Crème brûlée, earl grey, Dubai Chocolate, garlic cream cheese, mentaiko mayo
    Justin C.

The seouful is a salt bread specialty shop with some additional bites and drinks if you're looking for something that will fill you up a bit more. There is ample parking around it but there's not really any seating inside. It seems like they rotate out some of their flavors but I would definitely go and try it again. Staff: 4/5 Sanitation: 4/5 Salt bread: Earl grey (4/5) The earl grey was nice and the flavor came through on the cream, I wish it was bit stronger but it had a nice balance of flavor. Dubai chocolate (5/5) I really liked this one because of the amount of knafeh inside. I definitely think it would be better with a stronger pistachio taste. Mentaiko mayo (4/5) I think there was a decent amount of mentaiko on the inside. It was decent but the flavor was pretty much what you would expect from it. Crème brûlée (5/5) This was super good, the filling was very rich and creamy while the outside had a nice hard sugar shell that broke when you bite into it. Garlic cream cheese (5/5) I think this was my favorite one out of them all for the savory side. The garlic flavor was overloaded on it with good chucks of cream cheese. It reminded me of those garlic cream cheese buns that went viral but with more garlicky flavor. It was slightly sweet so I would prepare for that. The amount of cream cheese in the middle can be a lot.

It's by chance I happened upon this place. It's next to a strip mall that I happened go for coin laundry. The entrance is super small so you may miss it but the photos outside makes the bread look tasty. It looks like a Korean bakery that specializes in bread stuffed with creams (not cream puff though). The creams are extremely rich so if you like creams this is heaven for you but I personally found it to be too rich. I however think it does taste great. The drinks are also innovative but also super creamy. Service is great as the young man helping me was very courteous. The place itself is a to go only place as ther is not place to sit at all. I like this place in general.

Tried this really popular bakery trending right now in social media. There was a short queue when we went. The pastries look highly appealing. They look like croissants filled with different fun feelings. They taste pretty good, actually. But upon further scrutiny, it really is simply some kind of bread dough that's shaped like a croissant. It's an interesting concept, but I'm a purist at heart. Either give me a nice piece of bread or a croissant that's flaky and buttery. That's why I'm not a real big fan and convert with this idea. The store is basically a counter. Everything is to go. There are about 12 different flavors. Each one is really filling. Service is fast. You order, it's boxed, then you pay. No ambience to speak of, Just a little counter and a small bench to wait for your order.

No seats, no public restrooms, just order and go. The parking lot is weird cuz it's a one way but you'll be misled if u turn in from one of the entrances- good luck! Not a lot of parking spots because they're all reserved for different businesses. Cute shop, again, tiny, grab and go like your donut shop. Got the creme brulee and the sugar was SO beautiful, too much cream tho- squirted all over my shirt from the hole in the bottom. The salt bread was fresh and hot at 11:30am! But it got chewy when it cooled down. Would recommend and would come again.

Arriving here on a weekday evening, there was plenty of parking and the lineup wasn't too bad. I've been meaning to try their salt bread ever since I it on the socials. I got the fresh mango, earl grey milk and premium matcha. As the mango was refrigerated, I didn't find the bread to be as light and airy as the other two I got (earl grey and matcha). I found the other two to be more light and enjoyed the mix of the fresh bread with the cream. They also happened to be less expensive than the mango as well. Overall love that there is another speciality salt bread store but prefer some of the other ones in the Greater Vancouver area more.

Finally got to try salt bread! We took a day trip to Vancouver and I knew this had to be one of our first stops. One thing I immediately appreciated was that it's a proper storefront rather than a pop-up with chaotic lines. There isn't much seating available, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. They had a nice variety of both sweet and savory options, but we decided to keep it simple and try the original, garlic cream cheese, and everything seasoning flavors. I had intentionally lowered my expectations a bit since salt bread has become such a huge internet trend, but I was pleasantly surprised. The bread itself was excellent. Crispy and lightly buttery on the outside while staying incredibly soft and fluffy on the inside. The specialty flavors were enjoyable as well. The garlic cream cheese had a nice balance of savory garlic flavor with just a touch of sweetness, while the everything seasoning version was savory, oniony, and satisfying. Overall, it made for a great quick snack and lived up to the hype more than I expected. I believe they also serve coffee and other café beverages, though I didn't get the chance to try any this visit. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Richmond.

