I pointed out that I hadn't signed the document that I had been asked to sign. Another worker reached for the document, and I walked out of the building. LOLLLL Man, what a joke. Yet another case where the laughable front desk workers ruin things for the actual professionals.

When I called today asking why am I hit with a $146 bill for my cleaning, their response to me was that it's my job to challenge my insurance. My husband and kids are all under my plan. They use different dentists and never had this issue. I don't want to go back to them. It takes more time to resolve the bills than the dental visits itself. I'm done with them.

Dr. Shah is someone who is warm, kind and understanding which makes going to the dentist less stressful. I am taken on time, so punctually that I do not have time to check out either of the two large and modern lavatories. Later, Nadia, Stephanie or Victoria will take care of the insurance forms. If a cleaning is in order, Amy will remove those stains from coffee and tea and make my breath kissing sweet. I am escorted to the dental chair by Monica or Jasmine, who will be responsible for handing Dr. Eugene Goldman a probe, a burnisher, a scaler, a spoon excavator, and other tools. Monica asks what TV channel I would like while the procedure is on. I am a tax-and-spend liberal so request CNN or MSNBC. If the former president is lying, I cup my ears and examine my x-ray. I forego the anesthetic because for some reason Dr. Goldman is able to drill without causing pain--at least to me. You may be different. If he opines that I need a root canal, he will refer me to an endodontist. If an implant, off to the periodontist. I have had experiences with both. In my next life I will take better care. I am done! A day of excitement passes but, ironically and thankfully, the procedure is without drama. Dr. Goldman makes me smile, which is what dentists nowadays are pledged to enhance, because in America, every day is a smiling day. I make him laugh. Why is that important? She was my dentist at another office but left at some point during the early part of the pandemic, and I found her online and followed her to Tribeca Dental Design. I have not-so-perfect teeth and Dr. Z doesn't push to get work done and doesn't make me feel bad about the crooked teeth as well. She's also kind during procedures and asking whether I'm okay or need a break, all of which I appreciate. I've also had a great experience with the front desk staff and other assistants, and I'm sure the other doctors here are wonderful too. The lobby area is pretty spacious and it's a prime area literally steps from the 2/3 train.

Tribeca Dental Design outlined positive reviews and making an appointment a month or so ago was headache free. My appointment was yesterday and the staff was cordial upon my arrival. There was paperwork, more than I expected or experienced but it was fine. Minutes later, I was called to the room for full set of xrays--bite wing and a panoramic view (sophisticated xray equipment with images taken while standing up). Took all of 2 minutes. My observation regarding space/rooms was mixed. There were several rooms but they weren't proper rooms with walls and a door. Their rooms were more open and easy to hear conversations and drilling separated by low partitions. My hygienist was unavailable so my new dentist was both hygienist and dental professional. She did an excellent cleaning job and checked in with me along the way to ensure I was doing okay. I felt she was knowledgeable and made recommendations without being pushy. Only thing is that I expected the oral cancer screening to be more thorough. In the past, I've had dentists who checked all around my tongue and underside while examining my neck area. Not this time to my dismay. Overall, my opinion was favorable and I would recommend this practice. Satisfied.
