Hello, I am a new resident of Baltimore city moving from Prince Georges County in June of 2020…read more Since moving to Baltimore, I and many other neighbors on the Sheldon Ave block have had a major concern about the trash pick up in this neighborhood. Just this past Friday morning I went out to my trash being half dumped, as well as my 1 lawn bag not collected, yet last week, the 3 lawn bags that I had were collected, but my trash was still half dumped, so next week it going to be double the trash, this is not only for me, but for my neighbors as well. How are we as a community suppose to help keep our community and streets clean, if some of the sanitation workers are not leading by example with just doing the job that they were hired to do.

I double check their website to make certain it's open. Google reviews were mostly positive. As I…read moredrive up, I see it's a large space with lots of dumpsters. The workers were sitting around and approached my car asking what I was there for. I said I had some recycles. The "lead" guy says to go to the second dumpster (away from us). As I back up to it, I see it's full of trash. I'm confused and think maybe he means the dumpster spray painted with the number "2" on it, further down the parking area. So I go there and start to unload. He yells at me, but since he's too far away for me to hear, and since he's not moving, I go toward him. He points to the original dumpster and I say, "But I want to recycle!" He explains some sort about the recycle dumpsters are full, someone didn't bring them another one... I go back to my car to load my recycles to take home when a guy sitting in a car in the lot - presumably a worker, as well - asks what I'm doing and what I've got. When I show him my two huge boxes of paper and cardboard, he picks them up and pitches them effortlessly into the "full" recycle dumpster - mind you, it's maybe 8' tall. Then I have a smaller plastic container of bottles and cans. He looks at them and tosses them into another trash dumpster. Arggh. Maybe two out of three isn't bad...
