He was so patient and so kind, giving me different samples that would fit my needs and wishes. This business currently operates by appointment only due to COVID and I could clearly see that they observed proper protocol so I always felt safe. Paul was super flexible and always accommodating, even with last minute changes. After a long discussion and different quotes, I selected the Marvin windows. Couple weeks later, the windows came and Paul's technicians came to my house to install them, a process that took couple days. At all times, the technicians were polite, hardworking, and efficient. Ordered a sliding screen door for our house. Installation was scheduled for 4 weeks later. Called me the day before to tell me screen wasn't in and would have to reschedule. They put me at the end of the line in another 4 weeks! When the sliding door was installed and "ready", it would not close from inside. Installer worked on it and then it was almost impossible to latch from the outside. Installed said it was the design and the best he could do. After he left, I spent an hour repositioning the guide tracks until if worked properly. I paid $250 for the installation cost. What an insult! read more

I was recommended the skylight place by my contractor who uses them. When I walked in, a gentleman who usually works the warehouse jumped right in to help me as the saleswoman Nancy was on the phone. That was my first impression of this business where I was about to spend nearly $2000. Spot on customer service, did his best to show me products and answer questions until Nancy was available! I was lucky enough to take home two skylights because they actually had stock on hand!!! So thrilled! Now today I've decided to add another skylight and guess what? I called ahead of time, they have it in stock and it'll be all written up and waiting for me to load it in my car! No waiting like at a box store for two weeks to arrive! I recently had two skylights replaced by The Skylight Place and I was very happy with their professionalism and concern for my happiness with the installation. The day after they were installed, it started to rain, and, after a torrential downpour a few days later, one skylight had a very small leak. I called Paul at TSP, and he had his technician out to look at the lead once it stopped raining. He reseated the skylight and I've had zero problems. Even after much heavier rains over the past week. For years my shower doors were a problem, finally shedding bits of metal and not budging any more. Several businesses I called advised that I'd need to have all 3 glass panels plus the metal frame removed, buy a new "kit" (over $1200) and have it all installed. I needed to replace a broken glass on a double glass mirror. Paul quickly responded to my repair request and within minutes of corresponding he assessed how he could repair. We needed to replace 3 sliding glass doors due to storm damage from the severe February weather. These guys were thorough and professional. The Milgard doors are beautiful. The screens slide so smoothly that the dogs and cats have figured out how to open them- one swiped paw and they are free! We have used skylight place twice in the last four years to replace many of the windows in our old house and both times we have been very pleased. Both installations were Milgard Essence wood and fiberglass customized to match the original windows. The first time we got the natural wood and the second time the primed white windows. We were completely pleased at every level, from Paul helping us with the order to the installations done by Dave and Robert. In the first installation we discovered long term water damage that required structural and cosmetic repairs to a wall and our 1929 coved ceilings. Dave did a fantastic job and the room and windows look beautiful. It was very important to us that the new windows match the style of our house and on both occasions they did high caliber work that adds to the beauty of the house. An installer from Skylight Place was in the neighborhood and came by to look at our windows for installs. We got no word back and when we called, we were told by several people that our windows were rotten and they would not give a bid unless I hired a contractor, they offered a name of a contractor, to redo all the windows. We called them to clarify that the windows were not rotten and that there was a mistake. They got angry and insisted that my windows were rotten. Since then, we had some other bids and not one said anything about the condition of the windows. Over many years, we have gone to their store rarely and did not like the way we were treated. I have used the Skylight Place twice in the past four months- one for a large window replacement and the other for a screen door installation. Both experiences were excellent. The installers were knowledgeable, on time and did and excellent job. The screen door installer, Robert, even took our existing sliding glass doors out of the frame, cleaned the channels, adjusted the wheels for an easier "slide" and moved the locking mechanism at no charge. I had Milgard windows installed in my entire house thru the Skylight Place. A panel in my French door failed so I called Milgard . They sent me back to the Skylight Place, who sent me back to Milgard. I was sent back and forth at least 8 times. The Skylight Place had given me a warranty certificate, which I assumed was for the windows. Turns out it was only for hardware. Three days after I paid Skylight Place to install new glass, the door handle fell off. But they offered no help, instead telling me to call Milgard. I don't think they have any idea what customer service is. Milgard warranty is worthless. read more

We just had the glass in 49 wooden windows replaced by The Skylight Place. Wow! Our windows have never looked so good, not even when they were brand new. Our windows are custom cedar so they needed special knowledge and attention to detail. Sushil knew all this and more, pointing out things I did not know. We have had chronic problems with the windows but because of the way Skylight Place installed them I am confident the problem is resolved. And they did a fantastically clean job. Every speck of glue and smudges were gone when they finished cleaning them. Our home looks brand new and sparkling again. Very disappointed, they installed my custom glass shower doors and every day I'm reminded of how much I do not like them. They've been out 3 times (they did all the measuring) to fix the door not operating properly and they also did a horrible job with that they call caulking/sealing, it looks like a child performed the work. I think a $5.00 shower curtain would look better than the $1,800.00 that I spent. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. read more
