Never in the almost 30 years I've lived in Flagstaff, have I had such efficient, friendly, and prompt service from ANY company. Our furnace broke with the nighttime temps in the low 30's. Not such a big deal, except I have a 35-year-old parrot that is a member of our family. They did everything they could do to order and replace our furnace in record time. I cannot recommend this company enough. I so thank all of the people involved! several hours later: This furnace is WAY more efficient than our old one. read more

I have used Boyer several years for heating needs when necessary. My most recent visit was this first week of October 2025. Russ and Toby came to my rescue within hours. It took longer for them to call in the payment than to find and fix the problem. Both men were kind and professional as was the receptionist that took my initial call. Thank you for never failing us Boyer. read more

Just has a service call on my heating with a great service tech from Boyer. On time, knowledgable, got right to the problem and solved it. Explained everything to me including a necessary repair in the future. I asked for a quote on that and it's forthcoming. Great service, did what they said they would do. They're my Heating and A/C "go to" in Flagstaff now. WG/Presidio Pines read more

Boyer installed a very nice Bosch heat pump in my home last year. They made time to bring out shrouds for me to paint match for the exterior. There was a rare failure of the condensers power board and they came out within a couple of hours to diagnose the problem and had a board reinstalled into the unit quickly as well. Very good crew highly recommended. read more

We needed a routine service check on our AC. The woman taking my call was pleasant and efficient. Gordon, the tech, showed up on time, did the work, and went over the details with me. There was a minor problem which we discovered only later, but I called the next day (July 4th!) and Gordon was back to fix it it that afternoon. All in all we were very pleased with the experience and will be using Boyer again. read more

We had a new water heater installed and, after several months, began having problems with it. Toby worked with us to solve the problem after the manufacturer refused to replace it. All employees were helpful, respectful and professional at all times. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing service. read more

Heater not working and the house has cold. The service was right on time very professional, and we had heat in about an hour. There were several problems including a dead mouse on the motherboard!!?? Didn't see that one coming read more

I had another company come out who practiced severe fearmongering. Absolutely terrified me. I contacted Boyer for a second opinion. The first company quoted me over $27000. Boyer fixed my issues for $275.00. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and were interested in providing excellent service as opposed to another company who were just trying to take advantage of me. I highly recommend them. read more

Our 5 yr old furnace went out. Boyer answered and responded within hours. Determined the problem. Fixed it the next morning. A great, long time Flagstaff family and company. The employees were responsive and professional. Very grateful to them. read more

I have been on a hunt for a specific (old) type b exhaust pipe for weeks without any luck. I took a photo to Boyer and they took me back to some old stock and we found the manufacturer. While they did not have the pipe I needed, they took the time to help me and because of that I found the size I needed as old stock on eBay. When I need HVAC products in the future, these folks have my business. Thanks! read more

Second experience with Boyer at friends cabin in Munds Park. First was a routine call for a general service on heating and cooling. Worked out great. On 1-3-20 arrived at cabin found heater not working. Contacted Boyer for after hours service call. Josh arrived and diagnosis made, "igniter" needed replacing @ $197. Agreed, part replaced, service done, heater working. Next day, warm and toasty, found exact same part on Amazon for $23.63. Sent email and copies of Amazon page with the part, requesting explanation/refund regarding extremely high part mark up. Understand and appreciate the cost of after hours service call, $145.50. But the part markup is outrageous! After a week of no response, reply, am writing this review so others will know of this problem. Will NOT be a repeat customer again with this company. read more

I called Boyer because my air conditioning unit was not cooling the house. I spoke with Cheryl. She informed me that the technicians were all busy for the day, but she might be able to help me get it working until a technician could come check it out. Cheryl was incredibly helpful and was able to walk me through a few things. I did exactly what she told me, and now my air conditioning is cooling the house again! read more

We decided to replace our furnace, water heater and add central air conditioning. Toby gave us a prompt proposal and it was very reasonable (we had two other proposals that we rejected). The technicians who installed the equipment (Chad and Josh) were very professional, competent and extremely hardworking. I can highly recommend Boyer for this type of work. read more

