Screen broke and the hardware reboot didn't work. Took phone to an Apple authorized dealer (Black Apple isn't) and they software rebooted in 20 minutes and said there was no reason to even consider opening the phone. They told me never to go to Black Apple, they don't know what they're doing and I guess my experience confirms that. Now I have a phone I'm still paying on that has a broken screen that'll cost me $400 to replace. Tried to reach Black Apple by email several times to see if they'd step up and help with the screen and they've never responded. So they don't know what they're doing and care nothing about customer service. Unless you're willing to risk your phone, do not use Black Apple.

Nowhere on the receipt does it stipulate anything of the kind. I asked to speak to a manager and they refused to give me to them. I spent fifteen minutes on the phone trying to resolve this issue, intimating I was not going to spend $300 to get back to their country just to return a $45 item, and they should stand by their products and sales and honor their warranty within reason. I had the receipt and it is well within 14 days of purchase. I purchased the product at what I thought was a professional business, and had it installed by them to find the installation and product they sold both failed, and instead of apologizing, they are completely ripping me off with nothing outside of a bad review to resolve the issue. (Which it doesn't.) I'd just like to join those voicing that this location of Telus is absolutely unreputable. Save your money. Shop elsewhere.

I originally went to London Drugs, who said I needed a new SIM card but they couldn't activate it; so I called "The Mobile Shop" to ask if they could sell me a new SIM card and activate it. When I got there he was helping 2 other people and I thought I'd have to wait a bit, but he chimed right in and asked me for my old SIM card (from Nexus 4) which was too big for the iPhone card, so he simply trimmed it down and put it in the iPhone. Wow! I was so impressed that this excellent rep took care of me in 30 seconds flat, while not missing a beat with the other 2 customers. It was a free service too! My Toshiba laptop pulled a 'slow one' on me. After a reboot, Windows 8.1 failed to start. After…read morehours of looking for solutions on the 'net (not enough drive space to Refresh), I took it into Tesseract and Gary diagnosed the problem immediately as a failing hard drive and suggested installing my laptop's hard drive in an external case and transferring all of my folders to another computer while the drive was still (somewhat) working, thereby saving a number of files that I hadn't backed up yet. Gary removed the drive from my laptop, installed it in a new external case, tested it and all was good. Saved everything! Thanks a million Gary! Cost? $25 + tax. While in the store I overheard Gary detailing the features of a refurbished Lenovo laptop that came with Windows 10 Pro, 8GB RAM and other features all at a great price (it compared more than favorably with other units offered by computer sellers in Victoria). I bought one. Comes with a 1 year warranty. It's been 3 weeks and I'm very pleased with this machine (Lenovo T540P). I chose Tesseract because I've been impressed with Gary's contributions to Tech Talk on CFAX radio in addition to recommendations from a friend who has had good experiences with this company.
