I have been living here for close to a year and absolutely love it! This is the best I could have asked for when I moved to Chicago from India. The location, building, amenities, and service is just amazing. All units have a big balcony and wall to ceiling windows. The building is fairly well maintained and has a responsive staff. There is 24-hour front desk security, so felt very safe coming in during late hours. There is in-unit W/D, separate thermostats for each room, and quick package delivery from the front desk staff. Hence, it was really convenient and comfortable to live here. The lobby, gym, party area, and the patio adds to the charm. The building is extremely pet friendly with a nice pet walking area right adjacent to our place. There are some nice bars and restaurants such as Carnivale etc. right next door. Jewel Osco, starbucks, chase bank, hair salon are within a 5 min walking distance. If you are looking for a place in West loop, do consider this hidden gem! Vacating this place after a year on account of some personal reasons, but would love to come back here. Will miss the few amazing friends I met here :) read more

You will never find a nicer group of people than the ones who work here. From the front desk to the maintenance staff, I felt like family when I lived at Trio. If ever there was a maintenance issue, someone was around that day or the next day to handle it. The residents were always friendly, too. I took major advantage of the free Starbucks machine and the gym downstairs. My unit was extremely spacious; the bathroom was especially nice. I miss that shower immensely. The balconies are also really large, and I liked being able to look out over the West Loop and highway at night. The location is really great if you like to eat out. It's very close to Jewel and close enough to a Whole Foods. There is a CycleBar and Ohm Culture Yoga in the area. Sometimes the dog run area outside gets smelly in the summer, but that was my only irritation. If you want to live in the West Loop, you can get a really good deal here. We only moved because we missed the greenery of Lincoln Park and we like to move every 12-16 months anyway to change things up. read more

So this company claims to accept voucher holders but honestly speaking I think they just say that just so that they can look like an upstanding management company when I went to this management company to look at the apartments they were highly rude they questioned me repeatedly about who will be living with me even though it would just be my children and I, I felt as if they do not like to rent to African Americans or any minorities other than Caucasian I totally would not recommend this building I feel as if that they need to expand their renters possibilities instead of just keeping it to strictly one racial profile group read more

I lived in the high rise and one of the condo buildings for a combined three years and have been happy with the entire experience. In particular, I'm a big fan of the staff -- the property manager, handymen, and doormen are all top notch and have been super accommodating to me and my family. Everything was super easy and I found that the tenants with issues were typically younger renters, while the more stable residents of the building were a little older. In all I would highly recommend adding Trio to your list of possible buildings. read more

I've lived in Chicago for 5 years. During this time, I have lived in 3 different high-rises downtown. Any negative reviews on Trio must be from rookies whom have never lived in the city, or any Chicago high-rise for that matter. This building is fantastic, and extremely competitive on rent with similar buildings in the area. I'm confused by a prior review, as I've lived in the building since Jan 2015, and have always been in possession of a fob key. The doors are always secure, and guests can call you via the video-call intercom system. I have yet to use the video-call app though, as the front desk has always been attended, 24 hrs a day. One of the biggest advantages Trio has is that it was originally built to be condos, so every unit is designed with much higher quality materials than any apartment I looked at or have lived in. There's 16" of concrete between each floor, which translates to zero noise from my neighbors. The hardwood floors are REAL and virtually indestructible, unlike the cheap laminate flooring in my old high-rise, that chips and dents because it's really just glorified cardboard. The balconies are so big I could do cartwheels on them! A 30-34' private balcony is unheard of in downtown apartments! Another thing; you can absolutely control the air in your unit, as my unit has 2 thermostats. Veteran tenants of Chicago high-rises understand that building managers can't easily switch 2 pipe heating & cooling systems back and forth, to satisfy the erratic temperature changes Chicago is known for having. It takes a good 2 days for the system to switch between cooling & heating, but this is the case for 99% of all downtown high-rises. This is not unique to Trio, and they do their best to listen to the residents during the change in seasons. Overall, my experience at Trio has been great. The manager has always been helpful and prompt in correspondence, and the maintenance and door staff are all awesome. I go home to walk my dog each day during lunch, and there are cleaning staff vacuuming each floor like clockwork. I feel like I could go on, but I assume Yelp has a character limit on reviews. Update to my review from 3-years ago. Amazing how time flies & my update is long overdue! I can say that over the past 2-3 years, property management has done a really good job of making things better. In response to my original experience, Village Green DID refund me for the tow. Over the past couple of years, the building has been renovated. There was work done to the main entrance, gym and party room. The colors are more uplifting and you can really appreciate the space. We have door staff that were above and beyond professional, courteous and as a dog owner -they honestly would keep an eye for me late at night. The property manager and his team work hard to address concerns and issues in a timely manner. Having said that, my experience from 3-years ago has certainly changed! As easily as I can share constructive feedback, I'm always open to providing positive experiences as well. Pros: - Location: literally within walking distance of restaurant row on Randolph. Easy access to CTA bus and train line. - Unit size: love my walk in closet. Two bedroom unit that is almost too big for me. Hardwood floors. Really good natural light. - Property: Door staff (concierge). Adjacent to a small puppy play-lot. Everyone is really friendly Cons: - Location: A lot of homeless/transients because the city just opened an SRO a couple blocks away. If that's something that you're not comfortable with - but it comes with living in the city. - Puppy play-lot: It's wonderful and incredibly convenient. Unfortunately, not all dog owners pick up after their pooches. - We had 24/7 door staff and that is being reduced to overnight coverage and the weekends with the office covering during the day time. I consider it a con only because I will (and have) missed the the people. read more