It can be hard to find a good company to service HVAC systems, but Boyer did a great job for me. I called them up, and they sent a technician to my house within an hour! He was very good, he installed my thermostat and actually taught me quite a bit about the heating system in my house. It's annoying when you call a company and they don't answer, you leave a message, and they take forever to call you back, but I've called Boyer three times now and I always get a very nice dispatcher on the phone who answers my questions and schedules service very quickly. I'd highly recommend Boyer Heating & Cooling; they are courteous and great at what they do. Update: I had scheduled the technician to come back out to my house to finish the work he had started, and he said he'd be there "tomorrow by 8 am." He never showed up, and didn't answer his phone. It took another week and a half to get him to come to my house to finish the job. He was pretty nice about it, and gave me a discount on the work he did, but it was still frustrating to have a no-call/no-show when he had told me he would be here to finish the job. read more

Last year my old Trane needed service, and Boyer was there for me and fixed it. After over 20 years it broke for good in the cold of February. From getting information and an appointment from Cheryl to the installation of a propane heater by Toby, I had excellent service and results. read more

They were very helpful in maintenance of my furnace. The person who was sent to help me even taught me how to operate the furnace because I never had worked my particular type of furnace before. He was very professional and so was the operator who set my appointment. I had to reschedule twice and they were still very welcoming and friendly. read more

Recently Boyer replaced my old furnace with a new more efficient one. Toby was exceptionally helpful in helping me make this important financial decision. He organized my options and answered my questions. After shopping around, I found his price to be quite competitive. The front office was great in handling billing and scheduling. The installation crew were efficient and courteous and made sure I was completely satisfied before they left the site. I now look forward to having them provide my annual service. Very satisfied! read more

I paid for them to fix my heater last spring so it would be ready for the next winter. When the tech left the heater coils sayed on. He came back and said it was a bad relay. The same thing is happening again. Use them if you want your house to burn down. read more

Had Boyer rep, Toby, come out July 18 to give estimate, said he would have by July 21, still nothing August 17. Called 3 times and was forwarded to his voice mail, no response. Was asked on third call if I wanted to leave voice message and said for what. Toby never returns calls. I asked if they even wanted the business and Cheryl said that's up to you, meaning me. That's customer service, what a joke. Have used them before to service two boilers and was perfect. But I understand one key employee retired and now this company is floundering like a ship without a captain.........sad read more

The tech came in the scheduled window of time (didn't call ahead though, my only gripe). He was very knowledgeable and thorough and explained everything to me when I asked. He even installed my ecobee with no issues at all. Things are working great and we're ready for winter. read more

Getting someone to call you back these days is a challenge. If they do call you back the next hurdle is having them actually show up. When we realized that we needed a new HVAC system we dreaded the headache ahead. I called Boyer and Toby called me back in a very timely manner. He scheduled an appointment to come take a look and he was on time and very knowledgeable. Toby and his team were pleasant and professional and we would highly recommend them to friends. The work area was left neat and clean. Will be using Boyer again. If your time is important to you and cleanliness and professionalism is a must then give Boyer a call. read more

Boyer Heating and Cooling installed our air conditioner. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. Everyone was professional, efficient, and pleasant throughout the process. It's by far the best customer service I've experienced in Flagstaff. Toby deserves a special shout out for being so understanding and communicative. He's awesome! read more

Boyer saved us from a freezing home - literally! We came up to our cabin in Munds Park this past weekend to find the furnace not working. It was 35 degrees inside the cabin! My husband tried to to fix it but couldn't so we called Boyer. Their 24 hr technician came out in the middle of a snow storm and was easily able to fix and get us heat. Everyone from dispatch to the technician were super friendly and understood the situation we were in. I would highly recommend them. read more

Responsive company but didn't get good repair results. Had them come out to repair a gas wall heater on our home in Munds Park. They did come out as scheduled, diagnosed "furnace short cycling due to defective limit switch". About $111 for this diagnosis. A couple weeks later replaced defective limit switch for another $268, and unit still didn't work right. Called another company who termocoupler by the pilot light for $200 and it's been working like a champ. Nice people, just seems like might have misdiagnosed our problem. read more

