We called the restaurant to let them know. They offered to make it for us and we went to pick it up since it would be faster, wasn't far from the hotel and we wanted to eat together as a family. The restaurant was very apologetic for the error and even threw in an extra fish and extra bacon bits on the poutine. That was so nice of them to do that. We ordered: 1. seafood platter with haddock, scallops, shrimp, tarter sauce and onion rings 2. Calamari strip dinner 3. Mozzarella sticks 4. Jalapeño shrimp with jalapeño dip 5. Pollock with a side of poutine Everything was delicious we forgot to take pictures until after we started eating several of the dishes so there are only a few pics. The batter is light and flakey, not too oily and the fish is a good size. The jalapeño shrimp is really good especially with the jalapeño dip. It's only mildly spicy so even if you can't take much spice it would still be ok. Scallops and shrimp are a good size in the seafood platter. Everything came nicely wrapped and labeled. Would definitely order from them again!

Portions are generous and the coleslaw and fries are amazing and complete the fish so well. I can eat just a plateful of their fries. Service is great, all the servers are so incredibly nice and friendly. It is always packed at lunch & dinner. Def a local favourite because everyone there knows each other. We tried the haddock, halibut and breaded shrimp! I wish I could have shared more photos, but when the plates are brought to the table I can't resist digging in right away! The menu options are great where you can get 3 pieces of haddock or halibut with 2 orders of fries. Lots of parking and plenty of seating inside. Takeout orders are 5% off. The menu is great with so many options! We first tried Joy's 6 weeks ago - we have been back almost every week since our first visit. When it's time to pay they give you a scratch card with your receipt - everyone is a winner. To redeem the card, spend $35 on your next visit for the free item. Some of the items you can scratch and win are , haddock & fries, halibut & fries, Joys feast special, large plate of fries. I'm sure there are more as these are just the items we have won. Options for fish and chips are very limited in Markham, so I love the option of visiting Stouffville nearby for Joy's Fish & Chips. Until next time...

The kids wanted fish so we googled and found this place in town. We had ordered the beef burger (which came still with the bun steaming) , the halibut meal which they have special on Sundays and Mondays, we got the fish tacos (now if you're like me, I tent to add a lot of coleslaw and hot sauce yum), we got the salmon which have been coated with herb and garlic and cooked just right. The fishes were cooked to perfection, not over bearing with the batter. Fries are freshly cut, the waiters and waitress were very attentive for a large group like ours. The place is nice, clean and sauces are stocked and available on your table. Highly recommend this place.

One item was totally missing, only part of of another item I ordered, and the INCLUDED condiments/sides, were missing. I called the location and was answered by girl #1 who listened to what I had to say but had nothing to say and sounded totally confused and clueless. She and then just, out of the blue, handed the phone to girl #2 who I repeated the issues to including that I ordered through DoorDash. She responded back with an absolutely nasty and rude attitude. NO customer services skills at all! Here is a summary of her response to me... - For the missing medium coleslaw, she tells me to contact SkipTheDishes. (Seriously? Why them? I ordered through DoorDash!) - As for the Battered Mushrooms (10 decent size ones shown in the menu's picture), the description SAYS it comes with sour cream. I got 7 tiny ones and absolutely NO sour cream. When I ask about the sour cream I get told "It doesn't cost you anything so what do you want?" - And finally, for the 3 piece Pollock with fries and tarter sauce as stated in the menu description, again, no side of tarter sauce. I'm guessing I didn't get it because, "It doesn't cost you (meaning me) anything". I have very few issues with this location before, maybe one or two small ones. Always handled nicely and I was treated with respect. I'm guessing the guy I knew that worked there has moved on because he would have never allowed this. If this is the how customers are treated now and this is an example of the type of employees that are employed there, I am more than happy to change over to Union Jack Fish and Chips or to Joey's Seafood Restaurants. Never had a problem at either of them and always treated the way a customer should be treated. #badcustomerservice #rudepeople‍⁉ Disappointing food

We walked in after lunch time on a weekday. We took a few minutes to decide what we wanted and ordered at the counter. We then walked to the dining area and waited for our food. There was only one other table with a few people eating. It was not busy at all. The food started arriving shortly. My son ordered a cheeseburger. It was fine, nothing special. I ordered the 2 piece Cod Fish and Chips (sub onion rings), and my sister ordered the Clamp Strips and Fries. We decided to share our meals. The fish had an overwhelming fish flavor and the batter had no flavor. It was definitely not was I was expecting. The clam strips were very tiny and a very small portion. The onion rights were not freshly made, if they were I couldn't tell. Nothing special at all. The best part was the fried pineapple rings. I would order those again in a heartbeat. Service was fine, nothing spectacular, but not bad either. It was an OK meal, nothing I would go out of my way to get. I also think the prices are high since the quality of the food is not the best.
