This is my first time living in a "professionally" managed building. From my experience here, I would never pay for something like this again. My fiance and I have had issues since day 1. To name a few: -The Resident lounge is actually an employee lounge throughout the day as that is the only space the employees have to go to. -The grills have been broken since day 1. You have to bring down your own lighter, pick up the metal grates with your hands, and then light it to actually get it to work. -Once snow started in Chicago, the management team would not have the snow removed from common spaces making the grills, etc. inaccessible. -The key FOBs don't actually give you access to anything. I don't even know why they give them to all the residents when they don't work to get you into any of the common spaces. -They will randomly do renovations on a floor without providing any of the surrounding apartments a notice. This is very frustrating especially during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC when everyone is working from home. When you speak to the management team about these issues, they make you feel like you are the only one with problems and that everything is great about the building. That is not true as I have spoken to several residents who are frustrated with all the same issues. This experience has made me think twice about paying to live in a managed high rise building. read more

My wife and I have lived at Echelon for 2+ years and we absolutely love it. It is in the heart of River West/Fulton market and walking distance to EVERYTHING!! The building/leasing staff is extremely friendly and always available. If there is an issue with the apartment, they have onsite maintenance staff and get things fixed asap. The building has amazing amenities including: on site gym, pool, resident lounge, library, etc. If you have a car, they have an amazing ON SITE garage that leads up to the main lobby. This building is not worth it! There are plenty of places in the area for similar size that offer just as much if not more for the similar price range. In my time living here, I have had several packages go missing (big and little including a TV stand). I have had several issues with my appliances in the kitchen and the rest of the unit AC not working including today as I'm writing this (apparently this is a "one-pipe" building so half the building runs on hot and the other half on cold so when weather changes you can get screwed over bad) and tons of one-off problems elevators out of service or guest parking not being available at all due to construction (currently going on and occurred for me yesterday but we were never notified by management and I had a friend in from out of town who rented a car and this prevented the visit). All in all, great location and not great everything else. Planning to move. read more

For my first time living in the city, I chose Echelon and I am so happy I did. There is jewel osco right across the street, clean apartment, and location is great. There are so many good restaurants nearby and area feels pretty safe to walk at night. read more

I've lived at Echelon for 1 year now and I can say it has been the best apt I've have ever lived at! I've lived at 7 different apartment buildings in the last 10 years ranging from large corporately owned management complexes to 6 unit buildings. I have never enjoyed living somewehere more than here. This was my first apt in Chicago after moving to the city and I have felt so safe and welcomed. The team at the front desk is awesome, friendly, and very accommodating. Moona and the staff at the office has worked with me during the pandemic to make me feel safe. I recently resigned for another year at Echelon and would highly recommend it to anybody. As far as Covid protocols, they have hand sanitizer in several locations in the lobby. All staff and residents are required to wear masks. I have also seen the cleaning crew in the lobby elevators in common rooms several times a day. read more

I've lived in the Echelon building since November 2018, and plan to renew for a 2nd time. It's truly in an ideal location - close to the Loop, West Loop and even Michigan Avenue where I work. Plus that Jewel across the street - THE BEST. 2020 and even now in 2021 life remains interesting and there are COVID-related restrictions all around us, but the Echelon staff continues to handle the situation very well and keeps tenants informed every step of the way. Glad to be a current tenant and looking forward to my upcoming renewal. Truly a great place to live in the city. read more

This is a great building with good staff. Ilana in the leasing office has been very helpful ever since we moved in. The maintenance staff is really polite and I do like how all the maintenance requests that I have made so far have been followed up with a call from the management to check if the requests have been met. Lived here for 3 years (2016-2019) and loved the place. I'm pretty skeptical of management teams - how quickly they'll actually fix things; how safe the parking area is; that they actually throw events for residents; but echelon exceeded our expectations on all fronts. We would probably put in ~5-6 maintenance requests a year and i think every one was completed within 24 hours. they throw a few resident parties a year, capped off with a great holiday party in December (Gibson's live music, free drinks). And the parking garage was always safe. Their maintenance staff is friendly; door people were always helpful; and the management team always answered questions quickly. Couldn't appreciate this place more. Only reason we moved out is to move cities for a new job opportunity. definitely would recommend read more

