When your 50 years old and dieting (constantly) and want to get a little moral boost, I thought a spray tan would be good. Plus, I was going on vacation in a few days. I searched online and most of the reviews were - eh. I came across Sinless tan and they had good reviews and were close, so I booked online (so convenient!). Price was incredibly good. I was texted a confirmation and then began a conversation with Katrina. I put on some old undergarments and went for my tan. A half hour later, I was GORGEOUS! Katrina was so welcoming and sweet, even when I had texted her that I was 50 and fat. I could tell as soon as I met her she was not judgmental at all. I'm sure most of her clients are younger and "firmer." Katrina was wonderful. I felt completely at home. My appointment was for 6 pm and I was the only one scheduled for the night. She did an excellent job. I have never had a spray tan look so deep and luscious. No smell, not orangy and looked completely natural. No missing spots or creases. We talked the whole time I was there. She's a wonderful artist and a super nice person. I told her my daughter has been going to A Better Tan but that I would send her to Katrina. If you're an bit on the "mature" side and would like to feel and look good in 20 minutes, I would highly, highly recommend Katrina and Sinless Tan. I will be back for sure! This was the first time I visited Sinless Tan. It was really easy to book an appointment online, which is always a huge plus! The location itself is nice and the interior is very open and cute. The process was very simple and took around 15 minutes. Plus only $35 if it's your first time! My tan looked amazing, one of the best spray tans I've ever had. What a great pick me up for a cold ass January day. The tech, laura was so friendly and thorough, and really makes u feel at ease while standing half naked in front of her getting sprayed. I had a fantastic experience here today! 1) easy booking, parking, and a friendly, helpful technician named Angie, who made standing there topless utterly non-embarrassing! 2) I've had spray tans before, some the "automatic" kind that streak and make you look mostly orange, and others hand-done. This was by far the best color (not a hint of orange!) and most even tan I've ever had! I have crazy white skin, and my legs look fantastic after my spray tan! These girls are the definitely the best in all aspects when it comes to spray tanning. Kat and Ang are beyond professional and flexible. They are very good at communicating open schedule time-frames, booking and are respectful and cognizant of your time. If they are running even 5 minutes behind schedule, they let you know ASAP. The prices are very reasonable for Chicago prices and they have two locations to fit your needs (Lakeview and Oldtown). When it comes to the actual spray tan, its evident they both are not just advocates of spray tan vs. regular tanning, but are both passionate about it. Sinless Tan is located in a fun area just below a salon. I was first very hesitant in getting a spray tan because I figured I would look like someone off jersey shore however sinless tan surprised me. I gave me a glowing goddess feel and I look like I just came back from a Caribbean cruise (minus the painful sunburn and dreadful peeling). A spray tan from Sinless Tan is great for a special event or even just to have a little fun. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. I just moved to Chicago a few months ago and I needed a quick tan for an upcoming wedding and stumbled across The Sinless Tan. I never had a spray tan before, so I was a bit skeptical. Katrina was very professional and the studio is clean. I have had better spray tans though. She missed one of the backs of my arms completely. My legs are pretty streaky as well. The color is nice, I just wish it all wasn't so rushed and the coverage was better. Not sure if I will try again, but not the worst experience I have ever had. read more

This was my first airbrush tanning experience. The good: It was very easy to book an appointment, and I got quick confirmation as well as a personal text, where they were very quick to ease my nervousness and answer my questions. They were friendly and patient with me when I went there. The bad: I was afraid that I would look orange and that the tan would look splotchy or fake. The woman assured me that would not be the case. I opted for the pre-tan, which she said would make my tan last longer. As suggested, I waited until the next morning to rinse off, and when I did I was disappointed that there were a few brown splotches on my face, presumably from preexisting uneven tone, although I hadn't noticed these before. And they are very noticeable now because they are so dark. I was willing to overlook the brown spots on my face, since I'm in my 50's and don't exactly have teenage pristine skin anymore. But what was more disappointing was that the tan was unevenly applied. One arm was noticeably darker than the other, and the top of my right hand was noticeably lighter than the rest of my right arm. And the tone on my upper body was unmistakably orange. Yikes -- I was afraid this might happen. My teenage daughter went the next day, and her tan was also very uneven. Two of her fingers were orange and the tan was very uneven on one of her arms and one of her hands. For me -- I don't think I will do any tanning again, and for my daughter, she will probably do this again, but just not here. I really wanted to like this place, because they are very nice, but it just wasn't a good experience for either of us. read more

