I'd rather eat a salty, briny rum ham pulled directly from the ocean…read more There was legitimately a moment when I contemplated hurling whatever monstrosity was in my hand into the sand beneath the boardwalk, where perhaps the gulls would find it more palatable. So, you might be thinking to yourself, what could have possibly riled this guy up so much? Well, as you may have guessed by their name, DJ's sells this abomination they refer to as an "Italian hot dog." Now, on paper it sounds delicious: two dogs, sautéed peppers and onions, fried potatoes like Mom used to make before her accident, served up in a nice warm fluffy roll. Except it's not in a roll. It's in a large, dry, bread pocket. A bread pouch, if you will, similar to what they use to make calzones. In fact, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure it was the bread they use for calzones. Wait, that's not how calzones are made at all. The pouch was entirely too big. Every bite was a tiny bit of hot dog then a mouthful of dough. There were hardly any peppers and onions, and you couldn't really apply condiments since it would just fill up the large cavity the ingredients were sitting in. It would have been a bowl of mush if I'd tried. For $15 absolutely not worth it. OH. It was $15 because I got the "combo," which was to come with a drink and fries. While I was waiting for my food, the lady at the register actually TALKED ME OUT OF getting my fries because "the Italian hot dog comes with potatoes in it." I was like, "Yeah, that makes sense." But then later I thought about it more and damn, I ripped myself off. I am so impressionable it's ridiculous. She just totally jedi-mindtricked me into turning something down that I paid for. The last complaint is a bit superficial, but the Italian hot dog itself just looks so freakin' dumb. If people walk by and point and laugh, just know they aren't laughing at you. They're laughing at the culinary atrocity in your hands.

I love the laid-back bayside environment, on the waterfront with a playground for kids and people crabbing off the dock. now for the food. I got the bbq burger with the onion rings on the side. it was delicious!!! the patty is gigantic on a seemingly freshly baked bun and so many fries!! the onion rings were so good, they were perfectly crisped and they were not rubbery or stringy like some are. my dad got a hot dog with disco fries (fries with gravy and cheese), very reasonably priced and he said they were good too! I tried the disco fries for the first time and I was astounded at how good gravy and cheese on fries tasted! my mom got a wrap but she said it was a bit dryer than she hoped but she still enjoyed it. another member of my party ordered the pork roll burger with no bun and the pork roll on the side because he is very particular about his food aka a picky eater :) and they got it exactly right, and the final member got a plain hamburger which was delicious to him. the prices were very reasonable for the most part, only $2 and change for a hot dog, $5 and change for almost all the burgers, but almost $10 for the wraps. sides and fries are all around $5 as well. the sodas in frosted mugs ($2.25) came with free refills, so I drank like 5 glasses of cherry & cream soda - SO good :))))) we were all stuffed at the end and couldn't even finish all of our fries! I know that I will be returning to this Stewart's!

It's so much fun to eat that way! Our hot dogs were piping hot, and I loved mine with sauerkraut and mustard. The cheeseburgers were large, juicy, hot, and on really good toasted buns. One order of fries was definitely enough to share, and I loved that they were NOT batter dipped. For the two of us, two pretty large hotdogs, 1 order of fries, 1 huge cheeseburger, and 1 Pepsi came to about $23.00, and today that's a real bargain. I can't say enough about how great our server was. I asked him to make sure the fries were hot and fresh, and he definitely took care of that! We are lucky to have this place so close to our house, and we plan on returning again and again.

I briefly remember seeing a sign for a "Jersey Shore Cheesesteak" during the arrest scene and I was immediately intrigued. What is a "Shore Steak" and how would it measure up to its older, more mature, and more famous Philly analogue. For those who haven't been - this is what a Jersey Shore cheesesteak is like. Imagine a hybrid pita-esque pocket filled to the brim with tender beef, perfectly spiced onions and peppers (from a can of course!! You can't have it any other way) and these delicious, crunchy balls filled with sharp cheddar cheese. This is everything a sandwich is supposed to be. I don't care if you have high cholesterol - you NEED this, even if it may kill you. In a way, Snooki being arrested was a blessing because it led me to this place. Everytime I'm in seaside (which is usually once every 3 years) I will be here.

As Boardwalk food goes - and not having the patience to the neighbor across the street "Steaks…read moreUnlimited" I thought I would try out The Original Steaks. There is some debate as to who is the original in Seaside but regardless, I thought I'd give the competition a try. Keeping it simple with Cheesesteak all the way included potatoes (Italian Style). Prices are same as everyone else in the area. Steak itself was very good, bread fresh, peppers & onions not overcooked and sliced provolone was used for cheese. Sodas didn't bog you down with ice and the young guy behind the counter even offered me a refill on the Soda That is definitely a 1st. In short was it a "GREAT" cheesesteak no, but it was as good if not better than Steaks Unlimited and other boardwalk stops except for my go to "MIDWAY". Solid stop here!

Good Enough We…read morevisited this restaurant in mid-September 2025. It is located on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk. We sat on the back deck, at a "rocking table," which was fun (although be careful you knock your drinks on yourself!). Service was pleasant and efficient. The food was OK - the nachos were basically some chips and dip, certainly nothing fancy. The portions of the entrees (such as quesadillas and tacos) were good and filling. The drinks were great - we especially loved the "buckets!" I'd rate this restaurant a 3.5...but since there are no "half-stars" and since it's on the Boardwalk (where pizza is considered a food group), I'll bump it up to 4. But that's a "4" on the Boardwalk - anywhere else, it's maybe a 3. Overall: If you're looking for a decent, family-friendly place to sit down and eat on the Boardwalk, this is a good choice. Thanks

The drink wasn't weak, but not overly strong where it was unbearable .I am biased to any restaurant/bar on a boardwalk so I rate the experience 10 out of 10. I sat at the bar. Everything was really cute. There were three separate areas where you could get different food .I don't remember our bartender's name, but she was extremely nice. I kept the shark with grenadine in it for a souvenir.
