When they say "any occasion", they aren't kidding! I ordered a flower arrangement for a dinner I…read morehosted this week and what I received was nothing less than a work of art. The ordering process was easy and the staff was knowledgeable. I gave them my ideas and they took care of the rest and even offered to deliver them! I procrastinated and ordered the same day I needed the arrangement but The Flower Cottage finished with time to spare and under my budget! The arrangement: It was full of silver dollars, blush roses, and the biggest, most beautiful Dahlias I've ever seen! Who would have imagined that kind of mix? Each fresh flower complimented the next. The dahlias were definitely the "talking" pieces and added an unexpected touch of class. I am absolutely a regular customer now. THANK YOU FLOWER COTTAGE!!

Customer service is AWFUL, deliveries not made timely and Randall is one of the rudest people I have ever spoken with. I called and ordered flowers for a friend's birthday. They were not delivered and no one attempted to call me. The next morning I get a voicemail letting me know my flowers weren't delivered. Randall answered the phone and proceeded to YELL at me (the customer) telling me that I gave him the wrong phone numbers and address. I spelled and confirmed the address with him over the phone and he still got it wrong, blaming it again on me. I couldn't get a word in at all because he was yelling at me about how I was being stupid and this was all my fault. I ended up telling him I just wanted my money back and for him to not deliver the flowers and that I was going to leave a review about how poorly he treated me. He then said "go ahead honey, everyone will just laugh at you". Extremely misogynistic and rude. I will never give my money to this establishment.

I received the nicest gift basket for my recent wedding, which was prepared by Country Friends…read more The basket is beautiful, and I only wish I'd made its picture before unpacking its treasures, which included party good for Georgia Dawg tailgates, wine, a gorgeous frame for a special wedding picture, wonderful and aromatic Diva fine laundry detergent, and more. I was thrilled. Finding its tag naming Country Friends as its source made it even more special to me because my roots are in north Georgia's Chattooga County. Thank you to the proprietors for their role in a special gift.

Lots of cute stuff, a hodgepodge of home decor, seasonal pieces and giftware. I stopped in here…read morelast week and saw a few cute items that I was interested in, but the sales staff were pretty wrapped up with some task behind the counter. They paid some attention to two people looking for a wedding gift, but never bothered to acknowledge that I was in the store. No greeting, no wave, nada. I thought that was a little odd. I was interested in some decor featuring a cute dragonfly theme, but opted not to buy it because I was completely ignored, which seemed pretty odd in comparison with my other very positive experiences in other retail shops along the downtown historic district. I looked around quite a bit, saw a few unique things at both high and lower end prices and plenty of run of the mill stuff that I could easily get at any TJ Maxx, Marshall's or even Home Goods, although not as much funky or hard to find items as I would've liked. Still, the store did have a few things I truly liked, but lack of customer service and ridiculous markups on mundane pieces (candles, vases, fragrances) that I can get anyplace else at low prices led to my walking out empty-handed, despite wanting the beautiful dragonfly art that I saw. As I headed out the door, I still elicited no response from the lady behind the counter or anyone else. No "goodbye, have a good day, stop in again," nada. It definitely felt odd and slightly unwelcoming. Oh well. I'd probably give them another chance in the future.

I came upon this boutique by chance and stopped in on a whim after the shop was recommended to me by another store owner downtown. Actually, I'd passed by this charming little boutique several times and hadn't noticed that it's a boutique because it's actually located inside a converted old home in a combination residential/business area on a shady, tree-lined side street. Once I walked inside, I found so many cute things that I didn't know what to look at first, but I immediately spied a bunch of cute Paula Deen kitchenware/decor I tucked into one corner and I immediately made a beeline towards it. Elsewhere, my husband I found a big clearance/sale section located in another room and tons of eclectic decor items, including candles, pillows, pottery, glassware, some vintage pieces, plus racks of clothing and accessories and so much more. Every room of this old home was chock full of unique wares (don't think about not hitting the second floor-there's even more in store upstairs). Don't forget to stop in the bathroom, too, because most of the fragrances, lotions, cosmetics, and candles are in there! It smelled so good, it almost felt like a spa. Truthfully, I could have spent a fortune in here, though I managed to curb my inner shopaholic and pare down my purchases to a few items, including some Paula Deen pottery and a carved wood decorative knock knack. While some things were typical Chinese imported goods, I actually found plenty of Made in USA merchandise, including handmade box candles, pottery and accessories, which I was pleased to see. There was an Easter Egg scavenger hunt sale going on here (several downtown retailers participated- it was the week of Easter), so I grabbed a plastic Easter egg out of a bag to find out my store discount, which was 30% off my total purchase, so that was great. I signed up for their email list, too, so now I get notifications on special promotional events and sales. Customer service here was excellent, too. Overall, a great shopping experience.