    Dubai, Earl Grey and Mango

I honestly had high expectations going in because I love my bread and seeing how much these cost, I told myself that these better be good. Safe to say, 2/3 that I tried exceeded it. My favourite one was the Dubai, which was the most pricey, but it was PACKED and heavy, figuratively and literally. I wasn't able to finish it since I was going to dinner but I felt that if I ate the whole thing, I wouldn't need dinner anymore. It wasn't sweet at all but if you love Dubai chocolate, then you would love this as you bite into the hardened chocolate, you are welcomed by a jam packed amounts of pistachio kataifi. Close second is the earl grey. I am not a big fan of cream but this earl grey was super light and fluffy, and wasn't sweet at all, with very strong earl grey flavour. The bread was also very buttery and crispy, which I realized was that they sugar coated the bottom of the bun so when you bite into it, you get this nice crunch. However, the mango wasn't my cup of tea. I didn't like the cream that they used, and the bun didn't have the crunch, but opposite, soggy texture, and I really dislike soggy bread. There wasn't a lot of mango either, it was more cream. So I guess if you like cream, then you might like this.

I visited Seoulful which is specializes for Shio-pan. This place offer wide variety of shio pan with unique filling . What I got: Original shio pan Pistachio and raspberry shio pan Ube cream shio pan Dubai chocolate shio pan Mango cream shio pan Garlic cheese shio pan If you get 6 pieces, tax will be free. Original shio pan had very buttery and crispy texture at the bottom. Dough was nicely fluffy and chewy. Comparing to other Shio pan shop, this place's bread's size is larger. And dough itself was not too buttery , which works with variety of flavor and filling such as whipped cream. Ube cream shio pan was very good. Ube cream had Ube paste texture with strong ube flavor. It was good item. Mango cream shio pan had a lot of whipping cream on the top with white chocolate pieces with a lot of mango slices inside. It was also very good item. Pistachio and raspberry was just ok, Pistachio cream flavor was a bit weak, so, raspberry jam dominate the flavor. Garlic cheese shio pan was good and very rich item. I enjoyed a lot of cream cheese filling. Graze on top was also good accent. Highlight was Dubai chocolate shio pan. This price was a bit higher than others, however, it worth trying it. Kataifi filling was generous amount, and paired with coated chocolate very well. Very crispy, rich and bold item. It was really delicious item. Overall, I really enjoyed their variety of shio pan items with unique filling. Bread size is larger than other shop. I will revisit and want to try new flavor!

Delicious salt bread bakery in Richmond, with plenty of different flavours. I liked that there were different options and I went with the Earl Grey salt bread. Each one ranges around $6-7. i enjoyed the flavour but the buttery salt bread with extra cream and sugary toppings was a bit too much for me. Will probably stick to the plain one if I come again.

Waited so long for the debut launch! The line was long for the grand opening event and took around 1.5 hours...so I feel like some better prep could have been done to make the line go faster. It was worth the wait though because the salt bread was super authentic and I loved the earl grey cream!

    Dubai chocolate, ube, black sesame
    Allen W.

Came highly recommended and did not disappoint! Got the dubai chocolate, ube, and black sesame. The best one by far was the dubai chocolate - the pistachio filling was sooo yum :)) The ube and black sesame flavors were milder, but the bread is good all the same. Has a nice crunch on the outside and a fluffiness on the inside. It's a pretty small shop, not really a sit down place, but there's plenty of parking. They do run out of flavors towards the end of the day (we came after dinner and there were some sold out).

