Avoid this company like the plague. They left fans running for 6 days without regularly checking. They billed us for two truck loads of waste disposal (I could have done it with one pickup load. They charged us for hazardous waste cleanup of their equipment when the leak was tap water! The also sent a bill with one day to pay without late fees (and no itemized list of charges)! And they charged over $70 to pay with a credit card! Awful company to do business with! Never again!!! Am contacting the BBB next! read more

Everything from quality of work to time management They took almost two years to compete. Crew management changed over 4 times. We payed everything on time. Rehab stayed untouched for over months at a time When they turned on the furnace they moved some thing and came home to find the room that took them 8 months to do flooded and ruined the drywall which they never fixed as well as putting up the vent smoke alarm and ceiling fan still sitting their undone. They didn't do the step with the flooring they didn't do the dry wall in the laundry room, they wrapped our kitchen cabinets up why they were wet in plastic and mold grew on them because the house stayed untouched for months the pipes burst causing more damage then they started with. They put these floor strips on the new flooring and screwed them into nothing fell off the next day. All the work that was done was half done. I never write reviews i usually let things go but this has been the worse experience in any business I have ever encountered we don't want them even back on our property and there is much more to say and pictures of everything read more

Avoid at all costs. Our insurance company (a reputable nationwide insurer) says Mammoth overcharged us $657 for mitigation work after a minor leaky pipe. They arrive during an emergency, ask you to sign what is essentially a blank check ("an estimated range") and then you never learn what you're actually being charged for - or how much - until weeks after the work is completed and by then you're stuck with the bill. They even charged us extra to clean their own equipment (which is normally the cost of doing business). Their estimate for repair/restoration work was also $1,065 higher than insurance thought was fair. Since we didn't meet our insurance deductible, everything is out of pocket. They seem to jack up costs when they think insurance is paying and seemed overly eager to knock holes in walls during mitigation that, in the end, didn't need to be done but would have raised repair costs even further (fortunately, we told them not to). On top of that, we were charged an absurd $72 (!) 'convenience fee' for paying online with a credit card. If you enjoy overpaying, Mammoth is the place for you. Otherwise, go elsewhere, there are far more reputable companies in town. read more

I had a nasty water leak that led to mold in my kitchen. It had started in April but we didn't catch it until July, which is when I started having health issues from the mold. We ultimately called another company that never showed so we called mammoth at that point in the beginning of August. It took mammoth about 3-4 weeks total to gut my kitchen and cure the mold. Thankfully since the damage wasn't that bad yet. I mean it was bad, but it was fixable. I had 2 consistent workers that were really great. Friendly, easy to talk to guys. Can't remember their names but I would recommend them to anyone in this same situation. The day the wood floors (that I was heartbroken to loose) had to come out, they had about 4 other people to help with tear out and clean up. Those folks were nice too. I did have some hiccups with the machine that had to be hooked up to my furnace. While I was upset it was casing my AC system to fail, they had their HVAC person check everything out and eased my mind saying it was ok. So I feel they were amazing at listening to any concerns I had. I believe my point of contact was Michelle Heater. I absolutely adore her. She was the person I could email and call and she was on my team helping me get this stuff figured out. This was an insurance job (Best Buy's insurance) so we struggled to get them to pay after they documented they'd pay in email. I never felt harassed by mammoth. We worked together to get that check cut and got it paid. One thing that did occur was the flooring in the kitchen was cut too deep from the saw blade not being set which cost us a good chunk of extra change we paid out of pocket. When we had engineer come out and inspect all the work and damage, he advised this was caused by mammoth. So we worked it out with them and had that amount taken off the total bill. I was very grateful for them working with me on that. But of I didn't have an engineer report stating such, we may not have recouped that money. We ultimately had our flooring done elsewhere because believe it or not, this was finished by mammoth in August but they barely called in December to finish construction. So I advised we already finished the remodeling but would gladly use them in the future for planned projects. I know we all have different experiences, but even with some setbacks I feel this was a good experience and they got the job done fast considering the mold. The cost was over 18k which I'd assume is reasonable in today's world, but thankfully BB insurance paid for what their installer caused. So I would absolutely recommend mammoth restoration. Just know they are so booked because they are very popular. Always keep your cool and be respectful even when things aren't working out. You'll get more bees with honey, than vinegar! I had an extensive flood in my home. Mammoth did an assessment for mold remediation. I spoke with the manager of the company to review services line by line. When we got to the 8 th line, the manager rudely said " I am too busy to go line by line, what do you want done" I relied I emailed the air quality mold report, and anything with mold was to be removed. He didn't even have time to read the mold report from Silver hammer Inspections. When asked about how to handle a final mold test and if it doesn't pass, abruptly, he replied, "you have to keep playing until it passes" This company is unprofessional, with the demeanor too busy for customer service. Is this the kind of company you want to remediate your home? Move on get another company ! read more

Our dishwasher decided to wash our subfloors right before Thanksgiving. At first glance I thought it was just a small amount of water, but found that a significant amount had went between the subfloor and the wood flooring. Mammoth came out and got fans and dehumidifiers up quickly, and have worked through my insurance company to get our kitchen back in order. We are still in the middle of this project, but I have found Mammoth to be super responsive and helpful in fixing this mess even during the holidays. I hope to NEVER need their services again, but if I do, I am confident that Mammoth is the right company to call. read more

