In the center of the pier, there is an observation hole, where you can feed the fish and have them come to the surface. There is a little coin operated fish food dispenser, which provides for entertainment for kids and husbands alike! We did find that the fish didn't want to have anything to do with that creepy observation hole, but were abundant on the outsides of the pier itself, and gobbled up their snacks. The marina was well maintained, and had very little refuse around, and no graffiti or any of that type of stuff. Very relaxing. I did notice that there wasn't a whole lot of seating. There was only a bench or two, which happened to be occupied the entire time we were there, so there was no place for our elders to get off their feet. There were a few shops along the marina, but none of them were open. There was really no place for light treats and snacks. I noted one or two expensive sit-down restaurants. I believe this Marina is still developing, as they are building and selling new condos in the area. So hopefully, they get more eateries and things to do along their beautiful pier. I didn't know that Lake Conroe was so huge! It seems to go on forever and feels like you are looking out into the endless ocean, and not just a lake. There are boat and slip rentals available in the marina. I think if I lived here, I would probably visit often.

Working with James Winkler was awesome. He helped us in every aspect of getting the party set up and was always available to answer all of our questions. He even helped me when our DJ backed out 5 days before the party. I can not recommend them enough.

I think to ensure everything is in order before you leave. Thankfully the weather cooperated that day. When our group arrived, the young gentleman Tyler checked us in. He informed us on site that while we were able to pre pay for the boat rental, we have to pay insurance and gas after we come back from the boat. He walked us through some general tips of the boat and said to call the office if we have any issues. He said he would help us dock when we got back. You must wear the life vest when near the dock area. We had fun, I think it was a 12 passenger boat. Luckily one of our group members was able to take the brief course to be able to drive the boat. He had no experience previously, but did a great job! We had a pretty good time, we added the lily pad and the tubing to our rental as well, which we used and recommend. The boat itself was new which was nice. It had space under the seats for our items. We were able to bring coolers and our own food on board. Overall it was a fun experience. Shout out to a great friend for setting this up!

Everyone on the boat just needs to sign waivers and the persons driving the boat need to watch a couple of boat safety and instructional videos. Lake Conroe is quite a drive from Houston, but getting here and finding the spot was easy. It's just a dirt lot with a shack of an office and a porta potty. Nothing fancy but nothing wrong with that. We showed up 30 minutes before our reservation as requested. Tyler was in charge of our party and he was super friendly and very helpful with getting on board and out on time. Everyone is required to wear a life vest until you hit open water. We rented the 12 passenger pontoon boat which was in very good condition. Our package also included a large lily pad and tube. There's lots of storage under seats which I highly recommend using. We may have overpacked which meant less room to walk around freely. My friend and I shared captaining duties. Driving was a little intimidating at first, but once we got a feel for the power of the motor it was smooth sailing. The map provided to us came in really handy as Lake Conroe is pretty big, bigger than I expected. We made our way to The Island which was a hangout spot for alot of boats and jet skis. We anchored, put out our lily pad and tube and enjoyed the water. The boat does have Bluetooth speakers, but it will run the battery. I would suggest bringing a portable speaker. Time flies when you're having fun, but we made sure we had enough time to drive back while taking turns using the tube. It made for a fun ride back! Overall, a time was had. Never once did I ever think to myself about owning a property on a lake with a boat until now. Thanks to Perfection Water Sports for giving me new goals in life lol. I would totally rent from here again and soon I hope!

When going onto the site to get pricing, it was super easy to navigate by picking your day, time, boat (based on #of ppl), and amount of hours you'd like to be on the water. We were planning in advance for Memorial weekend, since it gets busy quickly, and we decided this was the company we wanted to go with. As we got closer to the date, we had some changes in partipants and dates, and Chris, the Owner was so gracious in helping us update our reservation for date and size of boat. He was so helpful and super nice to talk to, he just felt like a friend from day one. I spoke with him a few times, and he was always available and quick to respond. As the day closely arrived, Amanda called to ensure we had everything we needed, confirmed that all paperwork had been filled out, and was super friendly to talk to as well. Day of, Kyle assisted us, and was so awesome. He did a pre-check of the boat with our Cap-i-Tans, and gave them a quick run down of the boat, where there were some places we could go, and even helped us load up the boat and take our drinks boxes as we filled coolers, to the trash. He is also a phenomenal photographer!!! The customer service stood out so much with this company. Our whole crew couldn't stop raving about the day and how much fun we had, the amount of space that as on the boat, the storage for all our extra stuff, and the ease of loading/unloading, getting our float aired up, and connecting music for bluetooth. We will definitely be keeping AZTX at the top of the list!

