If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an appointment for a tour on may 4th at 4pm. When I arrived I was (not) welcomed by the rudest receptionist who seems to dislike people and her job. After touring the place being the bigger person I thanked her when exiting the building with 0 response. The sales personnel who showed me around was ok. View is really good. Building is smelly. I immediately decided not to rent here because of the female employee covering the reception on may 4th at 4.20 pm. read more

I have truly loved living at Cityfront Place for so many reasons! It's exactly like the pictures, everything is so new and clean, the amenities are amazing, and the view has to be my favorite part! They also organize fun community events and it's really made me feel like I found my home in Chicago. Living at Cityfront has been even better with how kind the front desk staff is, especially Kevin who always goes above and beyond to be so welcoming and friendly every time I see him! If you are considering Cityfront, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Address residents concerns and provide promised and advertised services. The new management didn't help a bit and all those pretty words are empty if you have any problem. This place charges very high "market" rent that includes amenities that don't work. The maintenance crew is top notch though! read more

Where do I begin? The worst of the worst! The bottom of the barrel folks! No room in the kitchen. Washer and dryer don't work! Heater and air conditioner don't function! Management is unresponsive and do absolutely nothing about any complaints nor do they ever return phone calls or messages left on their phones. The only positive feedback I can possibly conjure up is the location of the building but that's about it. No no and no! Thats a hard no from me! Run like your the last two monkeys boarding Noah's Ark and it's starting to rain! You've been warned by me! Enter this building at good own risk! Insects living in the bathrooms! Parking lot is oversold, we pay $240 per month and often you can not find a spot because the lot is taken up with daily parking from non-tenants Limited elevator capacity. 4 elevators but 1-2 are often having service performed or have been reserved by movers. Lines can stretch out of the door during certain busy hours. Air conditioning is blown through common hallways and rooms 24/7 so if outdoor temp is 50 Fahrenheit, it is often as cold in unit. Living in city front this past year has been a great experience through and through. The views from all apartments cannot be understated. The amenities floor is perfect for working out, studying, chatting over a cup of free coffee, or grilling out/throwing a small pool party! I've lived here for three months now and I absolutely love it. The people are friendly, the management is responsive, and the location can't be beat. I have an amazing view of the river (and the lake) and being one block away from Target is SO convenient. The building amenities are plenty, from free coffee in the morning, to fitness classes, and happy hours. A GREAT place to live! read more

I've lived in Cityfront for several years with little issue. However, the relatively new management has really deteriorated what service is. The door lady screamed at me on a Saturday afternoon for not using a FOB to get into the main door and refused to let me into the building. She then had the Asst. Manager, who appeared to have been at a resident party all afternoon, then told me that he didn't have time to deal with the issue now, and would speak to me Monday when he had more time. His solution was to just throw these signs up. When a buildings door person isn't letting residents in the door, there is an issue...sad, because could still be a great building to live in.... read more

From the second I entered the building it feels like home. Very warm and cozy. The staff is always helpful and attentative. They already have everything set once you come back to get the answers and things you need. Very friendly Management, Engineering team is awesome and conceirge has some of the sweetest people. I highly recommend living here for the things that matter but also for the beautiful location, events that are always being thrown to show the residents that they matter and they are always being thought about and the cleanliness that is always shown upon entrance of the building. Great place to live! The location is just fantastic, and the amenities are amazing too. I've really enjoyed my time here. However, please be careful with fees. They charged us an admin fee when we switched apartments, and never explained what that was for. Kind of a bummer to pay $300+ just to switch apartments within the same building. Been living here for almost 2 months now and can't complain - unbeatable views, top notch amenities, and such friendly staff!

This is not the place for young minorities, if you have a housing voucher, section8 voucher you are treated like trash, they make you feel belittled. The lady that takes care of the voucher holders is very disrespectful, she has broken several fair housing laws. I work in leasing and I've referred several voucher holders to this community and all of them have told the same story about this black young lady that makes them feel like they shouldn't even walk into the building with a section 8 voucher. The leasing staff is nice the door staff is nice also. It's very sad when you're trying to better yourself and the very person that's supposed to help you hinders you. I won't be sending nor referring anyone else to this community until they can get a better person to work with voucher holders. read more

I recently signed a lease and cannot wait to move in! The fitness center is huge and there is really functional equipment to get a good workout in which was a big reason why I leased at cityfront. Living on the river is going to be great during the summertime and it is walking distance to my boat slip. I love that that have cold storage for my meals I have delivered too! read more

Looks can be deceiving. This building has very bad ventilation and plumbing problems. Although I had a great view, cool address, great place to park my car, and an impressive concierge, this place was not worth my health nor is it worth anyone's. None of the toilets are sealed in the building. My toilet kept backing up and overflowing for the first few months then I realized it was not even sealed. It would move around on the floor and released gases. It took months till they would even take my complaint seriously. In the mean time I developed breathing problems from the poor ventilation. The internal fans suck all the air up the garbage shafts and into your apartment. There is no way to stop this airflow. I would vacuum and dust my apartment daily and still was left with fibers and dust on a daily basis. I had two hepa filters and two electrostatic filters. Even though I had a relatively small apartment, the filters could not keep up with the particulates that would continuously flood the apartment from the halway and garbage chute. I had a great 39th floor view too bad I was too ill to enjoy it most of the time. Please see the pictures of the 15 year old wax ring on my toilet that it took them three months to fix. (I placed the photo on the cityfront space not my personal photos.) Before they show an apartment here they use a spray to cover up the stink in the hallways and show you a model that is as far from the garbage chute as they can. Don't be decieved by this place. The staff in this building really make it home for me. I've lived here for a little over two months now and it's the best community I've ever been apart of. The door staff is very welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Precious is outstanding providing the best customer service and attention to detail. She's quick with requests and loves my puppy Teddy. Daniel, my leasing agent was phenomenal and went out of his way to help me find the perfect apartment for me! read more

