I do love coming here because it's convenient and tasty! Drive thru is a nice touch so I come here to spend my money! Ok! However, if someone orders a 20oz juice... or the latter... they pay for 20oz... they want 20oz. Otherwise I can juice the simplicity at home myself, fill my cup, leave the foam out and spend less.

Came here on a summer evening. I appreciated that it is only one group allowed in at a time. I also appreciate that this specific location has later hours than most other Playa Bowls in the area. As of July 2020, the hours are 8AM-10PM every day. For me wanting a smoothie bowl at 8:00PM, those hours were amazing... The Toms River locations close at 8PM. When you get there, there may be a line - be sure to wait 6 feet apart. Once you get inside, you place your order, pay, and wait outside for your name to be called to have your bowl passed off to you in a bag with spoons and napkins. The wait for my partner and me was about 10 minutes going in and 5 minutes of a wait since it was a crowded night. There was outdoor seating but was not large enough to fit everyone waiting that night. Would be nice if there were more outdoor seating in the evening. We waited on the sidewalk for our Goji Pitaya Bowl: 50% Pitaya, 50% Açaí order, and ate in the car which is typical nowadays for taking out cold items on hot summer evenings. The flavors mixed well together and I was super happy getting both açaí and pitaya. The goji berries were not super sweet which I liked, and added nice texture to the smoothie together with the granola. The banana and the pineapple gave it a nice tropical feel. I definitely recommend this flavor, but if you're a huge coconut / pina colada lover, I'd give this bowl a try with half açaí or Pitaya, and half coconut base!!

We were visiting family and wanted a quick bite and stumbled across Playa Bowls. I had never heard of it and was surprised to see that it was a chain. The food was fantastic! We got a few smoothies, and even managed to get my picky toddler to have the green one (have to find ways to sneak veggies into her system). The decor is really fun. This location even had a drive through. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Absolutely the best part of my day and trip to the Veteran's clinic! So healthy and clean Guaranteed to put a smile on your face There are many copy cats but none compare to the original playa bowls! This location is friendly, fast and clean.

i come here pretty often and there so good! with covid going on the whole staff is always wearing masks whenever i go in as well as gloves. i always see them cleaning which is great. inside normally is so pretty, they usually have a swinging chair which is so fun to sit on and a bunch of cute seating. and the artwork inside is so nice and aestheticly pleasing. because covid all there seating is gone for the inside like every other place in nj. but on a non-covid non no indoor dinning basis there dinning is amazing. they have a long menu and it's usually very hard to decide. they also have many vegan and gluten free options which is great! i mostly get the dragon berry bowl and substitute the regular granola with the gluten free/vegan granola and substitute the honey for almond butter or peanut butter!! definitely recommend trying if you haven't yet !!

This is the Tropical Açaí Bowl. I didn't get the granola and added on cacao nibs. So good!

I had the Tropical Bowl with the Acai base. I saw one or two comments on here about these bowls not being healthy. I can say they are! The Acai did not taste overly sweet and it's just blended with fruit. The cacao nibs were unsweetened and I had the granola taken off the order because I didn't want the extra sugar. I really enjoyed this bowl and I was very full after I finished it. I love the atmosphere of this place and the free WiFi is an added plus .

I've always been a fan of açaí bowls, and I think playa bowls has the largest bowls out there. They're extremely filling. I get the classic pura vida which has granola, banana, blueberries, and strawberries. I've also had the Nutella açaí bowl, and although it's delicious, the Nutella fills you up very quickly. I think açaí bowls are over priced, but then again, all the açaí places are. Staff at this location is ok, found them to be standoffish.

I ordered the Electric mermaid pitaya bowl with some substitutions. My choice of toppings was pineapples, mangoes, strawberries, kiwi, and granola. So delicious and refreshing. The staff is also very quick and friendly. I love playa bowls. It's such a cute setting and offers unique healthy food.

It's a great local spot with delicious food at good prices. If you're looking for fast service that still has quality meals, this is a good place to go. When you order, there are specials at the counter to check out. The most popular dish (that I've noticed over the years) is the Hawaii 5-0 with either grilled or crispy chicken. When I went the other day, everyone in my family decided to try something new--the Sushi Tuna Wrap. Wait time was 20 minutes and there are TVs around to kill time as you wait. You can also self-serve your own fountain drinks at this time. We were nervous that there wouldn't be much tuna but were pleasantly surprised when each wrap had a good ratio of tuna to other ingredients. Each wrap was also consistent--one didn't look better or have more or less tuna than the other. Every meal comes with chips and salsa which always add a nice touch. As stated, Fins is a great local spot for a quick bite and I will definitely continue going back.

A few orders go by, I finally ask and my order was ready the whole time, 30 minutes. It's really frustrating because it makes me think it's because of my skin tone. Maybe it was a mistake but that's the only thing different. Maybe I'm more emotional because I'm pregnant but trying to figure out why every order was called but mine. Our dinner is now cold. I just don't understand.

Just note that wine options are limited--they only had Chardonnay as their white wine option. The complimentary tuna salad was so good that we bought a container from the market to take home. We each had a cup of clam chowder, shared the miso scallop sushi, and ordered the sesame-crusted bluefin tuna special. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Tuna was good quality and had a good coating of sesame seeds. My perfect bite was tuna, orange sauce, seaweed, tomato, & onion. The chips were perfectly crispy. The crab rangoon was surprisingly good. This appetizer is what made me pick this place. Such a good combination. Didn't need the marinera sauce. Next up soups. Lobster bisque was ok. I guess I was expecting it to be a little more rich. But it was good, it tasted exactly like lobster and I got good chunks in the soup too. Now the shrimp and corn chowder was super flavorful. Favorite dish of the meal. For mains, cold lobster roll and two tails w butter and side salad. Side salad was well dressed and I appreciate the ribbons of Parmesan. The lobster was mostly cooked right. There was one that was a bit chewy. Added salt and butter but felt like something was missing still. I couldn't find a good combo of toppings to go with the lobster. The cold lobster roll was alright. The potato bread added a good sweet flavor that complimented the lobster. Overall a decent meal.

The windows were covered up so you can't see the interior but I knew it was a pizza joint. We ordered and shared the following: Eggplant parm pizza- when we got it , Hubs asked if we had the wrong pizza. This didn't look like the usual eggplant parm pizza. It was tiny pieces of eggplant and not like chunks of it. The pizza also had pesto spiral swirled around. It was a nice surprise. Hubs thought the pesto spiral was a nice touch. The pieces of eggplant was very flavorful. The sauce was very flavorful and the pizza crust was nice and soft but crispy enough on the bottom. Shakshuka- this came with 3 eggs. We thought this order was delicious. It came with a few slices of bread but it wasn't enough to sop up the sauce. Hubs brought it home to put it on top of his ramen. LOL. We also took home the tomatoes and cucumbers that came along with it as well. This place is a pleasant surprise. There were a lot of flies flying around the pizzas, but we were surprised that the flies didn't come towards us when we were eating. We were glad to not end up at the Jackson Diner. Will return to try other items on the menu.