I recently sold my condo and was looking to move into an apartment with condo-quality finishes, great amenities, helpful service, central location, etc. I feel like I found all of those things at Trio. The rental rates are a bit higher than some other apartments I looked at, but I feel like you get what you pay for. The units are beautiful. Soundproofing was also important to me, and I've never heard any of my neighbors. Speaking of neighbors, everyone I've encountered is very friendly -- the same goes for the staff, too. The management was very helpful when I was looking to rent an apartment, and since I've moved in, the service has continued at the same level. They'll even feed/walk your pets when you go out of town. The gym is adequate for a building this size and I use it a few times a week. It's not East Bank Club or anything, but if that's more your style it's only a few blocks away. The parking facility is nice. Each space has a concrete-mounted rack for two bicycles, which is great. Also, each apartment comes with it's own storage space -- no need to rent anything extra. I'm very happy at Trio and am glad I chose it as my home. read more

There are some crazy reactions on here. I am going on my second year living here and love it. There is new management, so I can't speak for them (yet), but the staff is fantastic. Everyone who works there knows your name. Maintenance requests are fulfilled mostly within 24 hours. I have never had to wait more than 48 hours for anything. The gym is fantastic, so much so I cancelled my membership. My ONLY complaint is that the new management is now charging for storage. However, if that is the only thing I can find to complain about, I think I have it pretty good. There are no "ghetto" families living in the penthouses. I have never smelled pot nor have I ever seen a drug bust. Mostly I have seen 30-something couples and small families. read more

Awesome new buliding on the South side of Milwaukee that is close to the nightlife. I had absolutely zero problems with management and it was pretty safe to live there. Meg, the assistant property manager was very nice, helpful and courteous and she always helped out when I needed the help. As a person with a disability many times I lost items outside in the parking lot and she would come to my room and deliver them to me. Residents are pretty nice and quiet. The apartment itself was rather spacious for a studio and a balcony for the price. I would definitely refer my friends and family over to them as it is a nice gem in the city. read more

