I read the reviews about the sewing center after I dropped off some pants to have altered this morning , And now i am tempted to go back and pick up I was greeted this morning with a really shit attitude sarcastic , pay first before the service is done , And like a D A i did These People just plain and simple dont care , I told her I would Bring in My Daughters Prom Dress , I am not after reading these helpful reviews that have been posted here by all these others , That have had bad experiences here At This So Called Sewing Center , Thats why she takes your money up front so she can swindle You Around Later , Thanks To All Those Of You who Wrote Revies About Her She Doesnt Deserve The Business , I hope more people will read these reviews before going there and get mistreated , By The Way I aint Ranking This Place not even 1 Star read more

I had a bad experience. I was scolded for not filling out a ticket more than my name and number, I promise that's all they asked for. They were a little chaotic and had trouble finding my dress, it was found of course I understand it's a busy time with prom..And my dress hem was $64...no rush...no beading...no high and low...just a simple hem. read more

I was recommended to this place from a friend of mine,I took one pair of pants on a Monday and asked her if she could have them ready by Thursday She said ​he could and Charged me up front for the service,I went back on Thursday for my pants and she acted liked she didn't remember me are what I took her,Bc she hasn't even done the alterations on my pants ,She said she would do them and have them ready for me when I got off at 6pm,She was gone by 6pm,I went back on Friday for my pants and she acted like she had forgotten she had even told me that she would wait,I will use this service again that was very unprofessional and she acted like she didn't care and just blew me off. read more

Customer service and politeness is very important to me, but it is clearly not important to The Sewing Center. When you arrive you will not be greeted or welcomed, but rather met with disdain and lackluster service. Then when you meet "Sasha", the seamstress, she will be either cordial or completely salty. I went one day and she said she would fix my item to fit me perfectly. She said she would not get to my item until Thursday and my event was on Saturday. I went back to check on my item on Thursday and I mentioned what she said days prior she would do and then she yelled "I didn't say that!!!" and became very unpleasant. I was uncomfortable by her attitude. Then she gave me the price, which was completely overpriced. I wanted to run out of there and take my dress, but there was a time issue involved at that point and couldn't take it anywhere else. Needless to say the item didn't fit as I had planned. I will not be back and I urge others not to, as well. There are many other shops deserving of business that know how to treat people and will do what you ask. read more

If there was an option to give it no stars, I would. I came in here for a prom dress alteration, what I thought would be a simple task of bringing in a bust and waist turned into a nightmare. The seamstress, insisted that my dress sat even with the top of my bra. I quickly corrected her, and explained that even if that's where it sat, I would not be allowed into my prom with that much cleavage. so we continued to mark where to hem, and bring in the dress. When I came back for my fitting the dress had been altered for how she wanted it to fit, and not how we had measured it. it was also two inches too short. (keep in mind that I went to have it altered in the same shoes I wore to try it on.) the dress had multiple stains and snags, which the seamstress blamed on me. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. read more

