The owner Pat is one of the nicest guys you'll come across. The ambiance here is true to pub culture and feels very much at home when here.

I love The Shannon! It's a nice bar that usually plays pop/edm music. I didn't know they provide games (on weekdays I think) until I visited on a Monday with my girl friends. We played several rounds of pool ($1 per game) and it was so fun. We had beers for the time we were there. The bartender was nice and worked quickly. It wasn't too busy since we were there pretty early but it did get busy toward midnight. We decided to go to the back of the place where the games were. They had Jenga and Connect 4. We played the most intense game of Jenga! Such a cool addition to a bar space. You could also change the song that's playing for $1. I've also been to this spot on a weekend and it's a bar with a dance-floor in the back. I love how spacious and versatile it is!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for some drinks with my boyfriend. It wasn't super packed like the other bars we tried to get into so this was perfect for us. It was a super chill environment. They have big screens for you to watch the games. We ordered amaretto sour and green tea shots. Overall, this is a chill bar for you to enjoy a game and some drinks with no over crowding.

I went here for my honeymoon from dallas and it was the best bar! My husband and I had your pink lemonade drinks and they were amazing! The bartender and the door guy were so respectful and helpful. We will definitely come back during our week trip! Thank you guys!

4.5 stars... If you come here at the right time this place is as good as it gets. Come here at the wrong time and I'm sure you'll find out why there's all too many negative reviews. That being said me and my girlfriend were here around 5-7pm on Saturday. There was less than 10 people in the front room and nobody in the back room. We sat at the bar drinking our $3 pints of Miller Lite before realizing that beyond the pool table there was a huge back room. This is probably where all the action happens during prime hours with all the fancy screens, lights, and DJ booth but as we had the place to ourselves we didn't have to deal with any of the obnoxiousness that most likely was hours away. The room already had several tables set up for beer pong complete with the cups and ping pong balls ready. There were also three dart boards in great shape and a fuse ball table. An $8 pitcher of beer later it was on. I had a great time with my girlfriend here and would definitely come by again as long as it wasn't crowded. It's worth noting that this place has some great drink specials and vary from day to day. The most impressive of which are 50 cent mugs of beer from 12-1 on Saturdays. It's also worth noting there is a $20 minimum for credit cards but they do have an ATM (though it has a $3 fee).

Mikey is the best bartender in Hoboken. Best cosmopolitan. Amazing whiskey selection. Best spot to chill and enjoy the atmosphere with music and just fade into the bar.

Really awesome vibe inside. Games like connect four, pool, cornhole. Good drinks. Bartenders are okay. Bathrooms are clean.

    Walk in

What type of music is played on saturdays typically?

    Hip Hop

    Do they serve food?

    No.

Is this a 21 and older bar?

    Yes.

I have 2 questions. One being is there a cover charge? And the second being is there a dress code? A lot of reviews I have been reading from different bars in Hoboken says that people were kicked out for wearing ripped jeans. My 21st is this weekend…

No cover! Not a strict dress code. Just look decent!

Seemed like it might've been 1.5 cobs stripped to look like ribs. The fries were good. I also got the apple tart. If you like McDonald's apple pie, you'll like the tart. The ambiance and overall vibe are excellent, with great music, drinks, and food that truly make the experience enjoyable. What really stood out was the service. Since we were a group of 15, they ensured we had a dedicated server assisting us throughout the evening, including helping us manage separate tabs smoothly, which made everything so convenient. A special thank you to the Stout NYC team for hosting us on the evening of June 2nd, 2026. We had an amazing time and will definitely recommend this place to others looking for a great group gathering spot in NYC!

The place itself is pretty spacious with three floors. All are first come, first serve. The atmosphere felt very lively. The staff really stood out as they were friendly, attentive and added to the energy. At one point, the screens in front of us showed only football, so we asked if they can change the channel. One of the employees joked around saying they can't change it. But when we were about to flip a lid, he said just kidding. It was a funny moment that made the experience feel very personal. Drinks (the beers), were reasonably priced, which is always a plus in a sports bar. The food was standard bar food. Nothing memorable. Overall, this place is a great spot to watch the Knicks game.

It was however to loud where you can barely hear/understand the waiters or the ppl in your party that youre talking to. Cool vibes but the food fell short. I ordered the soul loving and the only thing good was the yams, the mac n cheese was okay. I didnt like the collard greens. The chicken look like it was Bam Bams bat from the flintstones aka steroid chicken; it was so friggin big & lacked seasoning/flavor. I also ordered the yum yum shrimp w the sauce on the side in case it was to spicy. I ate a few shrimp w/o the sauce & it was not good imo. I left more than 1/2 my food on my plate. Both my friends had the rasta pasta - 1 w shrimp 1 w chicken. My friend w the chicken picked her chicken out stating it tasted funny & the pasta was better w/o it. She also got fish tacos which she did not like them either. The drinks were good. We only had the montana, margarita & rum punch. I'd return mainly for the music & drinks. The waitress asked if we wanted to go bags & I said no immediately & my face said it all. She was like you didnt like it. Im like nah its a no for me. She brought me a drink since i wasnt happy. That was nice of her as I wasnt expecting anything.

For me, it's the food that wins for me. Hudson Station as I mentioned is not much to see from the inside but it had a Cheers (tv show) like charm. As I sat waiting for the waiter to come and take the order, I couldn't help but think about the tv show and the similarities from the show. The service was ok but the food was better. I enjoyed an amazing pulled pork sandwich with slaw on top. The BBQ sauce from the pulled pork was perfect. I had a side of fries and a few bears. My friend had a burger that he reports was good as well. Unfortunately, the waiter in the end botched the bill and made us late for our show. I was not pleased with that outcome but I did enjoy the food and music. From what I can tell, it seems like a happening place. I believe there may be a lounge upstairs but I'd have to return to confirm that. That said, I will be back and I recommend that you give them a try.