This place only has 2.5 stars? Well, that's just crazy. I've been living here for 6 months. It is a great location in the West Loop - a couple of blocks from all the restaurants and nightlife on Randolph, but tucked away on a low-lying street that doesn't get a lot of traffic. The dog park is great, the sidewalks were well maintained in the winter. I've only had very minor maintenance issues, but they've all been handled quickly and professionally. The front desk staff are some of the nicest people that I've ever met. Rent is a little steep, but that's sort of life in the West Loop - if you want cheap rents, it isn't the neighborhood that you go to. The places are beautiful (hardwood floors, nice tiling in the bathrooms, lots of cabinet space in the kitchen) and I've had none of the negative experiences that some other reviewers listed - I've never seen or smelled drugs and never seen an arrest in 6 months. It is a very pet-friendly place - which is great for us (we have a dog and a cat) but if you are allergic, may not be the place for you. My only complaints are minor - I wish they could do something about move-in elevators - there are only two elevators in the building and when someone has one tied up moving in or out, the waits can be long (usually on weekends.) I wish that they would use pet-safe ice melt around the dog park - the salt that they use hurts my dog's feet in the winter. I also dislike the new package delivery system - they put in some sort of iPad app that was supposed to speed up the process, but it seems like all that it does is slow the staff down. Finally, I'm a big DirecTv fan and I think the annual charge that is lopped on top of your bill by the third party that owns rights to DirecTv is pretty oppressive. All-in-all, great place to live and plan to renew my lease when it comes up this winter if the rent increase is reasonable. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the staff at Trio Apartments. We went on a tour at Trio in early June of 2017 and I will say, the apartment units are beautiful. My boyfriend and I expressed this to the leasing agent, and he called us the next day notifying us that an apartment during our move in date was open. We jumped on this unit immediately and I even drove 2 hours home to grab a personal check and apply for the unit in person (there was a $100 application fee and another $500 dollar fee). This is my first time renting, although it was not my boyfriends, and I was convinced that this was a first come first serve type of deal. We had no doubt in our minds that we were getting the apartment since Noah Kunstler (the leasing agent) reassured us that we qualified. The next day, my boyfriend was traveling back home to Mississippi and the leasing agent asked for proof of income. Due to my boyfriend driving home (mind you, it is a 13 hour drive) we were unable to gather his documents for proof of income that day. I sent in the documents the very next day (a 6 month summary of income because he had not been working at his new job for an entire year) and the leasing agent informed me the income wasn't sufficient and that it didn't show that our combined income was 3x that of the rent for the entire year (80k). As I previously mentioned, he ONLY showed 6 months (keep in mind, we talked to the leasing agent beforehand he said that it would be acceptable) and within that 6 months my boyfriend has made nearly 60k, well over the amount needed in a six month period of time, yet the leasing agent continued to insist that it was not sufficient. We later found out that the unit had been put back on the market that day and rented out. I am convinced that because we were not able to provide income documents the very next day due to commuting reasons that Trio put the unit back on the market and sold it before we could even provide the documents necessary. Not only has this process been disheartening and outright ridiculous, the application fee of $100 is non-refundable and I have yet to see the $500 refundable check and it has been over 4 weeks. The leasing agent originally said that it should be here in 2. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise, but if this is how Trio treats qualified potential residents, then I can only imagine how they treat actual residents. Regardless, I hope that this is a lone instance and no one else experiences this. read more

We've lived in a 2 bedroom at Trio for almost a year now, and we have zero plans of moving out in the next few years. This building is truly a hidden gem among so many buildings in the area that we looked at. Some things I like about Trio: 1. Friendly animal residents who love being petted in the elevator. 2. Friendly human residents and staff. People always telling you to have a nice day! Never had that at our old high rise. Also it is very easy to retrieve packages and the front door staff is there 24/7. I feel very safe. 3. Not located on a busy street, super thick walls, generally very very quiet. Can never hear neighbors. Can vaguely hear a dog or sirens from highway every once in a while. 4. Great common area and pretty good gym - smallish gym but it has everything you need. 5. Complimentary Starbucks coffee in lobby is AMAZING. 6. Apartment itself is spacious, has beautiful finishes, and perfect amount of cabinets, closets, and storage space. But if you need more, you can rent out an additional storage space in the basement. 7. Enclosed secure garage so my car is safe and doesn't freeze outdoors in the cold Chicago winters. 8. Floor to ceiling windows in our corner unit so the sunlight and the VIEWS are amazing!!!! Balcony is one in a million in Chicago (30 feet long) and the double sliding doors that open to it are awesome for summer nights. 9. Maintenance staff is incredible. If something is broken they will fix it so quickly. 10. Easy access to Jewel, restaurants, Starbucks, pet store, nail salon, etc. Can access by a short walk. I'm sure there are more points that I am missing but this place has been unbeatable. Trio makes a great place to call home! read more