First off, scheduling and making changes was a breeze thanks to owner Chris. We also had questions and passenger changes and Chris was very friendly and did his best to help us get what we needed. Getting here was easy and the dock is connected to a huge shopping complex so parking was a breeze and in a safe lot. Once we arrived early, Kyle came and introduced himself to us and asked the captains to do a brief boat overview with him. My friend and I both volunteered for captaining duties and we felt comfortable after Kyle's safety talk. We were early but they allowed us to start loading up and getting situated. Once we were loaded up, Kyle gave us a little push off and off we went to open water. The boat was spacious with plenty of seating for our capacity crew. It had plenty of storage so we had plenty of room to walk about the boat. They gave us a map and great recommendations on where to go and anchor. The boat rode smooth and was very user friendly. We linked up to the Bluetooth on board and had great tunes for our entire trip. Once we found our desired hang out spot, we anchored and set up our blow up inflatable ring and hammock that was an add on the price. Worth it if you ask me as we all got in the water and hung out in and around that the entire time. When it was about 30 minutes to return time, we started heading back. The lake is huge so be considerate and give yourself plenty of time to travel. Overall, our second annual boat trip was a big success and a good time was had by all. I would most definitely use this company again in the future!

I also appreciate that there are lots of lifeguards on duty, which makes it feel safe for families with kids. The biggest downside is that it gets crowded very quickly, especially on weekends and holidays. While there is a good amount of shade, there still isn't enough for everyone once the crowds arrive, and you'll definitely run into a few "shade hoggers" who claim large areas early in the day. If having a shaded spot is important to you, plan to arrive early. Overall, it's a great value and a fun place for families--I just wish there was a little more room to spread out during peak times.

Why 5 stars? Because it's super convenient and *almost* free…read more --- --- --- We've known about this place for a while but we finally had the opportunity to take our son. Tickets are only $10, and that alone, is worth the 5-star review. For less than the price of a couple coffee's or cartons of eggs, you are able to have some really cool interactions with animals. If you want to experience anything else like this, you'll have to drive an hour to the Houston Zoo, pay a lot more money for tickets, deal with crowds/parking/etc. The Learning Zoo is obviously not trying to compare itself to the Houston Zoo, but where else are you going to get to play with goats, pigs, birds, a pony, tortoises and snakes? The location is really hidden behind 1488. You drive through a residential street, and then all the way at the back, you make a couple of turns, and suddenly you're at The Learning Zoo. When you walk in, you are offered some lettuce and carrots for the animals for an additional $10, which is definitely worth it. Plus, they have some animals inside the lobby area - snakes, hedgehogs, other reptiles, etc. Then you head outside to the main part of the experience. You can walk amongst the tortoises, get "attacked" by all of the birds in their sanctuary, join the goats and pigs in their pen, and they even brought out a 14 foot snake for people to hold and take pictures with. Everyone here was incredibly nice, too. We were only there for about 45 minutes, but for $40, it was worth every penny.

We relaxed in a quiet cove, swam, stopped at some great lakeside restaurants for food and drinks, and ended the day with a beautiful sunset cruise. Gary did an amazing job with our group! Yolo Lake Conroe is the place to go for a boat! We were a group of 10 and had the time of our life!!! 10 drunks isn't easy to take care of and Gary made sure we were safe the whole time! Gary taught two in our group how to wakeboard and had tons of patience with them especially with it being their first time! 10 out of 10 experience for sure! We highly recommend using Gary. He called to discuss my goals right after booking. Our goal was to learn how to wake surf. I took my wife and stepdaughter last summer with a different captain to learn how to wakeboard. It wasn't from a lack of trying, but it was unsuccessful. Gary's coaching made the difference.