(3.75/5) I decided to drop by this newly opened Korean snack + salt bread place in Richmond. We ordered a few things for take out. The store does not have dine in space which is a shame because they have quite a few menu items. There are however, a few chairs for people waiting to pick up food. We ordered the garlic cream cheese and tiramisu salt bread (no pic of tiramisu oops) as well as the soul bbq kimbap and matcha latte (also not pictured oops). The salt bread is divine! The garlic cream cheese is filled with cream cheese and was buttery and garlicky to perfection. I also liked the tiramisu as well. The texture of the bread is really good. In addition, the kimbap was a nice surprise. The meat and sauce paired really well (like kbbq in a kimbap) and was a unique item to try. I would not recommend the matcha latte as the matcha does not seem to be good quality and tasted very chalky and grassy. Overall, I was impressed by the salt bread and kimbap, but was a bit disappointed by the matcha latte. The pricing is also quite high so a snack can easily turn into the price of a meal. I would love to return to try other menu items sometime.

If you're into trendy foods this is definitely the soot for you, was fun experiencing their world cup menu. Definitely very flavorful, if you have a sweet tooth this is DEFINITELY for you. I personally don't have that much of a sweet tooth so it was a little much for me. Even the savory flavor we had leaned more towards sweet. I don't exactly remember the price so I cannot speak on that but it's a pretty small store so I believe it's more you get them to-go. Service was nice. Overall a wonderful experience!

I'll admit it: when I'm looking for Korean food, I don't usually go off the beaten path…read more There's a reason for that. Korean food is one of those cuisines where I've always subscribed to a simple theory: if Koreans aren't eating there, why should I? You can dress up a restaurant, put some Korean words on the menu and serve kimchi with just about anything, but eventually somebody has to judge the food. And Koreans, bless them, are not exactly known for suffering quietly through mediocre kimchi. So imagine my surprise when a little Korean restaurant in the middle of Richmond, BC, actually delivers. Daan is good. Properly good. And no, this isn't the place for the ubiquitous Korean BBQ experience that seems to have taken over the culinary landscape. No sizzling tabletop grills, no elaborate choreography, no fifteen-minute explanation of which piece of meat you're supposed to cook first. Daan is for something much more important: the Korean food you actually want when you're hungry and a little homesick for the food you grew up with. This is comfort food. The stews. The noodles. The hot-plate bulgogi. The stuff that arrives at the table steaming, fragrant and unapologetically familiar. The japchae is a definite yes. The bulgogi is worth ordering. And the galbi hits that sweet spot between substantial and satisfying--the kind of meal that reminds you why Korean food became a comfort food in the first place. There is one notable disappointment: the gamjatang, or pork bone stew. And that's a bit of a shame, because a great gamjatang can be the very definition of Korean soul food. Here, it just doesn't quite get there. So skip it and spend your calories elsewhere. Prices are pretty much what you'd expect in Vancouver--roughly ten percent more than Toronto, give or take. Then again, they don't hit you with PST on restaurant food, so by the time the bill arrives, we're more or less even. What I really like about Daan, though, is that it doesn't seem desperate to be anything other than a Korean restaurant. And in a city where Korean food can sometimes mean driving to Kingsway in Burnaby, heading all the way out to Coquitlam, or joining the latest Korean BBQ craze, there's something wonderfully satisfying about finding a place in Richmond that quietly gets the assignment. You want your kimchi fix? You shouldn't have to cross the Lower Mainland. Daan is proof that sometimes the little restaurant in the middle of nowhere is exactly where you should have been looking. Definitely recommended. Just don't order the gamjatang. Cheers!!!

This was probably the first time I came to eat during their dinner service, as a friend was dying to go and is a frequent lover of their menu. Their pork belly was good, but I really enjoyed the pink pickled radish on the side. Tofu soup was hearty and spicy, but the portion is on the smaller end (serves one small bowl to 5 people). Their rice cakes were delicious - perfectly soft and chewy with various seafood and fish cakes in the spicy sauce. I've personally had better pancakes, but my friend loves their seafood pancake and says it's her favourite. The side dishes really stood out to me. In Korean restaurants, it is common courtesy to provide banchan and rice so customers have something to enjoy before the main dishes arrive. Instead, we sat there with nothing. It honestly felt like they were trying to avoid refilling the unlimited banchan rather than taking care of their customers. The food itself was only average and certainly not worth the excessive wait. As a Korean, I am very familiar with Korean food and the level of hospitality that customers should expect.