Staff is super friendly and helpful, location is excellent, apartment in general and units are very well keep and maintain. The maintenance staff is very responsive and gets things done quickly. My housemate and I lived at Trio from April 2012 - Sept 2014 in the 650 W Wayman building on the first floor near the garage. The reason for this two star review is an incident that I feel Village Green management never resolved satisfactorily. On February 13, 2014 at about 2 a.m., I had SEWAGE BACKUP in my bathtub. The reason for this sewer backup was a clog in the branch drainpipe. Maintenance responded promptly and had the problem resolved the next day. I stayed home from work the day of the incident because I hadn't slept all night. Maintenance and the plumber were able to resolve the sewer backup incident by the afternoon. Trio Maintenance staff do a good job -- Dave fixed several different problems with our apartment during the two years and four months that my housemate and I lived at Trio. My dissatisfaction is with Trio Village Green management (was Marquette management before transition to Village Green). If I were reviewing Trio management alone, I would rate Trio with 1 star. After the sewer backup incident, I asked on several occasions to receive some compensation for the psychological stress this incident caused me. The part that unnerves me most is the fact that I most likely was showering in dilute sewer backup water for about 1-2 weeks prior to the much more obvious backup incident. The tub was not draining well during the showers I took about 2-3 weeks prior to the incident at 2 a.m. I knew the tub was not draining well during my showers (wasn't sure why, maybe a hair clog??), but I didn't realize the situation was as serious as it was. After follow-up with Trio management on multiple occasions, I got absolutely nowhere. At the time, I believe my housemate and I were paying between $2,100-2,200 in rent per month. I pushed for some monetary compensation (i.e., some reduction in our month's rent) for the sewer backup incident. Trio provided NO compensation for the incident. No one should have to pay $2,200 in rent for an apartment with a sewer backup problem. Period. The sewer problem was not even the first problem that my housemate and I had experienced while living there. When we first moved in, my housemate and I discovered that the master bedroom closet had a substantial leak that was apparent with the first heavy rain event. The light fixture in the closet literally filled with water. After which, I promptly turned off the light in the closet. After the sewer incident in Feb. 2014, another ceiling leak was discovered above the washer/dryer, which also required repair. Several problems with the first floor apartment where my housemate and I lived. Management never provided ANY compensation for the maintenance problems experienced. read more

Some pretty crazy overreactions by the reviewers ahead of me. Yes, they have a small dog park. It's nothing to get excited about, but it's aesthetically pleasing. There is no "section 8 housing" anywhere near Trio. I have smelled smoke on the elevators, but nothing to complain about. My biggest complaint is the stench around the building from the 100s of dogs, but you know that when you move in - it is a dog neighborhood. Other than that, the rent prices are fair for the near-loop location, and I've never had any flooding/liability issues. The management is very friendly - the front desk staff remembers your name, the maintenance staff checks out any request within a few hours, and I've had no trouble with the leasing office. The units are absolutely beautiful and the appliances are great. The location is incredible - 10-15 minute walk to the loop, 6 minute walk to the L, 10 minute walk to Ogilvie, 15 minute walk to Union Station, and about a 30 second walk to Jewel-Osco. Overall, the rent is on the high end, but in my mind, you get what you pay for. read more

Well besides the crazy rental prices which we wish we had paid for at one of the other buildings in the area and would have gotten a pool and better gym. Lived there for 2 years. We're told when we moved in the dog park would be avaliable soon. Let's say the park opened the day we moved out. They over promised and under delivered. BIGGEST issue was we got water in our storage unit in the basement. Renters insurance they recommended and their insurance wouldn't cover even though it was their poor building construction!!! So don't put anything valuable down there. Needless to say we'd say rent somewhere else. Watch out they just out and out lie. Loved that continental breakfast they promised too... read more