The maintenance team appears to have a quota that only accounts for the amount of time a request is open, not if the request was actually completed or fixed. I moved in 1 month ago and have had 5 separate requests that haven't been fully resolved. I continue to have issues with my washer/dryer unit and each request has been marked "resolved." The AC unit completely stopped working and was replaced by another unit that did not work as well, but the request was still marked resolved. Outdated appliances are recycled throughout the building without the maintenance team knowing if they work or not. 3 stars because of the location and living spaces. But if you need something fixed, expect a frustrating process. read more

Another long overdue review! I actually ended up living at Echelon for about 3-years. It was a rocky first year with the new management company, Crescent Heights. But I can say that Debbie, Tina and the leasing staff were nothing short of awesome! The cost is WELL worth it! Completely renovated gym, pool area that is a big "WIN" during the summer, onsite cleaners and package pick up, 24/7 security/door staff. It's definitely worth it and a great living experience. I used to live in the 'burbs (Oak Park) and moved downtown because of my job. Working until 10 PM and riding the Green line to Oak Park is 100% south of awesome. I stumbled across Echelon and became a resident shortly thereafter. After Crescent Heights purchased the building, it was a rocky first year. However, by the end of year two - they had Fooda every Tuesday in the lobby (which is GREAT), food trucks on the weekend, events for the residents during the holidays and even had an open swim for dogs at the end of summer when the pool would close for the season. The only bad thing that I experienced while there, and truly the only thing that is not even within Echelon at K Station control, is the dog park that is adjacent to the building. It is shared by Bloomer Chocolate, the Alta and Echelon buildings. Like most dog parks, you have a mix of owners who pick up and those who don't. Over the course of five years, the number of people with dogs has easily doubled, if not, tripled. Most owners are not picking up after their dogs so you have to watch where you step. Hopefully the city will step in and fix it restoring it to a beautiful grassy knoll but until then - always check the bottom of your shoe. read more

I lived here for 3 years from 2013-2015. While we stayed awhile. I thought i would share some of the concerns we ran into with this building. I will say even though the negative review their was some good. The leasing reps were extremely friendly and always remembered everyones names. The maintenance guys were both super awesome. Sad they werent in our new building 1.) constant maintenance issues (remodel of the back roundabout took 6 months and they did nothing really noticeable, garage doors breaking within every 6 months, elevators constantly down and for some reason always taking long periods to get fixed, computer lab printers always broken) 2.) door staff constantly changing. While the door staff was great when you finally get to know them they were transferred out. We inquired with the staff and they said they rotate( so you cant ever get comfortable to faces) 3.) directtv, you may like or not but either way you are stuck with it. You think you get a discount for being in the building. But our bill was constantly $75 with the discount and just add the normal channels and hbo( they wouldn't upgrade our box without paying the service fee of 10 bucks a month for 2 years) 4.). Price, yes everything is expensive in Chicago, but they charge an arm and leg for rent considering the issues above. Our last year there we were paying 2400 with parking, oh btw that was for a 1 bedroom. Lastly, and one of the things most annoying with our situation was that when we moved out we made sure to fix/clean everything so their wouldn't be any additional cost to us moving out. I was extremely shocked to find out they wanted us to pay over $300 for replacing the carpet because there was excessive wear and tear in the common areas...DUH. We lived there for 3 years in an 800 sq ft apartment, not a whole lot can be done. We paid 180 when moving in to have them replace the carpets as they had some "life expectancy" in them. I will say upon calling and complaining that they were nickeling and diming me after we just spent over $70k over the last 3 year that they said we could pay half. What a joke. We said we weren't paying as it was absurd and ended up getting a collection notice. I just figured if you are looking at places in the area, your best bet is make sure to look around. I've lived here for almost 2 years now and can't say too much bad about the property. There aren't any cold draft nights and there usually is no one in the lounge. I agree with Mollie - the gym is NEVER over crowded and the building is worth the rent. ***Update (4/2011)- I will be moving after my second full year of being here. Every building is going to have it's pros and cons, (and this one has quite a few pros) but if you are considering a move into this building, I would encourage you to consider the following: -Parking -- Garage is attached to the building and will be an additional $215 per month. Guest parking is available in the garage, but can be pricey. Street parking is available for 2 hour time slots....not the most convenient option always. Unfortunately there is no direct access to the building from the parking garage....this has always been something I didn't like. -Cell phone coverage -- Coverage in the building has been painfully horrible. I work from home quite often and have had to get a land line. I've lived on both a low floor and a pretty high floor and neither worked. I have also had Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T.....no luck, especially between the hours of 4-7 PM when the trains are running at full capacity. -Heating -- remember that although the unit has gas (which is included in the 'utility package'), heat is electric - your responsibility. Factor this into your winter budget. -Pets -- there are many dogs in the building. Not a problem for me, but consider this if you don't like them. Elevators can be slow, and of course some pet owners aren't very considerate and assume everyone is a pet lover. Hope this helps. read more