I had an awful experience with the sewing center! TERRIBLE. I walked into the store the day bliss set my appointment to get my wedding dress taken in, which was Wednesday, March 30, 2016. (The sewing center had my dress. Bliss sends it straight to them, so I had to go there to get my dress). I walked in, I wasn't greeted. The lady just immediately asked me "what is your name" so I told her, and I said I'm here to get my wedding dress altered from Bliss Bridal. They got my dress out, I put it on, and then stepped out for her to pin me. She was SO not worried about taking her time or making me feel comfortable. She pinned each side seam in about 2 inches..it took her 5 about minutes and then she slapped some (too big) bra cups in the dress and said "okay take it off". I still needed the straps taken up, the length, and the front area was still very loose. Also! The bustle was never mentioned. So, I changed and met her out front to make another appointment to try on what they were going to fix. First, she made me pay in advance of work I hadn't even seen! I did not like that. Then she asked when my wedding date was, I told her it was May 20, 2016 --she wrote down on her calendar to be COMPLETELY finished with the dress--the day I was going to pick it up on May 12, 2016. She then told me to come back in 2 weeks for another fitting. She specifically asked me Wednesday or Thursday which would be May 13th or 14th. I chose Thursday May 14th. She asked "what time" I said 9am and she said "no no no no I don't do mornings" so I said okay well 12:30? She okay-ed the time, and I left with a bad gut feeling leaving my dress there. But I was going to just pray about it and give them a chance because if bliss uses them, I figured they must be good at what they do... So two weeks had past, I went back for my "second fitting" and brought my soon to be mother in law with me. THANK GOODNESS I had a witness. Once again, no greeting. Just what's your name? I told her, she gave me a strange look and asked what color my dress was!! We said "it's white. It's a wedding dress." She fumbled through racks of clothes and finally found it and immediately starts almost yelling at us. "no no no May 12th!!" I said no ma'am, I was supposed to come back today to try on what work you've done so far. She unzips the bag and ZERO work had been done on my dress..the pins were still in it. I was shocked and yet happy because I knew I was just going to ask for my dress and leave. My soon to be mother in law wanted to try to talk and make sense of the situation and all the lady could respond with was -yelling- "no no no May 12th. Sometimes I say come back in 2 weeks, sometimes I say 6." Well I can promise you, if she would have said come back 8 DAYS before my wedding day the first appointment, I wouldn't have left my dress there in the first place. This lady wasn't trying to make me feel comfortable, no apologies, no "we are both wrong, lets try to make this right.." NOTHING. I was just stunned. (I am a healthcare professional, and if I were to treat a patient the way I was treated here, I wouldn't have a job, and I would probably be sued!!) she wouldn't even listen to reason with us that she was wrong because if I had waited until May 12th "when she said I was supposed to come back" they would have had 8 days to finish the rest of the ENTIRE dress. It wasn't going to happen!! It wouldn't have been possible. She was wrong and wouldn't budge. All she did was scream "may 12th" at us. I finally just asked for my dress. She "asked" me if I wanted a refund and I said yes ma'am I would. She then rudely said "well I'm keeping $50 for the fitting." I didn't even care at this point. I just wanted to take my dress somewhere else! I found a very sweet, reliable lady to fix my dress in a rush. She took out the pins the sewing center had in it to start over..and she didn't even pin the side seam like the sewing center was going to!! I was told if they had done that it would have RUINED my entire (all lace) dress!!!! I almost started crying I was so happy the sewing center didn't touch it!! I called bliss and told them the whole story. I really hope and pray they do not continue to use the sewing center for their brides. They do such a wonderful job and always kept in contact with me about my dress for some AWFUL alterations place to bring their business down. I'm sure the sewing center didn't even care about losing my business, and that's fine. I just want to write a review to maybe help future brides not go through the same experience I went through with them. read more

The complete lack of respect the owner/seamstress has for her customers is unbelievable! I'll skip to the most horrendous part of my visits at this establishment... At what was supposed to be my final fitting for my wedding dress I pointed out that the neckline/bust area was not going to work. It looked way too big, my breasts weren't sitting in the cups properly, and the neckline was very obviously pulling to one side. After explaining my concerns the seamstress began to tell me that I should've mentioned this at the last fitting and that there was nothing she could do to fix it. Obviously this was disappointing since she assured me at my first visit that she could alter the dress properly. After some back and forth she finally said she could lift the cups some and see how that helped. Feeling as though that was all I was going to get from her, I agreed to have her do that. I returned a few days later to pick the dress up and she wouldn't even let me try it on in store. I tried it on when I got home and NOTHING had changed. I brought the dress back and one of her workers greeted me. I explained what was going on and she went back to tell the owner about the situation. The owner then proceeded to go on an extremely rude rant about my "stupid dress" and would not come out to speak to me. The worker who greeted me had me try the dress on again and before I could even utter a word she immediately pointed out the issue and explained what she could do to fix it. Before I left she took the dress back to the owner explaining what was going on - the owner went on another rant saying "it's not my fault! I didn't do it!" and she STILL would not come out to speak with me. I was not blaming anyone for anything - I just expect my dress to be properly altered when I'm paying you over $400 to do so! The least she could've done is come out and tended to the situation rather than hiding in the back like a scared child. Pathetic! I would recommended taking your money anywhere but here. read more

I should have checked yelp before coming here. But it's close to my office and my project should have been easy. I bought a mesh, drawstring bag to use as a trash bag on the back of my jeep, on the trail. The bag was a little too long. I brought it to the sewing center on Thursday 6/16, to have 12" cut off of the bottom and sewn closed. I also asked that she put a small patch in the upper corner on one side so I could install a gromet. She said it would be ready on Thursday 6/23. A week for such a small job seemed like a long time but I figured she was busy with bigger jobs. I stopped back by on Wednesday 6/22 just to see if it might be done. It wasn't and she started to hedge on it being done the next day. I told her I was leaving on my trip on Friday 6/24 and I needed the bag. I also said if she couldn't do it, to let me know now so I could take it someplace else. She said it would be done on Thursday and emphasized that that was what she orginally told me. I went back at noon on Thursday, 6/23, In the middle of packing for my trip. There was another woman working. She said the owner didn't tell her what needed to be done on the bag. I explained it to her again thinking that she could do the job quickly, while I waited. Then she asked me to come back at 3:00. I told her no, took my bag and left. This place is terrible. I can't review their work because they never actually did any work. Avoid this business! As disappointed as I am, I can't imagine trusting these people with something important like a wedding dress or bridesmaid dresses. Take your business someplace else. read more
