Our family of 4 arrived on Friday around 7pm. We were seated outside right away. The view was beautiful! It took 20 minutes for someone to show up at our table and bring water. We were ready to order at that point because we were hungry. We ordered off the menu, no special requests. It took another 40 minutes to get one appetizer and we were informed they "ran out of bread" (our second appetizer.) We were waiting for 1.5 hours before our waitress noticed us and we were able to ask how long it would take to get our meal. At almost 2 hours we received our food!! We were not very happy as there were several groups that were seated after we ordered yet received their food much sooner. They did not bring out one side my son ordered, no explanation. When I later questioned why he didn't receive his side (chips,) they informed us they "ran out." Our waitress informed us that we would not be charged for the items they didn't have. Really? What a shock! The manager then came out to talk to us. When we informed her it took almost 2 hours to get our food she said we would get a 10% discount. Not impressed. Food itself was okay, a bit salty. My son did not like his fettuccini alfredo and didn't eat it. It looked like it was out for quite some time when they brought it to the table. My other son had the bison burger and liked it.

The fish is outstanding loved it

Stopped off on the way to Missoula to grab lunch. Great atmosphere and views and the food and service was top notch. Will stop again for sure we left full and very satisfied.

Salmon ...very good.

Poor service. Long waits. Won't return. To many other good places in Polson! It's unfortunate because of the beautiful views. Needs a management overhaul STAT. Not sure what changed from 4 years ago. And reading the recent reviews it sounds like the owner needs some customer service education. Wow! Good business starts at the top. Sad:(

As other Yelpers have mentioned, the views here are fabulous. We were pleased that the food was also great. We had fish tacos and the chicken sandwich. Bothe we're yummy. The sweet potato fries were good, but the rosemary fries were somewhat underdone. Serving size of the fries was huge! Our server was attentive and friendly and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back in the summer to check out the view and more menu items.

We were worried about coming here based on the problems people had in the past - waiting 2 hours for food. Our service was excellent, however. Our server was extremely attentive. We had drinks and appetizers in less than half an hour and our whole dining experience was 1.5 hours. Everything was perfectly timed and our server checked on us constantly. The prime rib was great - as were the huckleberry margaritas and mules! We will definitely go back! It was a perfect evening!

WOW!! I mean WOW OH WOW!! What a difference a few months can make. The owner has recently (Summer '23) hired a new executive chef, who is now training other chefs. The menu is the same as of now, but will be revamped in the upcoming months. But, I had the Chicken Picatta, one of my favorite dishes, and can honestly say it was one of...if not THE BEST...Chicken Picattas I've had anywhere. The chicken was prepared perfectly, the lemon-caper sauce was EXACTLY as it should, and the linguine pasta bed was also perfect. My wife had the roasted half-chicken and, when our waitress said it's "sous vide, then flash-fried", we knew something was up...and boy were we right. Again, PERFECT prepared and delicious! Their Old Fashioned rivals the best I've ever had, which is mine...lol...because I've used the best of the best recipes to come up with my own. Well, The Shoe has just upped the game and caused me to think about modifying my recipe once again! "Stormi" was more than our server; she's the new Assistant Manager and was a delight. She was timely, caring, and truly wanted to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Same holds true for the other waitress who checked on us to make sure our order was taken, along with the Bartendress who was delighted to hear my compliments on the O.F.. For anyone hesitating with less than perfect reviews; consider it THE PAST...HISTORY...GONE. A new leaf has been turned and my only hope is that The Shoe doesn't become so crowded that we can't get a table! Oh yeah...and we had some awesome live music tonight as well!!

We ate here because during Covid, if we eat out, which is extremely rare, we will only eat on patios and outdoors. This place has a lovely patio overlooking Flathead lake, and the menus we found online appeared to have a decent variety of food allowing us to find something to eat. Upon entering, we were stunned, only one or two of the staff were wearing masks. With the state requirement, we were surprised. We almost walked out and went elsewhere, but before we could decide, the took us to a table on the patio. For this reason alone, I am removing a star. If you don' t take this seriously, how seriously do you take cleanliness and other things to keep your patrons safe? For food, we had the crab cakes, shrimp scampi and a margarita pizza. We also ordered a bottle of rosé wine. I was impressed that the mark up on the wines was super reasonable and the food prices were also reasonable. The crab cakes were very good, lots of crab with very little filler. The shrimp scampi and pizza also turned out just fine. That is where the good kind of ends and my concerns come in......service was very slow and disjointed. Not sure if this was our servers fault or the kitchen, but I gather it was the kitchen because things our server controlled were somewhat timely (like the wine, asking for silverware, and the bill). However, the first issue was that one of the other servers took our food to another table in error, causing us about a 30 minute delay......next, when my dish came out, I sat for a good 7 minutes before my partners food came out. I find this unacceptable, as I think dining together is important. I will say that I saw something I found remarkable. A group of 8 ladies showed up and it was clearly a bachelorette party. When one of the girls asked the host to take a photo of them at their table, she said it would be a cuter photo if they did it on the stairs and down on the dock. She ended up spending a good 20 minutes with the party taking a variety of photos of them down on the dock and on the stairs down to the dock. She was patient, kind and generous with her time. I was super impressed with her and how she handed this special event. Anyway, so why only 3 stars? Mostly due to their handling of covid and the disjointed service. Otherwise, the food was very good, prices were completely reasonable and our view was outstanding.

