The walking paths have recently been upgraded to asphalt rather than packed clay, and there are a couple of hiking trails through the forested areas to enjoy as well. Closes around dusk and the constables do pass through and nudge folks out before closing. Locking gates were also recently added. My dog enjoys our walks here especially when she sniffs out the occasional deer or rabbit that live along Cypress Creek. If you do the whole loops the walking path is about 2.5 miles.

FYI: the trail is paved and stroller accessible. On the way back, we took another trail which was dirt and had no issue taking the stroller on that as well. Nice playground for kids. I initially thought they were closed because the gate had the lock still on it (in a locked position) but luckily, someone advised me that they were actually open. So, don't go by appearances and actually tug on the door! There are two relatively small parking lots that fill up quickly but there is also street parking available.

The Pavilion is a covered area with numerous picnic tables if you're looking to set up for a nice meal or a gathering. There's also a playground area nearby along with the lake where you can go fishing or walk around. Did I mention the size of this park and how much ground it covers!? That's one of the best features is the exploring you can do on the trails. Hands down one of my favorite parks in Harris County!

The playground areas are especially great for families because there are several scattered throughout the park, so it never feels overly crowded. It's a great spot for a weekend walk, letting the kids burn off some energy, or just getting some fresh air. The park is generally well maintained and there's plenty of room to spread out. But overall, it's definitely one of the better parks in the area and worth the visit.

They offer free WiFi that does not work. They charge a very high electric rate compared to all other RV sites (this they use to hide higher mtly, wkly and daily rents). Many sites flood during medium storms. Power is out multiple times of year even in small storms. The pool is at best OK some of the time. Customer service as of late is very low. Theft and lower caliper tenants that steel, use drugs, drink heavily are filling this place. TIME TO FIND A MORE RESPECTABLE PLACE TO STAY

We went on the 4 hour Catfish and Crappie excursion (and my freezer is FULL!). Justin was informative, friendly and VERY attentive to our needs. We live in Walden and this was the first time out on the lake...a VERY good way to start. There were 6 of us who comfortably sat, stood and fished. He has a fish radar to assist with knowing and learn how to feel how deep your line is. Our daughter, who has tried but never successfully caught a fish, caught many and was thrilled!!!! We'll be back and certainly will refer. So grateful they are in our neighborhood.
