I frequent this second cup location quite often and it never fails to disappoint! The staff are extremely friendly and everyone is welcoming. It's located in a small plaza and not too hard to find. I tend to visit Second Cup when there is a promotion going on. Sadly, Second Cup stores are neither close to where I work, nor live these days. On Mondays, till December 9, 2019, if you buy any hot chocolate, you can get get another one for free. I have a weakness for hot chocolate. I used to go through canisters of hot chocolate mix as if I expected an apocalypse to occur. I stopped going through them so quickly after I looked at how much sugar I was consuming. Instead, I treat myself to a hot chocolate here and there. I did a search and found this Second Cup that is close to the hotel where I am staying. Yay! The cafe is in a small plaza. I actually entered where cars should exit. You can't see the arrow at all on the pavement. I noticed it when I left. Oops! Parking is limited. There were two spots that were opposite each other. I pulled into one and backed into the other. I then walked into the cafe. It's cozy. I can see folks sitting here for hours, chatting with a friend, or working quietly on a laptop and occasionally sipping a beverage. I knew that it felt right the moment I walked in. I headed to the counter. I had a patient person help me with my order. I wanted two hot chocolates. I am not a Second Cup regular. I pulled out my phone and rattled off the two flavours that I wanted: candy cane and cinnamon roll. I asked for no whipped cream. Done! I paid using my debit card. I did the tap thing and I was good. There is a small table where you pick up your mobile order. I waited by the regular drink counter. It didn't take long for my drinks to be ready. I sprinkled cinnamon on my cinnamon roll hot chocolate. I topped my candy cane hot chocolate with crushed candy cane. Yep, that's how I roll! I thanked the man who helped with my order. He smiled and wished me a good evening. Here's the fun part. I managed to get both drink into my car with my usual iced black tea from Starbucks already there. Trying to carry three beverages without a tray can be done. I had an insulated bag in my car trunk that fits all three beverages in a row. I put them all in, carried them up to my hotel room, and nothing spilled out. My hot drinks were still hot. Yay! The candy cane hot chocolate was okay. It was heavy on the candy canes that I could barely taste the hot chocolate. I need to hold back on the crushed candy canes! I loved the cinnamon roll hot chocolate a lot more. Extra cinnamon on top of a cinnamon-flavoured hot chocolate is the best. I have found my drink of choice at Second Cup. It wasn't terribly sweet. It was perfect. The baked goods looked yummy. I had already eaten dinner and didn't feel like dessert, so I passed. This cafe also has Pinkberry frozen yogurt. I'll need to try them next time. If you live in this neighbourhood, I am envious of you. Walking over here for a drink after dinner or whenever seems wonderful to this suburban. (446) read more

There's a chunky boy who works here who f*cks up every single order. I've watched him in person space out and miss half our order, type things into the register wrong, gives us the wrong drinks, wrong food, etc. Ordered from uber today and I'm 100% sure he put this order together. Ordered 2 large drink and 2 cookies. Got 1 cookie and 1 medium drink.... This kid can't read or something, please fire him. read more

As a resident in this area, I have been visiting this Second Cup for many years. As of late however, the customer service at this location has been less than ideal. Staff are rude, unfriendly and miserable. This behaviour is certainly detouring customers who have been loyal for years from returning. read more

This has been our place of choice for post-dinner late night drives in the Etobicoke area. Great place, amazing coffee, love the interiors and quite a friendly staff. We have tried their coffees, smoothies, cheesecakes, cookies etc and nothing has disappointed so far. Very good flavors. They do keep almond/soy milk which is great for vegans. Having said that, they don't have any vegan desserts or bakery items. I loved their dark roast - definitely makes your day (or evening, at the least). The staff is good and friendly. The service is pretty quick - no unnecessary wait time. There are plenty of seating available - regular chair-table as well as high chairs - some of them road facing. I love the interiors - especially the banner of "Wake Up and Smell the Coffee" is great and a couple of other paintings make the place really lively and bright. Plenty of sunlight on a sunny day lightens up the place. Overall, a great place to hangout and relax with a cup of coffee. read more

Best feature here are their huge windows, lets in so much light so you don't have to freeze outside to get some Vitamin D in the winter. The staff is friendly although they are always changing and being a regular I've never seen any regular staff except for the owner, not sure what that's about. The patio is a great addition and I enjoy the fact that it's not facing the parking lot, because really that defeats the purpose of a patio. read more

The hot chocolate here is amazing, much better than Starbucks and Tim Hortons. The lattes have a rich and nice taste. Definitely recommend.

This is my neighbourhood second cup and I love their drinks. However the servers are arrogant and rude. There is one in particular who never smiles, makes it look as if you are ruining her day and never ever had said thank you - in fact I am the one saying that at every stage of the transaction. On one memorable visit she insisted I did not have enough points to redeem for a drink and kept asking for proof - which was right there on my app!!!! I would go here more often if I didn't think she'd be there. Went back to Second Cup today still same poor service such a shame that the servers can't bring it upon themselves to even make eye contact, let alone smile or say thank you. Utterly miserable- what kind of customer training is given? I'm going to try the Timothy's instead next time. read more

It is 7:45am and there is one person working... With having to prepare lattes and take credit transactions this is the slowest service I have experienced in a GTA coffee shop on any given morning. While this could be just today even when there are two people in the morning they are slow and often forget to acknowledge people. While the coffee is good and there is ample seating I would highly suggest you stave off the urge for instant coffee gratification and head to the Second Cup at hwy 10 and Eglinton. read more

This second cup was literally PACKED on a Tuesday night. Their patio was over flowing and the inside didn't have many seats either so it's clear there is something great going on here. :) Oh and the shady looking men smoking out front that Heather M. mentioned, definitely present. read more

This location is packed with loud, older men speaking in foreign languages on a wintery Saturday night. I ordered a London fog and a bakery item. The London fog was typical Second Cup standard BUT the pastry was served on a paper plate with a plastic fork?!? I really like the vanilla lattes here. True the parking is miserable..you have to be really patient. It will only get more crowded as development is planned for the area. Waitstaff tries hard but I don't think management helps them much. Line-ups can get pretty crazy first thing in the morning..unfortunately they don't have enough staff sometimes to help out. Comfy chairs to have a nice catch up with someone. I like the dog friendly patio to meet up with friends in the summer. It's very relaxing & sunny. Not sure who the Polish man group contingent is out front but it does sometimes give the place a bit of a shady feel which is too bad. :( read more

I work nearby this location and I only go there because it's close by. The service here is terrible . Especially during the week in the morning . The baristas Stand around and talk or surf their phone. I actually drive 5 minutes away to get Starbucks because of the obvious reason. These girls should think about working away from people . I am unsure of why there are so many negative reviews here. I have had a great experience with the staff and overall comfort. I have been doing work in this location for a couple days on and off grabbing green tea and coffee. The facilities are clean, the hot drinks are great and the staff are friendly and attentive. There is good music played softly and the furniture is comfortable. This is a great place to enjoy peace while getting work done or to bring friends to. read more
