Not crazy about the service I received with her. I came here with a Groupon but instead of 60-minute teeth whitening, that I purchased, I only received 40min treatment time. I was disappointed for that reason. As one other person said here the results were barely noticeable and I think I would've achieved great results if we went the full treatment time. On the other hand I disagree with the other post here saying that it was too painful. It can be uncomfortable. People should know to expect that. Also, my visit was in a nice spa/salon where she rents her room not in the basement of some salon as the other person said. I just signed up for a Yelp account after seeing ModernSmile posting their Teeth Whitening special on Groupon. If I can stop only 1 person from using this woman I will consider it a success. With that said, I had this teeth whitening procedure about 2.5 years ago when it first popped up on Groupon. The person's name is Barbara and she is a Dentist that is doing the procedure in the basement of some Spa. I suppose she pays the owner of the place for some space. I should have realized that any reputable Dentist would have their own office and treat patients for other things. The procedure was quit long and I was in constant pain throughout the whole process. Maybe this isn't the case for everyone, but my teeth were extremely sensitive to the laser light. Afterwards I was telling her that I was in a considerable amount of pain and the only thing she was interested in was selling me aftercare products. Like seriously?...I'm in pain and you're still trying to sell me more stuff??? The sensitivity lasted for about 3 weeks and luckily my teeth were back to normal. I bet you're wondering by now why I haven't discussed the actual whitening and how it worked. That's because the whitening was barely noticeable. It was a waste of $149 and 30-60mins of my time. If anyone or Yelp wants proof of my purchase, I'd be happy to submit a copy of my purchased Groupon as validation. read more

My experience was exactly as I expected. The dentist was professional and talked me though the process step by step. When I booked the appointment, I was told that I may experience sensitivity during or after the treatment and was told to use Sensodine toothpaste one week prior to the service. The treatment itself was in a relaxed, spa-life atmosphere. I was able to listen to music while reading the paper on my phone during the procedure. I started to experience sensitivity towards the end of the treatment, and the dentist adjusted the treatment accordingly. I am thrilled with the results! I have been seeing Dr. Wachs for invisalign treatment this past year. I had braces as a kid, didn't wear my retainer (oops!) and ended up with crooked teeth once again! Invisalign is a great alternative to braces. Most people don't even know I have them on! Some patients will have little buttons placed on some teeth called attachments if the treatment calls for it. They are small and color matched to your teeth making them barely noticeable. I was scared they would be too obvious but they are really not bad at all! You take out the retainers to eat and drink and then put them in when you are done! It has been much easier to brush and floss with invisalign as compared to braces. I am very happy with my choice to go with Dr. Wachs as my invisalign provider. She is wonderful and one of the sweetest, most accomodating doctors I've ever met! She is very attentive to detail and has helped me to get the perfect smile I've always wanted! She is always available by text or phone and is so flexible with her appointments. I can't tell you how many times I have needed to change appointments and it is never an issue. Dr. Wach's office is at the Cactus salon in plainview and it nothing like a traditional dentist office- it is more like a spa! Having experienced braces at a traditional orthodontist's office and now invisalign with Dr. Wachs, I am so glad I chose this route.
