If I'm looking for a pick me up drink, I feel as if Mad Goat will have something for any mood and climate. I don't drink coffee, but they have plenty of non-coffee options here. Their London Fog is solid, Chai Latte is a winner and they do a pretty good job with their matcha drinks. Those are for cooler days. If I need something to cool me down or simply hydrate me, their sparkling lemonades always hit the spot and their smoothies can be really refreshing. I imagine their coffee is good too. Mad Goat offers more than just delicious drinks. They are partners with Royal Donut, so you can grab one of those, or other baked goods. One thing that is super underrated are the various options for those with dietary restrictions. I typically get oat milk in my drinks, and they have vegan baked goods as well. I find it super inclusive! What sets this location apart is the general space and ambiance. There is just so much space in the facility that can cover many purposes. There are plenty of long tables to sit with people and chat, couches for relaxation, a meeting room for privacy and outdoor seating to get some extra sun with your drink. Their space is beautiful, with high ceilings, rich wood floors and a welcoming vibe all around. They seem to have a wide variety of choices, and some pastries, but I went with a straightforward iced coffee, which was a perfect way to take the edge off the hot and humid day. The service was quite nice and this does seem like the kind of place that would a nice cornerstone of the community. I do have a soft spot for local businesses, especially those right on the town square.