I have enjoyed living here for the last 2 years. The office, door and maintenance staff are the friendliest I've met during my last 12 years living in Chicago high-rise apartments. They offer online conveniences for paying rent and submitting service requests that are usually resolved within 24 hours. My dog loves my apartment even more than I do, and the access to a grassy park/dog area right outside our door makes the apartment even better. Moved into Trio back in late Fall from River North. Here's my pros so far: 1) It's quiet! No sirens in the middle of the night. No screaming drunk idiots. And the apartments are extremely soundproof. I never hear my neighbors. 2) The location is great. Right behind a huge grocery story, near public transit, close to the action in west loop, the loop, and river north. 3) Main areas of the building are spotless. 4) The leasing office staff and door staff are always friendly and helpful! 5) The renovations of the gym, club room, and lobby areas are beautiful! Worth the wait. 6) May I also add that the elevator "door close" button is very response!? Haha Long story short, I love living at Trio. read more

I've just signed up for my 3rd year at Trio (1 bed + den setup) and really love it - dog friendly, good amenities, huge bathrooms - only downsides in our layout are 1) kitchen counterspace is a bit sparse and 2) closets are a little on the small side. But overall this is a great building in the incredible Fulton Market neighborhood and we have loved the quality of service - service requests are usually completed within 1 day or so and management does a great job communicating with the tenants. Very highly recommend for anyone in Chicago, 15 minute walk to the Loop. read more

There are numerous reviews of Trio on this website and most of them reflect my experience at Trio. First we moved in without every being told about construction and construction related noise. While it looks like the construction may soon be over, at least for now, the sound from construction was often very loud and often occurred at hours that were unacceptable! I've lived at Trio for almost two years, and the staff, starting with the management, has always been quick to respond to any and all questions and requests. Jorge is a total professional, and always ready to assist. The door men/women are courteous and helpful. There are on-sight handymen who can, will, and do, fix ANYTHING; my garbage disposal died. It was fixed within 12 hours. Free of charge. Jo, in particular, is not only handy, but a great guy, and a good neighbor. Trio is on a quiet street, that is literally only two blocks long, with a great park to the west, which dog lovers will appreciate. It's a quiet place in the middle of a bustling city. Located in the Fulton Market neighborhood, every amenity can be had within a one mile radius (literally a 20 minute WALK anywhere). There is a Jewel-Osco behind the Trio complex, should you decide to cook instead of dine out. I landed at Trio at a rough phase of my life, and I am glad I did. It feels like home. read more

Let me start by saying that the older reviews of this place are crazy, obviously a lot has changed in the past two years. I would NEVER give Trio a 1-star review. PROS: 1. The apartments are huge, modern, and just generally beautiful. We live in a a one bedroom. The walk in closets are giant, we have over 800 sq ft of living space, and a balcony that spans the entire west side of our unit. We looked at every building in the Fulton Market area, this is by far the best bang for your buck. 2. The gym is actually really nice, and there is never anyone in there. No, we don't have a pool, but its Chicago, you're paying for a pool that you probably only get to use 3 months out of the year. If you need a pool, try the FFC on Clinton or the East Bank Club. 3. The management and door staff are wonderful. The management changed recently and we lost a lot of our door staff with them (pour one out for my boy Carlos). But we kept the same maintenance crew (always responds within 24 hours) and our most knowledgeable door person, Bridgette. Jorge, the new property manager, has been a wonderful replacement for Garrett. 4. It's quiet. We live next to a stairwell so we don't get any noise on that side. We have NEVER heard any noise from our upstairs, downstairs, or next door neighbor. Our next door neighbor had a dog that yapped non-stop, once you entered our apartment you couldn't hear him at all. The sound proofing is impressive. 5. It smells like chocolate. The Blommer Chocolate Factory is a block away, people always ask if I'm baking brownies. CONS: 1. It is an extremely dog friendly building and area. On hot summer days, the pet waste stench is strong. I've also stepped in dog poop on more than one occasion. You can't really fault Trio for that, you've got to blame inconsiderate pet owners that don't clean up after their dogs. 2. It's hard to find. Wayman is a tiny street, be prepared to give people detailed instructions. I've had UBER drivers that couldn't even locate the building on GPS. read more