We have had our heater stop working several times now, and every time it seems to be on a weekend or holiday. This time it is a holiday, and supposed to be extreme cold overnight. We called and they were at our doorstep very quickly, with excellent customer service and not too expensive (even with the holiday call-out). Wonderful service all around! read more

Wow!! I am blown away by this company's customer service! Cheryl who works in the office is such a sweet and caring person. I called late in the day and she was able to find a technician and squeeze me into their already busy day. Chad was my technician, such a nice, professional, and honest person. He was very thorough and only charged me the original service fee. Said that a part will eventually need to be replaced but it should be fine for now. So nice to have a technician come out and not try to rip us off!! I will recommend this company to everyone I know! A++++++++ read more

Boyer Service my furnace and do an excellent job. This year they installed a split cooling system in my house and provided first class service. They came round and looked at the house and made suggestions for a range of options. Then when I selected one they ordered the equipment and installed it very quickly and efficiently. The staff are all extremely courteous and helpful. I highly recommend them. read more

I recently worked with Boyer to install central air and replace my old furnace in one job. Every individual I worked with was professional, courteous, and competent, from the consultant who came out to spec the work and provide a quote, the front office, and the two installers who did the work. The installers showed up on time, worked efficiently, were polite, and did a perfect installation just as was explained to me in the start. They took the time to explain when I asked questions and cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

Terrible experience with this company. Misdiagnosed my furnace and told me it needed a new control board. After they couldn't find the part, I found my own and installed it. Furnace had exact same problem. When I called back and explained, they wanted to charge me another diagnosis fee. Wish there was a zero star rating. read more

I just got back to my home in Flagstaff after being away for two weeks. I had set my heat for 55° and came home to a 48° home and the thermostat was not working. I called Boyer and talked to Cheryl and asked about scheduling an overtime call. She asked me a few questions and recommended that I change the batteries in the thermostat before scheduling the expensive call. It worked! Not all businesses would've been that honest. She could easily have sent a serviceman out and I would've had a big bill just to change the batteries. I really, really appreciate her helpfulness and her honesty and, next time my heater needs to be serviced, I will definitely call Boyer. Thank you again Cheryl! read more

Was debating purchasing a combination new furnace and heat pump for my home. Toby spent so much time explaining the entire project, even after I missed two appointments with him, he was professional and engaging. Finally decided to buy a 95% energy efficient furnace only. Called Toby to tell him and he had the furnace ordered and installed within a week. The installers were as efficient as the new furnace. They estimated 5 - 6 hours to complete the installation and beat their estimate by at least an hour. If you want to be confident that you are going to be treated fairly and that your vendor will stand-by their sale and install, call Boyer. read more

One of the absolute WORST experiences ever. It took nearly 2 months to get a call-back from this company. In August, we finally heard from them. A (very nice) salesman from Boyer came to our log cabin and recommended an electric furnace - which by the way required an additional $1200.00 worth of work for a designated breaker. The salesman quoted our monthly electric bill to be about $200 in the winter. Since it is difficult for the propane trucks to access our road in the winter, we took his advice and went with electric. Again, he then disappeared for another month. Finally, we arranged for installation which was another month behind and occurred the day before thanksgiving. We called the salesman to make sure everything was installed properly as there did not seem to be a thermostat anywhere, and guess what? The salesman, a supervisor no less, quit Boyer. No one else would respond to our questions except to say that a wireless thermostat had been left on our back steps. What the heck??? The poor sweet gal who answers the phone there just keeps saying that "she is sorry" over and over again. But still, no call backs from anyone. We were not in the home for the following two months. February 1st, we received an APS bill of over $2500.00 for the prior months!!! Boyer had installed a defective system which tripped and nearly caused a fire in our home had a neighbor not shut everything down first. Worst of all?? Boyer takes NO RESPONSIBILITY for any of this whatsoever. They say its between us and the manufacturer. Boyer still believes they deserve to be paid in full. We hired INTERMOUNTAIN Mechanical to pull out their system and install a propane system. Even with air conditioning added, the entire bill was less than 1/2 of what Boyer was charging us. We could not be happier with this new found company. Many of their workers are former Boyer employees who seem genuinely happy to be working for InterMountain now. We will be going to court soon with Boyer. Watch out for them. read more
