All of this in a place that's fairly new, which makes it even more confusing. The service and the food- Easily some of the worst we've had. We mentioned that our food was inedible, and unfortunately that was not an exaggeration. The chicken fingers were absolutely obliterated. I'm someone who will usually eat a well-done tender, but these literally snapped in half they were so overcooked. The salmon on our salad was so hammered it had turned fully white, as if it had given up. The bartender completely ignored us while chatting with the other bartender (the place was dead). After about five minutes, we finally got her attention. She was visibly annoyed to be bothered. We calmly said the food was inedible and that we just wanted to leave. She dropped the bill with both items still on it. We politely asked if the uneaten food could be removed and said we were happy to pay for the iced tea and soda water. This request seemed to make her very angry. We then politely asked if a manager could help. The manager arrived with the same attitude. After some back and forth, the items were finally comped, but not before the manager called us idiots under her breath across the bar, which we clearly heard while she was speaking to the bartender. Overall- The staff matched the vibes. Hard pass.

Full bar and he was working the service bar too, but was attentive, engaging, even explained some soccer rules to us. Klees is always good, live music was ok, not overpowering. If you come down to seaside, this is a good spot for dinner, they do get busy so be patient. We had spinach/artichoke dip, chicken salad but wrap and a corned beef sandwich, the beef was very lean (bonus). And the potato salad was a nice option over fries.

Our bartender was excellent and after hearing I was vegetarian, she recommended the eggplant sandwich. The eggplant is thin and perfectly crisp. I low key wish this was an eggplant parm or dressed with some type of sauce, but it's delicious on its own. Last night we went Klee's and the food was good but the service was exceptional. Our waitress was extremely attentive. I got the eggplant sandwich with fries which I almost forgot about (I don't know how). Their fries are crisp and incredible. My mom got the meatloaf and instead of mashed potatoes got fries. Instead of broccoli, she got green beans. The portions were huge and she was very happy with the substitutions. We also got dessert which we regret not sharing because their portions were huge. She got the chocolate peanut butter pie and I got the apple crisp. The apple crisp was stacked. Both were good! Next time we will definitely split dessert because we were stuffed. I highly recommend checking this spot out. Oh if you are in the mood for lighter food, their nutty pear salad is so refreshing and yummy! I will definitely be back!

The hostess sat us in the bar area, which was fine, but seemed an odd choice. Our waitress came over for a drink order before I had even picked up the menu. My wife quickly ordered the Ginger Minty Paloma and I had an Old Fashioned. Wifey's drink was amazing and tasted like 14 more. Mine was just ok, but when you drink them fairly regularly there's not much you can do to make them 'different.' We decided to just split our food. We ordered a Wedge Salad - they put a balsamic glaze on it and it was REALLY GOOD. This came very quickly. We split The Rocco Pizza - vodka sauce, cheese and pieces of fried chicken cutlet. Unfortunately, this was a miss for us. The taste was fine, but neither of us liked the crust and wasn't hot enough. Didn't seem like your normal 'brick oven pizza.' We also split a 'small plate' of linguini and clams. This was just ok as well. The fresh clams were great, but the others were pretty chewy. The whole plate also needed salt. Service was pleasant and fairly quick, but the food was overall just ok. The place itself looked like it would be pretty fun if I was in my 20s. There was a band setting up and I bet the place gets pretty loud.

The crowd was mostly over 60 which is nice since no kids were there but I'm 45 and it wasn't as lively as I would have liked. The bands playing were good too but the atmosphere felt a little flat. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. Not my cup of tea for hanging out but I'd go back for dinner.

It was not busy when we arrived, maybe 2-3 other tables. There seemed to be only one server who seemed to be hustling, but the wild part was the bartender. We all placed our drink orders and about 20 mins went by without any water or drinks. Meanwhile, the bartender was chatting to what seemed to be his friends stopping in. He was drinking a Truly can and dropped multiple glasses, so spent his time walking up and down the bar doing absolutely nothing. Eventually a margarita and warm blue moon were delivered, but we didn't order a margarita and still - no drinks for the rest of the party. Food was sub par and the whole experience was candidly miserable. I don't think I am even doing it justice as I can't relive it.

We decided to check it out and we are so happy we did! Jersey Roll is a bar and grill that was formerly Aztec Bar, and they allow leashed and friendly dogs inside and outside. The inside has bar seating and standard tables and the small outdoor deck provides views of the ferris wheel, amusements, and the bustling boardwalk. They are famous for their pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches and offer other breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, fat sandwiches, other delicious items, and a full bar is available to get your favorite drink. The staff is extremely friendly and we enjoyed talking to the manager, Rachel. She makes a mean cocktail. On the corner of the Boardwalk and Sherman Ave., it is easily located so you do not have to walk on the boardwalk for too long. Check their social media for current local summer hours.