I have lived at Trio only since September 2012, making me one of the longest term tenants (that should tell you something as people normally don't stay here very long) I am only giving 1 star because of the property management situation, failure to follow rules by residents/lack of enforcement by management and lack of security. However, the apartment I lived in (03) tier was quite nice and very noise resistant. The gym is OK but I have seen much better at other buildings. 1. Management Company - Village Green is the worst. They must think that having promotional events on the property substitute for competent management. They are constantly changing the resident portal, the on-site manager is basically clueless in how to manage a "luxury" building of this type in downtown Chicago, and his assistant is downright rude. The hallways are not attended daily as paper and other waste can be seen in the hallways quite often, much of it from trivial announcements from management. Of course, when an important announcement needs to be made, no notice is given (carpet cleaning of hallways, painting of lobby, etc.). There continues to be hot water issues during off-peak hours. It can take 30 minutes of running the shower in order to get more a than luke warm water. 2. Rule enforcement - There is supposedly a 70 pound limit for dogs. This is not enforced by management. Also, management allows more than 1 dog per apartment so if you want to live next to someone who has free-spirited, noisy dogs who are allowed to run through the hallways, this is the place for you. 3. Lack of security - Management advertises 24 hour security. This is patently false. At least one-third of the time you arrive at the building or come down to the lobby, there is no one at the reception desk as management has assigned other duties to the door person which pull them away from the desk. Also, the door person will leave for lunch/dinner or to have a smoke, leaving the desk unattended. People walk in with others and gain access to the building without any questions being asked. This would be mitigated if management installed a key fob system for all floors on the elevators and stairways. Currently, only the penthouses have this functionality. C'mon, this is 2015 and this technology is widely used at other buildings! All in all, I would recommend prospective tenants to look elsewhere in the West Loop (there are quite a few nearby buildings that present better value) and only consider this building as a fall back alternative. read more

I moved to Trio last January and have had nothing but a great experience so far. I've lived in a few different Chicago neighborhoods (Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Old Town, and now the West Loop), and this neighborhood has been my favorite BY FAR. You're minutes walking distance from the hottest restaurant hub in the city on Fulton Market and Randolph. There is so much to do around here for those who like to go out and try new places! Trio is nestled right behind Carnivale, above the best Jewel in the city (also Chase bank and Starbucks there too!), and right along 90, so it's super convenient to commute from- just a minute onto the highway from out of the garage. Speaking of the garage- the parking spots are also spacious, and a heated garage is a rare find in the city. Monthly parking is incredibly cheap for city parking, and they also offer guest parking in the same garage. The building is also top-notch in terms of apartment quality. First of all, it was built to be condos, so all of the apartment finishes are high-end, and the space that you get for the price is unbeatable- especially for this location. We have a 2 bed/2 bath and have more room than we know what to do with. Our balcony is probably 30 feet long- you could play corn-hole out there- no joke. The closets are huge, both bathrooms are full-sized with a shower, and we have in-unit laundry. You cannot find a better deal in the area- trust me, I did my research prior to moving to the West Loop. I would never dream of leaving now that we found this secret spot, and can't believe that they're able to offer such competitive pricing. They also just renovated the amenities and they are BEAUTIFUL. There is a new party room/lounge with 2 TVs and fireplaces, demonstration kitchen, and plenty of space to hang out with friends. The fitness center was also just re-done with all new equipment, including 4 treadmills, ellipticals, and really nice Precor machines. No need to get a gym membership! Management is super friendly and easy-going, and the door staff is also a nice touch. Our neighbors are all very friendly and seem to be a respectful crowd, which is great because we're never bothered by obnoxious noise. They are also dog-friendly, and there's a pretty nice little park right out the door where I see tons of dogs playing each other all day and night while running on the treadmill in the fitness center! Also, the building is a 2-pipe system, so you CAN control your heat and AC in your own apartment- this just means that they only offer heat OR AC- depending on the season. This is Thanks pretty common in the city, as most buildings were built before 4 pipe systems were established. It's really not a big deal so I'm surprised this many people have mentioned it. This is standard, and we've never been uncomfortable with the temperature. It's mild. Overall, we hope to stay at Trio as long as our city careers will allow us! I have referred so many friends to this building in hopes that they can have as great of a time as we are here, and everyone seems happy to call this place home! Been at the Trio for over 2 years and as with any apartment building in a big city there are ups and downs. After reading the other reviews I thought I would share my experience to add it to the mix. First off I don't own pets so the whole dog park issue is of no concern to me. The fact there is even a park at all, which is well designed and enjoyable to visit, is just an added bonus. I think its obvious if they let the dogs have the park it would end up being a little box as there are plenty of dog owners who don't care about cleaning up after their beloved pet. If they let people play football on it as someone else wrote, it would get torn up. It's a small gem of a park that gives you a nice place to be outside, and there is a fenced in area just for your dog -- all positives, right? Regarding the other points. I do think anywhere you live in this city you will encounter residents trying to get by, get away with, and not follow the rules, whether its parking, pot, loud music, etc. I DO think, the management listens to the residents and whenever I have had an issue, it was addressed. They pay close attention and genuinely seem to care. I get just as pissed when people who think the entire building is just theirs and they obviously could care less about anyone else, and act as if the rules don't apply to them. They do, and management does address issues when you bring it up. I always have put it in writing, so maybe that's why my experience was different that some others. Yes there is no pool, but it's Chicago, who cares about a pool? The gym is great and doesn't need to be more than it is. Rooftop patio is a plus too. This place has a lot working professionals living here, not people right out of college, which I think is worth knowing. Area is safe, great restaurants, close to the trains, etc. You can have either Comcast or ATT .net service (which is great) as many other buildings use 3rd parties and have terrible quality of service. I've met people living in other places with 3rd party .net providers and they can't even use Netflix. But, they have a pool. I have a storage unit and have renters ins. with State Farm, and have not had issues but I do know my items are covered even with water damage. Could just be my policy compared to others. I did do my homework and simply asked my agent what was covered, scenarios, etc. before I committed to the coverage. Build quality is very high. How about 18" concrete floors. You never hear noise from above or below AND that means you can use your surround sound and not bother others. I have a parking spot and loved that it is assigned and the garage is heated. I can't imagine living anywhere and having to park on the street. I do prefer to be in the same building and pay a bit more than use the option across the street. But I think its nice that you DO have another option across the street if you like. The support staff are about as rare as you can get. They care, they listen, and have a good sense of humor. I feel like trio is trying to take advantage of us. Our lease ends on may 9th they say. And they are trying to increase our rent by 25% and extend it until June 9th. This will cost me an extra 800 dollars. Very shady. read more

