Horribly managed building. Specifically the building manager - Michael Liposcak - is terrible. My fiance and I leased a unit in this building for one year. Mike always treated us like second class citizens, I suppose since were not homeowners (which is funny, since we just purchased a home and had Mike and the building itself been better, we would have considered buying in the building). They charge crazy high assessments to in part support this man's salary, when he would regularly take several days to respond to any questions for issues, and when he would respond, the responses were not helpful.
Aside from the management issue, the building itself is old and falling apart. The unit above ours had a pipe burst and no one in the building could figure out what happened. The cable and internet wiring is shoddy, so our Comcast wifi would regularly not work, and again, the building refused to help (even though the wiring goes through the common components of the building). So when an issue does arise, no one wants to assist, and since the building is old, there are lots of issues.
There is a plethora of new and newer construction condo buildings in River North that are worth the hefty price tag. The units at the Sexton are not worth the hefty price tags. We could not wait to get out. Avoid at all costs. read more
