeks, since the switch we haven't had issues with either!) I am the husband to whom Thomas refers in his rebuttal to Sandi G, and it is patently and provably untrue that he called me every Monday. My phone logs will prove that I called and texted him repeatedly with no response. Further, he quoted us an hourly rate on the phone, but invoiced us for a rate $10/hr higher than he had quoted. His crew was unfailingly polite and helpful, but once we began to have disagreement with Thomas, his unwillingness to acknowledge that he could have at all been at fault, was his undoing. I'm a lawyer. Disagreement is part of my daily life. And, a dogged refusal to accept responsibility things inevitably go wrong is one of the reasons we need lawyers in the first place. read more

Asked for call when the tech sent out could not figure out how to open the panel on our in deck hot tub and also asked to get information on the removal of the hot tub in the event the hot tub was non repairable. Tech said he'd have owner call. No call. My husband crawled under our deck removed the panel in about 5 mins time. Months later I receive an emailed invoice for the techs time, who did nothing. Emailed back and asked for call again. No call. This happened again and no call back. Today I received an invoice in the mail, with a note saying they'd received the email and invoice was for what the tech could do. I called and left a message. I love to support small local businesses but when service is not provided and no one has the respect to pick up the phone after multiple requests and talk to the 'client' but they can email and mail a bill for no work done, all respect is lost. read more

I have been a happy customer of The Spa Guy for at least 5 years. It's hard to remember how long they've been taking care of our hot tub, but it's been many, many moons. We previously used another local service and did not have good luck. I don't have time to think about the chemistry of our hot tub, so I pay these guys to do it for me. In 5 years, I have never once opened the hot tub to find that it was not perfectly balanced and ready to enjoy. They come consistently, do a great job, and even leave a door hanger letting me know that the spa has been serviced. It's a great service, and these are great people. I would never even consider using another company. They've been rock solid for 5 years. All I want is a clean, fresh hot tub. These guys deliver. They're the best I've ever used. They're professional, consistent, dependable, and all around wonderful people. It's unfortunate that Yelp has decided to hide all of their POSITIVE reviews as 'not relevant' because in Flagstaff, you'll be hard pressed to find a better spa service. The send convenient quarterly bills, and are a pleasure to work with. In all the years that I've been working with them, I have never had a single complaint. Please think twice about using this company. I wanted my spa to be rebuilt and they said no problem. The technician came out on four different occasions to fix a leak and was unable to do so. I called another spa company and they came out and had it fixed within 2 hours. Never had a problem since. To be fair, the equipment that the Spa Guy installed was fine. It was unfortunate that the technician didn't know how to fix a leak. Frustrating and a total of 3 times emptying the spa and reheating it over a period of three weeks. Check around, there are other options in Flagstaff besides this company. read more

Our above ground spa turned green; knew of this local business and wanted to try them out. The tech did a good job of cleaning it. We weren't billed and had difficulty getting any calls returned to find out why or if they were going to return to make sure it was still clean, which never happened. After about 2 months the owner came by to order a new cover and see what supplies were needed; he gave good advice at the time. The cover came much later than promised, again very difficult to reach them to find out what was going on. The kicker is, when I pressed on why it was late, he became rude and disrespectful to me. He told me he wasn't going to speak to me or promise me anything about my spa working. When I tried to talk to him later to clear things up, he said he wasn't being rude, but I didn't ask for his help so he wasn't going to help me, and he said he was sorry "but... etc..." If you just want service and don't need to deal with the owner, go for it. If you want to be treated with courtesy and respect, want to be called back or have someone who isn't rude and insulting when asked to deal with problems from his end, find someone else. read more