This weekend was unusually warm, and our air conditioning stopped working. Being a typically useless modern male, I put in a maintenance request to resolve this issue. I put the request in on Saturday, and I assumed it would not be addressed until Monday at the earliest. When we got back from drinking on Sunday, we found that the air conditioning had been expertly fixed by Alan. As if this weren't impressive enough, we got a follow-up call at 8 PM on Sunday from Alan asking us if the air conditioning was still functioning optimally. Kristin or someone in the office, give Alan a raise. Echelon has the best maintenance service you could ask for. read more

When we were looking for an apartment, we were focused on the West Loop area, with my commute to the Ukrainian Village for work but more importantly, my fiance's commute to the suburbs. Plus, several of our graduate school friends were living in the area and it seemed like the place to be. We looked at 16 places total, in one day (exhaaaausting). We ended up choosing Echelon for a few different reasons: 1. Price: of all the other buildings, it was the most affordable to us while offering pretty much what other buildings offered 2. Availability: They had a larger one bedroom available and given it was our first place together we needed more space 3. Parking: We have a car and needed a spot for it 4. Amenities: A pool and gym that we actually use 5. Type of residents: Alta across the street was way too bros and bitties for us - Echelon is more mellow :) We worked with Ilana to secure our place and also took advantage of a promotion they had for the application fee. We've now been there over a year and the leasing office and building team are always helpful and act fast when needed. They are actually re-doing the lounge and gym so I'm excited to see what that's like. The building is well located with River North being just over the bridge and Jewel Osco being right across the street. SOOOOO convenient and now I'm totally spoiled. We both walk to work now, me in River North and him to The Loop. It's pretty nice. I think there's a few areas for improvement: 1. Grill area: Wish this was near the pool. Going through multiple doors to get from grill through gym to the pool can be a struggle with trays of food. 2. In-apartment finishing: I wish we could've gotten the wood floors vs. the carpet when we signed without an up-charge - the carpet collects dirt and things and my allergies definitely act up! 3. Storage space: I wish we had more space -we are really struggling with the lack of closet space or storage in the building - I wish they leased out some of the open parking spots at a much lower rate with storage bins or something so we could keep things down there - right now they're on extra coat racks and in piles around the apartment. I'm not local so my parents place isn't an option! All in all, we like living here! read more

I'm sad to say my husband and I are leaving Echelon this Saturday so I thought I would provide my overall perception in the year we lived here. We had every intention of staying longer term but we decided to purchase a home. Echelon by far has the best amenities of any apartment I've lived in and they are well maintained. The proximity to Jewel Osco is great and very convenient. The concierge, maintenance and management staffs were always helpful and friendly. Illana was my go-to for everything and always returned my messages within minutes. Debbie was great as well. The apartment itself was great - washer/dryer was key for us. The finishes were higher end and we had a great view - even from the the bottom floor. There were not really any cons but rather my own preferences. There are not a of families and more individuals living here. During the evenings on the weekends it can become extremely loud especially in the hallways. Again, it's a preference - if you like to go out a lot and do not have any obligations to a spouse or children, you're in good shape. With regards to the use of the pool, many residents do not follow the rules such as one guest per resident, no alcohol and holding chairs - my window faces the pool and I watched a girl come outside at 8 AM, 'hold' seven chairs by placing beach towels in them and then return around 11 AM with six friends. Nonetheless, I got some good time in at the pool (I'm not a big sun person; see: potential wrinkles). Overall Echelon is a great place to live. read more

I can proudly say "this is home." I have usually moved out of an apartment complex after each year with disappointment but Echelon at K station is the first apartment complex I have happily renewed. The amenities are fantastic, pricing is comparable to other apartments in the area, but most importantly, a building is good because of it's people. We found the apartment through http://www.jaketasharski.com/. Ilana has been my point of contact in the leasing office since we moved in and has never disappointed us. In many other places I have lived in, once the lease is signed it takes forever to get a response, and you realize you were quickly forgotten after you were just part of someone's quota. I have received the same first class service as a resident as I did when I was a prospect. The building is constantly being cleaned and it is well maintained - the hallways were recently renovated. The pool is always spotless and so is the gym. I love knowing that the gym always smells freshly cleaned. Let's be honest, there are plenty of sketchy apartment gyms. I would have to say the unsung heroes of our experience would be the maintenance team. Whenever we have an issue (and we rarely do, but every once in a blue moon, things happen) Brooke & Elliot are always on it in a very timely manner. They are also incredibly friendly and say hi when we are passing in the building. I would have to say the heart of this place is the fantastic staffing. It didn't take me long to decide to renew my lease here. Look no further, you've found home. read more

