Today is not the day to be selfish and as a true yelper, I have my compelled desire to write reviews and tell the world things I see hear experience! Body hair isnt my thing and I get them nuked the first chance I get, and its kind of job requirement for me being nightwalker at weho on weekends. (just kidding bitches!). Jen Gaffi at Total Body Care has been my goto wax person in OC, and even now she is one of the best people in OC however, its so hard to get an appointment with her. I am soo happy for her, however, I wanted to find someone that I can get an easy appointments without having to wait for weeks, and heard about Monica through a really good friend of mine. So for I been to this place twice, and getting an appointment is such a breeze, i call them on the phone(no frills of web and stuff, and they believe in old style phone system which is cool!). You will get Jesse most time who works the front and both times i have gotten next day appointment. yay to that! Now Monica's details to work is something to admire, and come back for! She takes her time, spends every second and minute of it to make sure she get the job done right. She is such a perfectionist, with no rushing you through the schedule. Meticulous is the word i would describe. I walked out liking my skin even more, and it was all done with out much pain. She is very patient, and takes her time to get to know what is it you want, and works her magic. I have done both my eye brows, and waxed my arms and legs. I have liked the work!!! she may be one fo the best people to do eye brows. she spent close to 20minutes to make sure to shape the eye brows perfect. without making it look any weird. the prices are very reasonable. The place itself is not anything like a spa. Its very clean looking space that looks white all over the walls and ceilings and such. Kind of reminds me of a clean dentist office. However she has this mood music playing with buddha and such . so its not that scary. The place is in huntington beach which is out of the way for me, however, I dont mind taking hike up to go there, for one, I get my appointments faster, and two - the work is perfect!!!! I think I found another gem of a wax person in OC. and if you are looking for someone to try - be sure to call Monica a call. I am sure you will like her work!!!!!!

She's so passionate in her job and knowledgeable and kind and I have to say my brazillian wax was done so fast by her, only less than 15 mins don't ask me I still don't know why haha! During the wax, she will walk you throughout each step she's gonna do on your little girl, what kinds of products she's putting on it and so on. The stripping off was a littleeeee tingling but it went away really fast so you don't have to worry! She also took a really good care of my husband brazilian! I asked her if she could count to 3 before she stripped the wax off but she said if she did that, he would know when the pull occured and he would likely freeze himself and that would make it even more painful to the body, then she explained how our body and mind connected and how they responsed to the pain and everything like that. Which was so informative and relaxing for us to know. After the service, she instructed us on how to take care of the area post wax, she also asked us to please text her if our skin experienced any problem post wax too! Highly recommend!

I first went to Lisa before she moved to this location…read more After finding and trying many places through Groupon in the LA and OC areas, I found Lisa and thought she was fantastic. I've done many extractions and by far Lisa was the most gentle este I've ever been with. I've even gotten my lashes done with her. Although the location she's at is a little confusing the first time to you go, I thought it was worth it. Her room was so cute and you just felt so relaxed upon walking in and everything smells so nice. Just make sure you arrive 10-15 mins early if it's your first time there. In case you're directionally challenged, like me. I stopped going, obviously, due to covid. Kinda difficult to get a facial with a face mask on, amirite? Well, my friend wanted to get a facial for her first time, so I highly recommended Lisa to her. I went on her website and booked an appointment for my friend and she was excited. I decided since I have both my vaccine shots now that I would finally book an appointment for myself as well after over a year. Went online. Saw she had a 2:45pm appointment available, so I entered my info and received a confirmation email. The day before my appt I received a confirmation reminder through text message. Perfect. Next, I get a confirmation email with instructions on how to find where she is located, including my 2:45pm appt. Perfect. The next day, my appt time finally arrives. I walk in. Sit down in the lobby. It's 2:45pm. No one is there. Now it's 3pm and I'm starting to wonder if maybe I walked into the wrong place. No one is reaching out to me asking if I'm running late. I tried calling and txting the number in the email. No answer. Finally at 3:05pm someone named Dee comes out of the room with her previous client and greets me and asks if I have an appt. I explained to her that I do at 2:45. Dee says to me: "Oh yeah, didn't you receive my message?" I said, "yes I did. 3 messages confirming my appt for 2:45pm." She said "oh no I messaged you to reschedule." *ahem no you didn't and if you did you definitely didn't contact the correct person. 1) Dee wasn't apologetic whatsoever. 2) she kept blaming the computer system 3) she blamed me for not receiving her message??? Okay lady. You're so lucky I live close by because I would've definitely gone off on you for wasting my time. My recommendation for Dee is to stop making excuses, own up to your mistakes, CALL YOUR CLIENT IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL and lastly, learn how to communicate more effectively! I'm sorry but you must've heard what a telephone is by now, right? You didn't think to CALL your client to confirm with them prior to having them drive all the way to your business??? Don't you think it's odd that I never responded back to this so called message you sent??? The most annoying part about this whole ordeal is she said "she only books appts on the hour".... So if that's the case then why is it in YOUR calendar on YOUR website an availability for TWO FOURTY FIVE P M?!?! I wouldn't have booked that time if you won't accept clients at that time! I think you need to fix this asap or more people will be booking those time slots. PLUS I didn't even want this Dee person touching my face! I wanted to book with Lisa but the website automatically booked me with this Dee person. If I ever have to see Dee again I would just cancel on her the same way she did to me. Sorry, but if I showed up late or canceled to any business I had an appt with, the client is generally charged a late/cancel fee. So I don't understand why I wasn't compensated in some way for my time being wasted just because Dee decided to cancel on me. Please learn how to be friendlier and run a business or you will lose long time clients such as myself. Helpful hint: Lisa moved suites btw. (The address on yelp isn't up to date.) she's at suite #354 now. Don't book with Dee. Make sure you schedule your appt with Lisa!
