Fantastic coffeehouse! Great lattes and breakfast items. Friendly, warm and comfortable atmosphere. Featuring local artists, I was instantly curious to the walls of art. This place got it right

I have been to Java Haute a few times now. I should go more often, really. The seasonal flavors are interesting and I have decided I enjoy going here when I want coffee as a dessert or snack. By that I mean, yes the drinks are sweet and milky, but sometimes that's what I am going for. I'm not sure this is where I would to for my daily black coffee, but it's definitely where I will go for treat coffee.

Such a great spot for breakfast! There were a lot of people catching up with friends and/or working on their laptops. This is the first coffee shop I have seen with booths, I think. My friend and I ordered some drinks and pastries to go. The vanilla chai tea latte was so good. Sometimes they fall flat depending where you get it but it was one of the better ones I've had. Additionally, I ordered the homemade pop tart which was really good. Kind of wish it had more filling in it but it was great nonetheless. We also ordered a big homemade granola bar and those things are MASSIVE. The staff was very friendly as well, which is always a plus.

I was craving a blended coffee and was so happy when I realized Java had them! I got a blended coffee with white mocha. It was so so good. It actually tasted like coffee unlike a lot of places. The homemade whip was also great!

Hands down my FAVORITE coffee shop in Terre Haute. Five stars for everything - location, atmosphere, coffee flavors, food offerings, decor, EVERYTHING! My go-to brewed coffee and 100% all-time favorite coffee flavor, EVER: Highlander Grogg. This is not to be confused with their Highlander Grogg latte, which is also delicious, but a little too sweet for my liking. I get my brewed coffee with a pump [or three] of pumpkin pie flavoring [yes, year round, don't judge] and I'm in autumn heaven! Pair that with the Asiago cheese bagel with cream cheese and I'm a happy camper. Their chicken salad, quinoa salad, scones, muffins, bagels, you name it - it's delicious!

Java Haute is the perfect place for a casual meeting, catch up with a friend / colleague, or just a place to come and sit to get some work done. The place can be pretty busy with local college students to getting a seat could be problematic at some points during the day and evening. However there's usually always a spot open somewhere that you can sit! My favorites are the iced or hot tea and smoothies. Staff is very nice as well. Best chocolate chip cookies too!

I don't normally leave reviews but we had an awesome experience with a great smoothie and hylander coffee with coconut milk. The Olaf on the lid made my daughters day!!!

I am only in Terre Haute for a limited time and when asking locals about a coffee shop recommendation, Java Haute was at the top of their list. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here! The inside of the shop is surprisingly large with a lot of seating. I ordered my vanilla latte and the lady behind the counter was so upbeat and pleasant and told me that she would bring it out to me when it was ready. About 2-3 minutes later, she let it down next to me with the cutest little note. I'm sure they do this for everyone, but regardless it was a pleasant surprise and made me smile. The latte was delicious! I stayed and studied for a while and was very grateful that the background music was not too loud and distracting and most people kept their conversations to a reasonable volume. If I am in Terre Haute for an extended period of time again, I will definitely be back!

Fun to visit a local Terre Haute spot. I wish they served their coffee in mugs for those who were sticking around.

This spot gets a 5 because it is located in Terre Haute, IN. No offense and this is sort of a back…read morehanded compliment I understand. A spot like this would not survive in the cool metropolitan cities around the globe I have called home, but for "the Haute", I think this spot is spot on and great. Always attempting to avoid the large corporate coffee giants out there on the planet when I can (they don't need my money), my dad mentioned that there was a coffee spot on South 7th Street he has driven by a million times. He thought it was something I would enjoy checking out, for he knows how I feel about the corporate coffee giants and knows I like the lingering aspect of a great coffee house. Super cute space, lovely welcoming warm decor, in hues of eggshell blue I think, nice female baristas working the counter and the drive-thru, superbly clean bathroom and a seating area almost like a well appointed country kitchen/living space. High top tables with sturdy high chairs (my aging parents are happy to see and sit in these). Puzzles, magazines and room to work or simply chat, as my parents and I are doing this day. Coffees, frozen drinks, lemonades, some baked items....they have it all. Being just a coffee drinker, their coffee at 1pm this day was fresh, hot and decent (not decent like Cafe DuMond in the French Quarter of NOLA or anything, but this is Terre Haute and I find this afternoon joe offering respectable). Laughed at the humor of the company dog about the premises, but make note, no pets allowed. The owners dog allowed, but yours is not. LOL! All good by me, but humorous. I will return and happily give this spot a "Terre Haute 5 on Yelp," which is not a "Las Vegas 5 on Yelp," but a great coffee spot regardless.

This review is way overdue, so my apologies for tardiness…read more Mark your calendar and start the clock. If you want to dive into this bake shop, you have 6 hours on Friday's to stop in and indulge in your bread fix. The Harvest Bakery retail store is open from 9am-3pm on Fridays....only Friday. The ladies of this bakery are super sweet. While I am standing there at 9:20am of course on a Friday, a flurry of regulars come in and grab English muffins and cookies and are talking bread. I am thinking "am I too late?....are all the English muffins gone?...are they that special?" After speaking with Marta and Amelia who are working there, I come to discover that this is a family business. Harvest Bakery opened in 2008. They sell primarily to restaurants and markets in the area (this is basically what keeps them busy on the other six days of the week I suppose). The bakery itself is basically a simple storefront. It looks like an old school kitchen in the front and a commercial kitchen in the back. The ambiance is Hautian charming, but also says "buy your baked goods and leave." This is the kind of off the beaten path spots I enjoy discovering. Loaves of bread (whole wheat, white, seed), loaves of swirl bread (cinnamon raisin, mocha chip, bacon cheddar), bagels (plain, asiago, blueberry), quiche, cookies (peanut butter, chocolate chippers, thumbprint) and did I mention the sourdough. They make their own sourdough (multigrain, rye, gold N white). They have a big chalkboard showing all the goods posted in the inside of the store when you walk in. I am advised that the cinnamon roles have not yet properly risen, so of course I wait an hour and return. Worth the wait.... I walked out after the nicest conversation with Marta and Amelia with all sorts of baked goods to share with my parents. The sourdough, cinnamon rolls, cinnamon raisin bread and English muffins I am still remembering so well all these weeks later (but absolutely all items were delicious and I mean that). Those English muffins are ridiculously delicious....a bit insane and unexpected. Thick, fuffy and they toast up just perfect at home in my toaster. It certainly seems like those patrons that walked in when I arrived picking up English muffins are on to something. I am advised that you can call and order ahead of time (if they are only open one day a week, you want to make sure that they don't sell out of those English muffins, right?) Everything was also so reasonably priced. What a delight to discover Harvest Bakery. I hope to be back when visiting my folks in Terre Haute. Maybe I should make sure to always be in town to include a Friday. If they were open to the public for more than 6 hours on one day in a week, my review would have been a 5. But make no mistake, a Yelp worthy establishment to visit.

The owner was absolutely charming. The raspberry cinnamon roll my wife bought was made with raspberries picked in the owner's back yard. We also got some great asiago rolls. We will never pass through Terre Haute without checking to see if Harvest is open, and anyone reading this should do the same.