I just want to add, it says on here "has many vegetarian options" who ever put that there needs to look at the menu again.

First off - delivery not available tonight for some reason the store can't do Door Dash…read more Second - my husband went to pick up the order and my sandwich was an awful gooey mess. This is the same sandwich I order every single time and it's different now. The dressing was applied to the bottom bread and had saturated it turning it into a literal slab of goo. It was not edible. Third - the gal I spoke to on the phone said yes, they've changed the way they're making the sandwiches. I asked if there was something she could do to help me. She said I could talk to someone else. She said she'd let me talk to "this other guy." No name, no title, but she handed the phone off to the "other guy." Her customer service was completely lacking. Fourth - I talk to the "other guy" who seems annoyed by the fact I'd been expecting the same sandwich I normally get. He said it's "corporate" and offered no resolution, no nothing. I pointed out that adequate customer service means when someone has a problem with their order (and hello! part of the big reason franchise restaurants exist is for the consistency which should be expected!) He did not seem to think gooey bread would be a problem. He sounded annoyed with me. I can understand being annoyed but putting that on your customer is not acceptable. By this time I felt disrespected and have lost my appetite. I asked him to make it right. He asked what I'd like him to do. I ask for a refund and he says he can't do that but I could call back tomorrow and talk to the daytime manager, that he as the night manager could not give a refund. I did not have any desire to call back tomorrow, I would like it resolved tonight, which is why I called. He said he'd remake it. Fifth - my husband had to take time to go back to the store, and I have the remade sandwich now but I'm worried they might have spit in it, they were both so rude. I have been a regular customer here but no longer. If "corporate" made you make a change that made your customer unhappy, you had a chance to explain it and good customer service could have been a real plus. This terrible customer service will have further consequences as we live here and it's a small town. You're on the wrong side of the word of mouth.

Online I ordered a BLT and a Cold Cut. Long story short there were ingredients missing, undercooked…read morebacon and WAY too much mayo. WAY too many onions. Just a soggy mess. I decided to bring them back and explain what I had received and why I was back. Instant defense-mode from the first employee. I offered to show said sandwiches to her or a picture or both. She told me she didn't care what I do with them. Prints a copy of the order and starts her craft. For a while, silence. I raised my voice just enough to make it obvious i need her attention and proceed to explain that I'd like an ingredient removed and to "please apply the mayo lightly." She said very quickly and without eye contact that "someone else is doing the veggies so I'll have to take it up with her." The manager, I'm guessing, suddenly appears from the back and is now in full control of my order. An ingredient was applied and I gently said "ok that's perfect, thanks." Manager swaps utensils a bit harshly and asks if i would like it spread or not. Seemingly sarcastic and rhetorical based off her attitude. I "yes please"ed the question and we moved on slightly. Now remember, I mentioned the mayo was really heavy after arriving with the sandwiches that I wanted replaced. It came time to apply mayo on these new editions that needed to be supervised. So potentially better. I went on. Thick, heavy and without remorse. All eyes are on me as I'm getting a recreated clone of the trash sammies I've brought back for redemption. We're back to square one but without spinach and with more of a few other things not asked for due to the lack of conversation with employee #1. Finally, we've made it to the register. Just to test the water, or should I say cut the room with a proverbial butter knife, I said "so what do I owe ya?" This manager looks around, assumingely for witnesses and/or support of her unethical thoughts. She received none and I stated, "so none?". I'm asked if it's a remake. I thought we were all grasping for the same page here. "Yes" I said. "Well then yeah, nothing." She slides the bag of angry remade but nearly identical f***ed up sandwiched over the counter to me. She nearly accepted the price of these poorly made slops in crusty bread once again. That's the last time I ever give money to Subway on hwy 93 in Polson.