I've lived at Echelon for 4+ years. The pros are great, but there is one big con that is quickly becoming a deal-breaker for me. Pros: - Location (short distance to "L", grocery store, good eats in the West Loop, nearby parks) - Floor plans - Overall building maintenance/upkeep - Amenities - Price (cheaper than some of surrounding West Loop options) Cons: - Noise: If you are looking to live someplace where you don't hear your neighbors, this is not the place for you. The walls are thin and the vents connect multiple units so unless you have especially considerate or quiet neighbors you will hear TVs, music, talking...pretty much everything. There are stipulations in the lease against making disruptive noise, but management is not particularly good about enforcing this no noise policy (especially if the noise isn't loud parties). I (mostly) lucked out with like-minded, quiet neighbors the first 4 years I was here (there was that one incident with the crazy party people in the apartment above me, but that didn't last long since their noise violation was so flagrant), but haven't been so lucky since and this is quickly becoming a massive thorn in the flesh. So, while Echelon has many good points, if you don't want to hear your neighbors living their lives, consider choosing someplace else. read more

Ok, so on my way out of the building, I'm sad to go! But, alas, I need to move larger, and the building doesn't have anything within my budget. The office staff is so nice. They are really great to residents, and really care about the people who live there. I've never had any maintenance issues, and anything I ever needed fixed was done within 8 hours--even on the weekends. The door people are super friendly, they just redid the carpet in my hallway, and are making lots of improvements constantly! If my living needs change again, this building is the first place I'll look. The cost compared to other high rises is about the same, and the people here are way nicer. read more

Let me begin by saying that Echelon at K Station is a great place to live! My husband and I have lived in the building since late June 2013 and just renewed a few months ago - we love it. The building has everything we could possibly need, most importantly, convenience! Jewel is literally across the street - we both walk to work from the building - and the employees are all so nice and friendly. The front desk associates always say good morning when we leave in the morning and welcoming us back in the evenings when we return. Maintenance is also great - always friendly and completing requests within a day. The Leasing Agents are also very friendly and helpful. I actually moved from Denver last June to be with my (then) fiancé in Chicago - and I was very nervous about finding the right place for us - especially coming from out of town and not knowing what neighborhood we would like. This was the final building we looked at and we really liked it - I loved the model apartment layout that we saw as well. The renting process (paperwork, etc.) was pretty easy and all done through email. It ended up being the perfect place for all of our needs/wants. We have a one bedroom with a great view of the city (down W. Upper Wacker) which I love. All things Lobby: Dry Cleaning, Package Pickup, Coffee Machine, Grills, Gym, Pool, Pool Table, TV, Business Center, Mailboxes. Dry Cleaning & Package Pickup are in the lobby and their services are great and organized! Suzanne is very efficient and always so sweet. The gym is small, but has lots of machines; it's never too crowded to not have your own space and is kept clean. We do use the gym often and it's great that it's right downstairs. The pool is also a great feature - we have used it so much (last summer and this summer). There's also a fire pit...which I have never used personally, but that is a nice feature as well. The only thing I don't like about the pool deck/fire pit area is that the door outside locks in the winter - it would be nice to have the ability to go outside (even though it may be cold). Outdoor Grills are also provided (separate from the pool deck) and can be used by residents at any time - which is great. Business Center with PC and Mac computers as well as and printers/copiers/fax available for use. Mailboxes are also in the lobby and are easy to get to - located right next to the business center. In the Resident Lounge: There is also a great coffee machine in the lobby that I have used very often - especially on the weekends. They also have a large TV and pool table - I can't speak to it, as I have never used it - but I do see it used often. Tables/couches are also provided in the lounge which is great for studying, working, etc. Echelon also has a parking garage available for residents whom own cars - very convenient and there are always spots available. Both reserved and open parking spots are available. Echelon is also very close to lots of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. - and within walking distance of Blue Line, Merchandise Mart, Randolph Street. They also have a great little park/green space right next to the building. Overall, great place to live and would recommend to anyone looking for convenience. read more

