What a DUD!!!
1. For two people for the dinner cruise, it cost me $130. When I went to get the boarding passes, I did not know I was going to have to pay additional money for taxes and gratuity. That was another $23. For a three hour cruise it cost each of us close to $88.
2. For the salad course, only one salad dressing was offered per table. The only thing to drink, was very hot tea.
3. There was about a hundred people in the dinning room with no AC. There was no over head fans, all windows were closed as well as the doors. Can someone say it was hot.
4. My whole aisle got the shaft. NINE times waitresses came by with full tea pitchers, but not once did they stop to refill glasses. One man a couple of tables down from mine asked for a refill. The waitress was heard saying I will get back to you. My sister kept an eye on his table, and he never got his refill. I waved a waitress down, caught her eye, pointed to my glass, only for her to nod her head. My sister got up, went behind the bar, got two glasses and filled them up with water for the two people at our table as well as our glasses with cold water. She then filled two other peoples glasses. The only water that was sitting at the bar the whole time. One of the male waiters refilled the water pitcher up and could not figure out why it was empty.
5. Portion sizes were all different. One of the ladies at our table ended up getting a child's portion.
6. Did I mention it was hot. During desert, the waitress was wiping her forehead, then went back to cutting the cakes.
7. The cakes were from Sam's Club. The waitress was using one knife to cut the three cakes. She would cut half a cake, wipe the knife on a rag, and then cut another cake.
8. Total health issues. The waitress did not use gloves, the rag was used to clean the bar down between cutting the cakes. She was wiping her forehead, then went right back to cutting the cakes. During dinner all the wait staff was using gloves, however during desert not one person used gloves. I saw two women put their hands on the cake as they were serving it.
9. At 8:00 the captain got on the speaker and said due to the rain in Houston, we needed to go back to the dock. By the time we got to the dock, it was 8:30. Our boat trip was only an hour and a half. Not only that, the whole time all we did was go in circles in the middle of the lake.
10. As we were getting closer and closer to the dock, the lights kept flickering, When we got off the boat dock, people asked for refunds. The manger said I will be right with you. I asked a man about a refund. He was very rude and said the manger has to take care of the half ton boat and will get to me as soon as she is done with the boat. My sister was able to talk to the manger and she waved her hands back and forth and said we can not control the weather.
The manger said everyone can stay on the boat and party on the top deck. As she said this all lights went out. Someone on the crew said that they should come back on.
As I am writing this review, it is 10:00. The wind is the same as it was at 6:15. No one in my party has heard thunder, or even have seen a streak of lightning.
The only good thing about the whole experience was the food and my sisters was good. The chicken she said was very flavorful, and my roast was very tender. However, in her dinner roll, she had a clump of flour that was hard. It looked like a wad of gum. read more