I had a flood in my rental due to a leaky roof and I called Mammoth. Within an hour they came out, on a weekend nonetheless. They quickly got it patched up and then came back out to rebuild my kitchen, the next day, after all the damage was taken care of. If you notice, the reviews older than 2022 are all 5-star. Something has happened in the last two years that has really messed up this company. Our new home had major water damage, and Mammoth quickly cleared out everything from flooring, drywall, to furniture. Once everything was dried out, we were told it would be 3-4 months before they could fix things, and they wouldn't even give us a complete estimate. I paid $395 for Mammoth to come and assess water damage. The mobile house in Cornville AZ was new and it was under warranty. I could not read the pictures that they sent me . with their water meters. And they would not help me understand them. They would not bill the warranty people for any repairs they might do and they wanted me to pay first and then try to get the warranty people to pay me back. The invoice they sent me to do the repairs was exorbitant and they hadn't even opened the was to check the extent of the water damage and/or mold. It was a brand new mobile and the dishwasher had not been hooked up right which led to a leak which was immediately fixed when became aware of. We have lived in Flagstaff for 43 years and have never had a worse experience with any business. We called for a plumber to fix a leak and the plumber did a good job and fixed the problem and was paid for the service. then the problems started. The plumber then called his office to send a "mitigation" team. They came, set up a fan and a couple of electric heaters (which we could have done ourselves). There was a very minimal amount of moisture from the leak, so mitigation was unnecessary. they later send us a bill for well over $2000.00. they then lied and told us that they had informed us of the cost, they had not They charged us for an extra day, and for an emergency call during regular hours. They charged us extra for using a 3D scanner. The prices they charged for each line item was marked up 20 to 30% more than standard price. Our insurance company contacted them and they ignored him until I called them and gave them his phone number. We will never use Mammoth Restoration, and warn everyone to avoid this fraudulent business! read more

If you're an honest man looking for a job, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. You will either have NO work so you get sent home before lunch time. OR so much work that you don't get home till 10pm. These guys are so delusional they think we LIVE to WORK. And work they will, they will work you like you're not even a human. The work is so nasty, YOU will have to do it while the bosses stay CLEAN and out of harms way. You are the grunt and nothing more. The favoritism is crazy here so don't come expecting to go up in the ladder unless you're friends with the owner. I'm here for a check and that's all but this job is horrible. My home is very old and outdated and I started smellingsomething musty and I called Mammoth restoration because my daughter-in-law's friend's husband's step son recommended the place. A leak broke out because all of my plumbing is ancient and disgusting and this sweet young man helped calm me down at a time where I was extremely stressed out and completely breaking down because I love my home and very much could not imagine having to take care of everything on my own. Mammoth USED TO BE a good company. Unfortunately, it is not the case anymore. They send a guy for mold remediation who had no education in mold - we knew more than he did - and could not go under the house to detect leaks as ... he was too fat to fit in. They never sent anybody else. They are a joke. We have had mold remediation 4 times in the past in other states and have undergo some serious process with competent professionals. We had some significant water damage in our house in February. Mammoth fixed the plumbing, tore out the flooring, and dried out all areas that were affected. They were to order and install new flooring, repair the baseboards and patch some drywall. Today, April 6th, I made my 17th phone call to them asking where they are in the process. The answer is always the same: "I'll get with the project manager and have him call you." And yet, the phone call never comes. My advice, go elsewhere. They charge a fee to hold your appointment that doesn't get credited towards anything and I've never had that happen before. They ended up forgetting about me (you pay the fee online and then they call you to schedule you) so it took almost 2 weeks for me to get scheduled (I will admit I should have called sooner, but when you are directly told you will receive a call, it's easy to put it off and find excuses) but they did end up crediting the fee to hold the appointment to my bill because of that. However, they told me my appointment was at one time and when I called since they didn't show up I was told my appointment was actually at another time that same day so I had missed work for nothing. Might use them again if I can afford the deposit just to hold the appointment since the actual work they did was good and done quickly. They also work during heavy snow, the day they scheduled me we got a good amount of snow and I was expecting to get rescheduled, but they still came. The 3 stars is due to the multiple instances of miscommunication and the fact that I had missed work due to said miscommunication. The actual work I had done was 5 star work. read more

Shower pan failed and water eventually spread throughout the bathroom and eventually went through to downstairs family room. Mammoth restoration came out and took the affected area walls tiles off and placed their blowers throughout. The whole experience although devastating for us, the professionalism from mammoth restoration in drying the affected area was totally professional and respectful. Taking down the drywall the cuts were even and the area was cleaned up afterwards. Always on time to make their daily checkup and kept us totally informed. Dear Craig Moody and Sean Martin: I recently had frozen water pipes break in our 2 story plus basement home in Christopher Creek. It was awful as the water was pumping from our well for about 2 months before its discovery. We got a phone call telling us water was running out our windows. My son who lives in Flagstaff told me about the PuroClean Business in his hometown . My problem was right up there track. I was told a representative would meet with me the next day . Sean M was there representative and could not have been more understanding. He got right to work assurring me that although it was bad it was do-able. He had all the correct answers to any questions I had. He was thorough and professional. All damage goods were put into our garage . Undamaged goods were carried upstairs to a room over the garage.
