The kind hearted person who recommended this place couldnt have known it was like this - surely. This place needs to be shut down, scrubbed & disinfected - so unhygenic. The vibe and look & filth makes it very ugly ghetto experience. Do not go there is my advice.
Terrible service, terribly dirty place, filthy tables, you can see the filth in between the raised chequerplate metal table service - feels prison like & in very unhygenic - dirt embedded in between the raised pattern on the table top. Tables were not normal height - built in-between size kids & normal cafe height & all tables were the same size fyi . Very average scones, bit heavy & dense. Tea served wasnt much more than warm & server spilled the teapot (poured out on table as it was put down) & we thought she would be back to clean it up & at least wipe up the pool of water - (thought the table could benefit too) she never came back. I tried this place on recommendation - I give it 1 out of 5 simply because it exists - will NEVER be back there or recommend it. PS: tables were made of metal checkerplate - with dirt & grime wedged in between the raised pattern - clearly no thought into aesthetics or size of furniture or customer comfort or cleanliness. I was desperate for scones, but hey, no one is desperate enough to go back a second time I guess that explains why we were the only ones there (& still received poor service). I have only ever once before in many years written a poor review of a busines, so this is a big deal for me. Please dont recommend it to others & I would say this - if you are recommending a place on line to somone, please say if you have tried it personally - & even better to state if you havent been recently.
To whomeever owns this place I'm sorry to have to write this - but it has to be said in the hopes that you will lift your game. Staff who care, a cook with a good attitude, a good clean & improve 'everything' you have a hope. Until then - your business will continue to die slowly. Gordon Ramsay needs to come clean this place & fix it. Start with attitudes to customers & cleaniness read more
