An extremely WELCOME new business to Lavallette and the boardwalk at Seaside. Lots and lots of healthy and delicious choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes, playa bowls has a TON of smoothie bowl options (I had the "Lola" and it was fantastic), but they also have steel cut oatmeal bowls AND poke bowls. I really, really wanted to go back one morning for breakfast and try an oatmeal bowl, but ran out of time. Ugh!

I came back here and tried the Nutella coconut bowl! I always find it difficult to find an açaí bowl that is not banana based and this place has my favorite base, a coconut base! The Nutella coconut bowl is incredible! It's a perfect and extremely filling treat on a hot summer day! The Nutella coconut bowl also had strawberries and oats, which were really yummy! This is definitely more than enough for two meals! I highly recommend! Given the size, I think the prices are more than reasonable

This is a great somewhat new addition to Lavallette. We stopped in on a Sunday morning (9:30am) and there was a good crowd but only a few people in line. My only gripe was my order was put in wrong after clarifying twice, luckily I noticed it when I got my receipt and she corrected it quickly. The way they were calling out orders was a little off too, but these kids were hustling on a brutally hot 95 degree morning. The space is brand new and tastefully decorated which is what makes the brand stand out, Playa is everywhere in NJ now. It's an addition to the infamous Crabs Claw Restaurant next door last summer. I think Playa is great instead of a meal for breakfast or for a snack on a hot day. We'll definitely be stopping in again this summer.

I love all Playa Bowls' locations but what makes Lavalette so amazing is how I believe their salmon and tuna bowls are the most fresh. As this is one of the smaller locations it's still does a phenomenal job every summer. My favorite thing is getting their tuna and salmon poke bowls.

I've been in SSP for years and have passed by this establishment several times and did not try it…read moreout until recently! Beach Culture is unabashedly that - a little eatery that celebrates all things beachy! Having said this, I appreciate Beach Culture for what it is - a little stop for a small bite on the way to the beach. Believe it or not, there is usually a line outside this place on the weekends, and I can see why with a younger crowd especially. Young, beach-going vacationers will feel the pull of the waves as they stop in for a smoothie or an acai bowl. (If I was a kid, that's what I would do anyway!) I came here a few times last week - once to check it out and grab some food for myself, and once to bring my nieces because I felt like they would dig this place. I purchased a few of their toasts both times - for $4.50 each, the price is admittedly a liiiiiittle on the steep side for some bread with toppings, but Beach Culture needs to survive somehow, right? I do have to say, both toasts were very well balanced with fruit and toppings (one was banana / peanut butter / cacao and the other was strawberry / nutella / cacao ) - really nice for a light breakfast. I also grabbed a shaka coffee which was extremely tasty - and I can't wait to try their other specialty mixes. My nieces opted for a acai bowl and went absolutely bonkers for it, saying it was better then Playa Bowls (which is their all time favorite). There are a few things that prevent me from giving Beach Culture five stars, even if those things can't be helped. Seating is definitely limited - there are only two small tables outside - and the workers here can be a little on the slow side (although, they are all so lovely and friendly). But it's BEACH CULTURE, so if you're in a rush when going to this place, are you even at the beach? I also will admit their menu is a bit limited, but I take it for face value. If you want a quick / light snack, a coffee, or a smoothie, then this place will satisfy your needs. I adore this little eatery at the Jersey Shore, and will be coming here to get my caffeine fix!

My husband had the same sourdough bread, with avocado, and a sliced hard boiled egg on top! Of course, with a cup of coffee, to round out our perfect breakfast after our walk.