This was my first spray tan, for a wedding I am in tomorrow. I just wanted barely any color, just enough to take the edge off of my verrrrry white skin. I told the girl who was doing my tan this, very light natural look. She sprayed me twice all over and I left looking like a white girl in a high school production of west side story.... She told me to wash it off in 4 hours (the express tan), but I knew from friends who had done the express tan elsewhere (and looked GREAT) to rinse in an hour. To split the difference I waited 2 hours.... I should have washed it off immediately. I am so dark, and it is splotchy and some areas are wayyy darker than others. I look like I have a skin disease, or just rolled around in mud. I keep taking showers to try to wash it off evenly before TOMORROW when I have to stand up in the wedding. I am so embarrassed to be in public looking like this. The other first timers in the wedding went to another place and they all look great. Spend a little more money and go to a professional salon for this. My fiance told me if I get a spray tan before our wedding and look like this he wont marry me. read more

NOT IMPRESSED. My hands and ankles have the tell tale signs that I got a spray tan. I thought it was strange that they didn't put any lotion on my palms of my hands or feet but when I asked, the technician said, "No you don't need that we spray only where it looks natural." Also, the tops of my feet are "tan" but the sides are white as snow. So one spray down the front was obviously NOT enough. ;( I've done better on my own in a spray booth. NOT WORTH IT, GO TO A SPRAY BOOTH AND GET THE SAME RESULTS. read more

I'm a melanoma survivor, so I get spray tans. I'll actually call myself a professional spray tan client, since I've been getting them from NY, LA, Chicago and Florida (having lived all over the US). Sinless Tan is by far and wide, the best I've gotten. Ever. Period. Not only is it a quick dry solution, but it washes out of clothes and and sheets. Katrina is extremely professional and respectful. If you know how to maintain a tan, it will last 8 days. Scrub and exfoliate the day before. Do not use any oily soaps of body washes the day of as the tan won't penetrate your skin. Don't touch water within 6 hours (no dishes, laundry etc.) When you do shower the first time after, don't use soap just rinse and pat dry with a towel, no rubbing. Lots and lots of lotion. Everyday, everywhere! Oh and it will 'chip' off as your skin is replenishing itself. That is why you need to get as much dead skin off before. Do all these little tricks and you will look fabulous for a solid week. Anyone that says it 'only lasts 7 days' - well so does the outer layer of your skin. :). Cannot recommend Katrina and sinless any higher ladies and gentleman. It is the best in the city of Chicago. read more

Great tan and Katrina will work with you - I prefer the lighter side of a spray tan and it worked out great - no runny streaks or over-spraying. They provide face cleaning products and hair nets which makes it convenient. The tanning products such as the moisturizer and tanning lotion are great too! read more

I got a Groupon for Sinless Tan. I am so glad that I did! I am now a loyal customer, and I'm going in for my 7th tan this week for a wedding! What sets Sinless apart from other salons, and trust me, I've been to a bunch of them, is that the ingredients are organic, and it doesn't leave that gross spray tan scent. I get my spray, put on my makeup, and I am good to go for the day. Katrina is super sweet and accommodates my weird requests (triple spray on face, no spray on arm pits, light spray on feet and hands, etc.) I've been to other salons where they refuse to do the color I want or an extra spritz. Katrina really aims to please her customers, and I am one HAPPY customer! Her tans are always a natural looking, golden glow. The spray lasts a good week before it starts to fade, but you can still see it up to 2 weeks. I moisturize each day and exfoliate a week after the tan. I never have an blotchiness or streaks. Katrina is really thorough. I highly recommend this business. It's the best spray tan in Chicago! :) read more