Of the many places I've toured in the area, this leasing staff were the friendliest and most open to my many questions without putting pressure to sign right away. The move in process was seamless. I've honestly loved living at Echelon, and the only reason I'm moving out is to be closer to a new job I just got. The staff is super friendly and very responsive, along with the maintenance staff, who fixes even minor things very promptly. The building is kept in great condition and is well taken care of, which is quite nice to come home to. I lived in a studio and the layout was pretty spacious. I loved how quiet the building generally is and I very rarely heard my neighbors. Management also regularly organizes social events for residents, which is a very nice perk and a great way to meet the neighbors. Location is great, with a huge Jewel just across the street and just a few blocks from several CTA lines. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better living experience and I hope the next building I live in will be like this one. read more

The 24 hour concierge is very friendly and attentive, helping me into the lobby as I finagled a small dog carrier (two dogs: Franny and Zooey, rescues of course) into the lobby. My friend lent me his keys so I take the elevator up and let myself into his place. The view is of downtown Chicago at night, nestled in between the skyscrapers, a direct view to the Chicago river below and its overarching bridges. I set the carrier down and take it all in. The private pool is illuminated, and the water is still and placid, even on a warm summer night, the color of the water that perfect sea-foam green. I love the built-in cabinetry and the layout adheres to a philosophy of architectural efficiency. All of the appliances are stainless steel, meaning clean up will be easy and any germs can be neutralized without any worry of seepage. The walls are extra thick, meaning no one can hear the dogs yapping as I let them out, Franny and Zooey sniffing the boots that I've just changed into. I wonder how sound proof the floors are. read more

Amazing Customer service. The friendliest staff ever. I first worked with Missy. She is absolutley great and the most patient person I have ever met. She answers all your questions and can go over the details like a million times. She always answer the phones when you need them, which is very resonable considering the amount of people they have every day. Mona was really good too when I toured with her the second time. They were pretty flexible and can work with our schedules. I definitley recommend talking to her even if you are looking for something in future. They can always work out a flexible lease and move in dates if you just ask. The apartments are pretty close to West loop and is at a safe neighbourhood. They follow a decent process to make the residents secure so, you know everyone living there is definitley checked up. Must visit if you are finding a place close to L and West loop. - Sue read more

Great location - Walking distance to/from River North, West Loop and Loop (includes both Metra Stations at Union and Ogilvie), giving you access to tons of bars, restaurants and lounges. 90/94 is very accessible. Unless you like stress, I would stay far away. A/C breaks every 1-2 weeks during the summer. Heat did not work during the 2019 polar vortex. Ice maker had to be serviced about 15 times in 1 year. They rent out your parking space during the day to commuters, so if you return before 5:00 pm, you cannot park in the lot you pay for. The apps and electronic notification systems they use also rarely work properly. The new management that came in about 1 year ago is terrible. After several years of living here, I finally had to leave because it is so bad. read more

Lived here during my one and a half years in Chicago for work. Would highly recommend! As a single, thirty-something woman the neighborhood and building can't be beat. Steps away from River North and Randolph St area for a million bar and restaurant options. I always felt safe and the building is well-kept up. Maintenance guys are phenomenal (never lived anywhere with such responsive, speedy work) and the concierges are great as well. Very impressed by office staff too. Great new gym which I used all the time, and the pool in the summer is best in the area. I could see the one for Alta from my window and there was a lot of "riff raff" partying day and night there. If your scene is more "newspaper and a glass of rose" then Echelon is for you. I hope you enjoy as much as I did! read more

This is a brand new building developed for rental. Its poor construction is truly felt during cold winter nights when you can feel the draft through the windows. It doesn't help that the sales people do not tell you that the heating is NOT included in the rent. They tell you that gas, cable, internet are all included, which leads one to simply assume that heating is gas. That is until you get your first monthly electric bill. Also, the lounge is often taken up by the janitors either watching TV on their own or talking on cellphones. The gym is really cramped and the machines are often broken. The parking structure is covered but not indoor. Again, poor construction has number of pipes leaking in the parking area, which freezes vast amount of floors. It is in a good location: Green and pink lines are 3 blocks away and the Blue line is also 3 blocks away the opposite way. Two bus lines nearby and Jewel is right across the street. Is it worth the high rent? I looked at five buildings in the area and, if I knew what I know now, Echelon at K would have been the third instead of my first choice. read more