I moved into Trio Apartments about six months ago and have had nothing but good experiences. The management team and front desk are always very nice and friendly. All service requests are done super quick. The area is quiet and beautiful. I couldn't ask to live in a better part of the city! read more

I have lived in one of the 3BR penthouses for 2 years and just renewed for another two. Our duplex floor plan is extremely rare in a high rise and is an amazing value for the finishes and location of the property. You can walk to just about any restaurant in West Loop and into River North as well. We have an amazing view and are in love with our place. Maintenance is extremely professional and responds within one day if not the same day to fix any issues that arise. Jorge Vaca the property manager is always accommodating whenever we have had any special requests and door staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet location in Fulton just steps away from the West Loop. read more

First and foremost, the service team is excellent. Every person goes above and beyond helping with even the tiniest detail. I was in the midst of a drastic life change when I moved in, and everyone helped to make the transition as smooth and stres-free as possible. Now that I'm in and settled, they continue to make me happy that I chose this location for my new home. My 2 dogs and I always feel safe and welcomed whenever we return home from our adventures. The building itself has much to offer; the units are well constructed and insulated - I never hear neighbors, never hear music or noise - I always feel as though I'm living in a stand-alone unit rather than a high-rise building. Attention to detail is incredible - even the tiniest issues logged in the resident portal always receive prompt attention. The ammenities such as workout room, entertainment area, free coffee and snacks, etc. are wonderful. Packages are securely held until I return home; when walking past many other residences in the neighborhood, packages are just laying on the floor of an unattended lobby. I never worry that I won't receive my deliveries - and prior to my move-in date packages were taken to my unit and neatly stored in my closet for me - I didn't even have to struggle to bring them up myself. I couldn't ask for friendlier or more attentive team members! The location is excellent - steps from dog parks, Jewel, restaurants, etc. Management continually hosts events for the building community, I hope that trend continues in the future. read more