I moved into Cityfront Place. About 6 months ago, and it has been a great experience so far! Its very walkable and in the heart of the city, but on a quiet dead end street. I love being able to walk my dog on the riverwalk and my one bedroom apartment has a perfect view of Lake Michigan. Highly recommend & so far the staff has been great! read more

Been a year since I moved here and it's been great. Great amenities, location, views, etc. Staff is amazing as well. I submitted a maintenance request yesterday afternoon and Ray was able to come the next day to fix the issue. He was super courteous and quickly fixed the problem. Love living here! read more

I toured Cityfront thinking I'd be moving from out of state but ended up staying out for a bit longer. I LOVED it here. The staff was super friendly, especially Dimitri! What really drew me was the indoor pet park for my dog. Super convenient during the cold weather! Hoping I can make my way to Chicago and move in here. read more

Front Office staff - 1/5 stars - poor communication, poor demeanor and attitude, customer service skills are significantly underperforming relative to peers in the Chicago market. I will not be renewing my lease solely on the basis of the actions and inactions of the front office staff. Please don't be convinced otherwise when you see a reply by the front office to this review asking me to call their office and looking to resolve any issues. That would merely be an attempt to appear customer service oriented. The reality is they ignore emails and calls when working directly with tenants and do not follow-through. Maintenance staff - 5/5 stars - if I could give them 10 stars I would. Responsive, quick to solve problems, great attitude. I can't speak highly enough of them Cleaning staff - 5/5 stars - very few interactions with them but I see them working and they do a great job. The times that I have said hello they were friendly Door staff - 5/5 stars - absolutely wonderful. 99% of the time will call prior to a delivery, remember faces and names and unit numbers, do the best job that can be done in the package room organizing and placing labels on return packages. James, in particular, is a gem and is significantly outperforming other door staff at buildings I have lived based on attitude, customer service and professionalism Location/views/unit - 5/5 stars - I love the building and the tenants and would have lived here longer if not for the front office staff read more

I lived in Cityfront for nearly five years. My apartment view of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River was wonderful, truly a gem of a find here in Chicago for the price point. I could even see the weekly summer fireworks from my window. Also, I was able to walk to work in the Loop in about 20 minutes, strolling along the river every day. The gym is great. Laundry room is great. What's unfortunate about Cityfront is that I was charged a few thousand dollars to move out because of an early termination fee, even when I offered to find a new tenant myself to establish a new lease. Yup... Several thousand. I was also charged a painting/damage fee on top of that amount already paid, even though the unit was going to be fully renovated anyway. Also, there was a roach issue in my bathroom last summer and the building was very slow in helping me. I had to spend the money to handle it myself quickly, and was never reimbursed... This is unfortunately probably pretty standard for a corporate apartment building (my first time renting in one). If I have to rent again in another city in the future, I'd definitely find a unit to rent from a private condo owner instead of a large company like this one... read more

I walked two miles to the viewing, sat down in her office, only for her to tell me "sorry next available is in August" a simple call would have sufficed so I didn't have to waste my time. read more

Cannot wait for my lease to be done - counting days..All praises and cudos to the maintenance crew, stellar front desk crew but the office "crew"....And even if you move in here, the parking part could be interesting - in my case, now it happens WEEKLY, my garage entry FOB DOES NOT WORK. There is a phone number I can call, but sometimes the wait is a bit longer and there are other cars behind me. Tried several times to get an explanation from I guess, a 'property manager' "Daniel" who responded once after a week, the second time he did not even bother to explain why is this happening...Nothing like a surprise coming back from work and you cannot drive in....And you send an email asking why....and no one respond or call...SO JUST BASED ON THE OFFICE 'CREW' ONE STAR FROM ME, I CANT WAIT TO LEAVE THIS PLACE JUST BE CAUSE OF YOU. O there is one more bit - they could not remove the former tenants pets from my lease?(how complicated that could be?) but I can tell you this - Buster the dog and Willow, the cat are best pets I EVER HAD - for over a year I did not feed them, did not even see them....(I like all animals, this is just a jab to the 'office crew' for failing all across the board and being THE ONLY REASON I AM LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE). read more

It's true about the horriable management mentioned below by others, you not just living for the building itself, but the management count for big credit. The management all Looks nice, however, if you experience a real problem in your unit such as curtain can't drop down window can't open wired smell from the fan tunnel or sick got stock, you will experienced the low efficient work of the management, and their "I dont care " attitude while they still looks nice and polite. Also, the saftty problem, the doorman really just let anyone get in without ask any questions or verify identity. Dry clean place here is such a pain in the ass, it's not just more expensive but also bad service by damage the customer's cloth, without even offer an apology. read more