First I should say I lived in this building for 2 years and am a realtor in Chicago. First I will start off by saying the building staff is probably one of the nicest in the city. From the front office right down to the engineers they go out of their way and are very easy to talk with. The building it self is priced very well for the market and it's layouts in the location they are in. With that being said the only negatives I see would be the gym could be a little bit larger with newer equipment and all units should have hardwood and they should get rid of the all the carpet. The only reason we moved is because we wanted to try something new. read more

She is cheerful, friendly and straightforward in her dealings. I highly commend her on her thorough professionalism. b) The leasing process itself is very simple. I spoke to Illana R, set up a viewing, did a quick walkthrough and signed the lease. Pros: a) Echelon at K-station is very close to the Blue line Grand station (8 minute walk). It is also right off Exit 51B (Randolph street exit - that goes West ONLY). If you are taking 90-East from the suburbs towards Chicago,take Exit 51B, right onto Randolph, right onto Halstead, go past Lake, right onto Fulton, left onto Desplaines - you have arrived at Echelon. It is right opposite to the Jewel Osco (another stellar convenience). Cons: a) The occasional dog-poop sighting. read more

I have recently moved into Echelon at KStation and have had a tremendous experience thus far. Matt from the leasing office was extremelely helpful with coordinating the move prior to my occupancy date by providing timely responses to items such as cable installation, freight elevator reservations, utility packages, etc. On the date of the move-in Ashley from the front desk was also very helpful. Echelon's direct access to the freight elevators and ability to back a moving truck into the loading dock located next to the freight elevators, allowed for a quick and efficient unload. Further, the amenities of the building are terrific (pool, lounge, fitness, billiards, conference facility, terrace etc.). The fitness room is high-end and is never crowded. Each cardio machine has a personal hdtv that you can plug your headphones into. The parking garage is not crowded as well and reasonably priced. The pool has a great view of the sky-line facing southeast. The unit itself is spacious and is virtually sound proof with great views and natural light. The utility package includes utilities, cable and internet , so the space is basically plug & play. I had my apartment up and running day 1. The gas range is a plus and having a garbage disposal in Chicago is a difference maker in addition to the in-unit W/D. Other advantages are, proximity to Jewel, restaurant row and the freeway. I love living in this building! It is close to work, and close to more restaurants and bars then I'll ever be able to go to in my lifetime. Location: Excellent - Within walking distance of a lively west loop nightlife, cta (blue line - Grand stop), & grocery store Building: New amenities & plush carpet stand out first. Breathtaking views from all floors... Full gym and pool (actually useable & does not get overwhelmed in summer), never have to wait long for elevators on high floors. Little to no sound travels between rooms Process/customer service: Ilana & Melissa in the main office are extremely pleasant & knowledgable of the building & neighborhood happenings. Always greeted with a smiling face & helpful insight. Never once hesitated to ask about anything, as some front office folk you feel like you are bothering them, not at Echelon... Just moved out of the Echelon a month or so ago, what a great place. It was our first place in Chicago when we moved from DC a year ago. It's in a really good location - nothing steps away, but everything is just a short walk. We were on the 37th floor, corner unit with little balcony and had amazing views of the downtown skyline. The amenities are fantastic - gym, pool, business center, 24-hour concierge, lounge, dry cleaning - and the staff is remarkable. The leasing agents (Ilana and Melissa) are awesome and the engineers/maintenance (Brooks, Cuvo and Elliott) are always responsive to any issues going on in the unit. The front desk staff is also really really good. The building is kept very clean around the clock. I would definitely recommend this building. read more

I've been living in Echelon at K Station for the past year and I have found it to be exceptional. All of the staff are extremely friendly and reliable. Taking care of maintenance and other living issues have always been quick, easy, and efficient. Given the proximity to downtown and the west loop I find the price to be very fair compared to other properties in the area. The furnishings are comfortable and new with reliable range, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The granite counter tops are also a nice touch. As of December 2015 we no longer have cleaning services in the building. That was a really great convenience, but there are at least 3 places within a one block radius. A few reservations I have that do not really impact my living situation but make this property a bit inconvenient: They have been redoing the facade for almost 8 months. Work has only occurred on a handful of days, yet the ugly scaffolding has stood the entire time blocking the entrance (and the building number). It is an eyesore. The pool is busy busy busy during the summer. The space is somewhat small given the units in the building and everyone seems to bring large quantities of friends. As a leasee I think I reserve the right to at least one space to be comfortable. I would highly recommend this building to anybody looking in the area. read more
