I only gave a one because I couldn't post this without giving them at least 1 star. This place is terrible. Clueless staff, filthy restaurant, no one knows what time they are open til. They actually said it would be at least an hour before starting our food. BEFORE STARTING!!!! We even called and asked if they were still serving food. No one said anything about the wait time for food. There were like 8 tables in the whole place. 4 were occupied. The other 4 we covered with dirty dishes that didn't get touched the whole time we were there. Yet there were 3 servers on. 3 servers and 8 tables. We left and went across the street to get pizza. If they offered me free open food ticket with whatever I wanted to eat, I'd never step foot in that place. read more

They have changed the menu and Chef at The Nook yet again (new menu started this week 5/20/14) , and I was really happy with the results. Local cheese, local noodles. My steak was perfect, service was prompt, our drinks were never empty, and everyone there was friendly. The portions aren't huge, but we left full. I'm really happy they kept the frybread with huckleberry butter. YUM. Fun new menu items: Brushetta Chicken, Shrimp Scampi, Basil Rib-eye... that's all I remember off the top of my head. I honestly wish I could give no stars because everything about this experience was terrible, table of 6 and we all got our food at separate times, the steak wasn't cooked right so we sent it back (in the mean time we still haven't received our kids macaroni) the steak comes back we're still waiting on food, they weren't even busy and the server knew nothing about the menu ! It's our second time here. First time service was poor. We gave them a second chance. Service is poor again. But what helped the bad service was the live jazz music by a father son trio!! Food is mediocre. It's just freezer food I suspect. But we love staying in the water so staying here is nice and dinner here is convenient. read more

Riverside Boat Rental staff and boats are above the rest! They were so friendly on the phone. Worked with Brock - he was very knowledgeable and friendly. My husband had had his 3rd open heart surgery 3 weeks ago. I was able to ask Brock questions about a regular boat vs a pontoon boat. He was so kind and said if it doesn't work for him we can return the boat and he would not charge us. When we arrived the water was realllllllly chopping due to wind. He was honestly concerned and caring and again said if it doesn't work for you or for the boat return it. Ended up all was well and we had a great afternoon on the boat. We needed the good time after our last few weeks. My husband even drove the boat the entire time. They were super friendly upon return as well! This is our 2nd year renting from then and both were amazing! read more

Great view and location, however ... Terrible service! Food and drinks took forever to come out. They were out of an ingredient on the main item on the menu... instead of telling us about it before we ordered, the food came out with missing ingredients and when questioned, no apologies and no discounts. They were out of several items on the menu. We ordered soups and they never came out. Stay away at all cost! read more

New menu, amazing new chef/manager! He has really made his place better. Looks like the service, food and overall quality has gotten much better since he took over! Had the garden veggie wrap with sweet potato fries! Delicious!! The local fried cheese curds are to die for.... Definitely some of the best I've tasted. read more

We had chicken fingers and sweet potato fries. Both were yummy. Ranch was provided for dipping. Could have used something special for each. My friend had the spaghetti with meat balls. That was great all around. Recommended . They need to provide a booze menu. The bar is upstairs, but they will bring the drinks down to you. Would eat here again. read more

Showed up looking nice only to figure out it was a casual bistro setting. Sat down. Looked at the expensive 5 choice menu. Waited for service (there were only five tables of customers) ten minutes later we walked right out after getting no service and no intent to eat any of the food at that price. Ate there on a beautiful day in the patio by the lake. The location was better than the meal, but the food was fine and the service was friendly and timely. Totally respectable fare but nothing extraordinary. I had the Taco Burger (with bison meat) which was huge (could have split it!) and the fry bread bites which were very tasty, although the huckleberry butter didn't taste much like huckleberry. My friends had BYOB burgers with bison meat as well and enjoyed them. The sweet potato fries are great! read more
