Took my iPhone out of the rice and it turned on, the front cover case was a bit cracked and peeling, all apps working - but - it would not charge. Took it Digital Rabbit - and they took it apart, checked it, put it back together and voila - with a new face cover - my iPhone was good! Culprit - a piece of rice had lodged into the lightening port. The team was terrific - knowledgeable, friendly, fun and, efficient and effective, fair price - 5 stars for sure! And FYI, they advised the bag of rice thing is myth - its really about turning the device OFF, drying the device well, and leaving it ALONE (Do NOT turn it on) for 48 - 72 hours. Took phone to an Apple authorized dealer (Black Apple isn't) and they software rebooted in 20 minutes and said there was no reason to even consider opening the phone. They told me never to go to Black Apple, they don't know what they're doing and I guess my experience confirms that. Now I have a phone I'm still paying on that has a broken screen that'll cost me $400 to replace. Tried to reach Black Apple by email several times to see if they'd step up and help with the screen and they've never responded. So they don't know what they're doing and care nothing about customer service. Unless you're willing to risk your phone, do not use Black Apple.

My iPhone was currently not holding a charge, dying on me on the regular and when I actually checked in Settings, the iPhone message stated that I needed to get a new battery. So it was time to head to EFix, glad to have this new business close by rather then heading into Silverdale or Poulsbo! Mike took my call ordered a new battery that took less than a day to receive. Once I came in, he was able to swap my battery out in half an hour. I also had another issue with my lens and he identified the problem instantly and was able to clean and re-glue my lens that was loose on my old iphone. As you know, our phones are so important and his great customer service as well as such fast service was well appreciated. Wish I had read these reviews before I took my Apple Watch Series 4 there(Colwood Store)…read more I needed a new battery and took it in. The guy told me that there could be screen damage. I still needed the battery so I accepted the condition. He called me later that day and said it was ready, so I went and got it. I was relieved that the screen was fine. He said there was a 30 day guarantee. When I got home I realized that the pairing was not working. So I Unpaired, shut down my phone then powered back up and tried to Re-Pair it. It seemed to work, but the next day I noticed that the functionality I was used to was not there. I could not ping my phone, my incoming phone calls did not go to my watch ... and many others. I admit I was not able to take it back right away and then when I did have time I procrastinated ... it was partially working and I knew when the 30 days were up. I did eventually take it back. He kept it for 3 days and then phoned to tell me that there was water damage and there was nothing he could do. He wanted to take the new battery out and refund my money for the battery only, but still charge me for his time. So he was not out a nickel and I was out a $400 watch, which would cost me $700 to replace new. He kept implying that the water damage happened after it left the store, but the watch didn't work properly from the moment I got home and tried it out. After a 3 lengthy phone calls, (I hung up on him twice - I was so angry) it was left with no resolution. To his credit he did call me back twice and said he wanted his customers to be happy. Overnight I decided that I would ask him if he could at least find me a replacement and I was determined not to get angry but to be firm. When I got there, he had come to the same conclusion and offered me an older replacement (series 3 - ugly black case, mine was the nice rose-gold colour). So he gets the second star for effort, but ultimately I paid him $125 plus tax for a downgrade. How do I know he didn't lie about the water damage? It is supposed to be water resistant, my daughter swims with hers on and it's fine. So he trades me an old watch for my newer one and I pay him for it? I did get the impression that he was trying to make good, but still - I can't know for sure if he's just a huckster.
