There were three pieces of chicken with yams, greens and cornbread.

We had issues with their system for picking up food from the new Norco location. But since they were just getting started there we gave it another try. Process is much better now and food is still great with generous portions. Chicken was overcooked but still good!

This is formerly Messi Soul Kitchen! I ordered the Pot Roast with rice, greens and yams. My food was delicious. I will say that it wasn't hot though. The new location is to go food only. They still give you a nice amount of food and the price has gone up a bit, but for me, I can eat off of it a few times so it's ok for me. The service was great and I'm glad they are now closer to me.

My girlfriend and I have always been a fan of Nigerian food and have recently been exploring…read morevarious restaurants throughout Socal that serve Nigerian cuisine. I have to say that Saaraloge's Kitchen is now at, or near, the top of this list! We luckily stumbled through Saaraloge's Kitchen just from looking up Nigerian restaurants in the IE on google. There aren't too many of them in general so we were happy to find one here in Riverside! It's worth noting that Saaraloge's Kitchen is a virtual kitchen. You call their phone number (951-347-5726) and place your order. They pick up immediately and, after the call, they text you the order and payment information, where you will be over the phone and your order will be ready an hour after payment. I attached the menu as a photo, since it's a bit difficult to find. We ordered two dishes, each for $30 which includes fufu as well. On the menu, it will say "swallow" which is Nigerian fufu, an almost mochi-like starch that is used to eat the dish. We ordered the chicken egusi w fufu and black pepper soup with beef w fufu. At first, I thought that $30 each was a bit expensive, but when you see how large the portion sizes are as well as how big the fufu is, you'll understand! We always order egusi and this dish definitely lived up to our high standards. Fufu was a little different than what I'm used to but I still loved the taste, I felt that it was very sturdy and a good base for the egusi. The black pepper soup was very flavorful as well but, in my honest opinion, the egusi is my favorite. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

You can phone in and place your order; I asked for the egusi with chicken stew and cassava fufu, which seems to be popular with recurring clientele. After placing the order, you can zelle and it will be about an hour wait since the food is cooked fresh. The person who handed me my order was very sweet! The food itself came piping hot, and although the $30 price tag is a little dismaying, the portions they give you are definitely worth it! The egusi soup was very flavorful and sort of had the consistency similar to scrambled eggs and the two drumsticks I received were cooked beautifully tender. It's a little oily, but mixing with the warm egusi was really good! On the other hand, the fufu (it's listed as swallow) was soft and moldable just like I see on other review videos. There's not much of a taste to it when eaten by itself except for a slight citrus lemony taste that sort of threw me off. I cannot say I was a fan of that but obviously, it was meant to be paired with the stew, which turned out to be the best part of the meal. I know that typically it's not meant to be chewed, so it took a few bites of chewing. However, I WILL say that swallowing the fufu with the stew actually tastes much better (probably why it's called swallow LOL). Try taking the fufu in small increments and swallow with the stew is the tip! Overall, we were first hesitant trying Nigerian food but this place changed it! Will be ordering again when we're craving it
