While you sit in the chair getting your teeth whitened, they give you these yellow tinted plastic glasses that supposedly protect your eyes. I was doubtful because they look like they came out of a cereal box. When you're done with the procedure, you take the glasses off and your teeth look pretty white. A glass of lemonade would look white at that point too - after spending about an hour seeing everything tinted yellow. When my eyes had adjusted and I got home I realized my teeth hadn't whitened at all. Tricky! They also are very pushy to get you to buy another session at a discount. The discount only applies if you pay on the spot, and they really press you. I paid in the office for a second session that I didn't even bother going back for because it's truly a waste of time for minimal results. They sometimes offer a discount for positive Yelp reviews, so keep in mind that a lot of these 5 stars are from people who are getting some money back and haven't had enough time to realize their teeth are same as always. As a final insult, my teeth were incredibly, painfully sensitive for the rest of the day.

I have been seeing Dr. Wachs for invisalign treatment this past year. I had braces as a kid, didn't…read morewear my retainer (oops!) and ended up with crooked teeth once again! Invisalign is a great alternative to braces. Most people don't even know I have them on! Some patients will have little buttons placed on some teeth called attachments if the treatment calls for it. They are small and color matched to your teeth making them barely noticeable. I was scared they would be too obvious but they are really not bad at all! You take out the retainers to eat and drink and then put them in when you are done! It has been much easier to brush and floss with invisalign as compared to braces. I am very happy with my choice to go with Dr. Wachs as my invisalign provider. She is wonderful and one of the sweetest, most accomodating doctors I've ever met! She is very attentive to detail and has helped me to get the perfect smile I've always wanted! She is always available by text or phone and is so flexible with her appointments. I can't tell you how many times I have needed to change appointments and it is never an issue. Dr. Wach's office is at the Cactus salon in plainview and it nothing like a traditional dentist office- it is more like a spa!
