    The cart!!

One of my FAVORITE things on planet earth. I don't care what anyone says, this sausage sub hits the spot after any event in the city where you've had a few too many adult beverages. You just have to look for the guy with the cart...

It's a great Italian sausage outside the stadium before the game for a reasonable price. What more could you ask for.

He called me honey and I knew it was going to be good. I've stopped here a few times before, and it's the best hot dog in Boston. I frequently attend this hot dog stand. It's $10 cash, $13 card and it's fully worth it. Love the sausage guy. I tend to go for the hotdog and will be giving the sausage a try next.

Used to look forward to buying these sausages at stop and shop. Shrink flation/ Bidenflation must have got to them... Smfh they're half the size now. NEXT

Sausage & Peppers at Fenway Park is like a communion wafer for baseball junkies in Bahston. However this street vendor elevates its game to a whole new level! The Sausage Guy takes an Italian sausage and grills it to perfection and spreads open that bun while laying his sausage inside, then add's his secret spices over grilled peppers & onions combination for you to open up and say ahhhhhhhhhhhh! That orgazmic state of euphoria your experiencing is THE SAUSAGE GUY in your mouth. Go with it an order another and then enjoy the game!

Whether you have sausage or steak tips, it's hard to find a better place to grab a bite after a Sox game. Yummy.

On the Macy's side of Summer Street, I spied a new (to me) food cart with the word "AREPA"…read moreemblazoned on all sides situated across from the Summer Street entrance to the Downtown Crossing T stop. Curious about their "sweet corn patties with mozzarella cheese" which were grilled on site (but seemingly bought packaged), I stopped despite the fact that I had recently consumed my lunch. For $4, I received a 'sandwich' wrapped in foil with a paper napkin cushioning my hand against the heat of the contents. It was about 4 inches in diameter, and fully heated through. It was reminiscient of a corny grilled cheese or a corny sauceless pizza. Since, hobbit-like, it was my 2nd mid-day meal, I couldn't believe I ate the whole thing, but then I figured it wouldn't reheat in a microwave all that well... It was a nice snack, but it is priced a little high to make it as a regular snack destination for me... more like a special sometime treat. PS - it is noted on the cart that the arepas are Gluten-Free.

The cheese must have been sitting out for a few days because it was so dry it wouldn't melt. Also the vendor was a huge dick to me. Got mad about me paying by card for a $6 order (that I'm 90% sure was advertised as $5) and mansplained credit card transactions to me. I was so jarred that I asked for my card back but he insisted on completing the transaction while complaining about cars payments the entire time. Do NOT eat here. You will regret it. If curious, this was the cart across from Boston Public Library.

The line for what looked like the most popular stall- for street food, including lots of grilled meat on sticks, papaya salad, and tons of other yummy looking options stretched beyond the food designated area and into the carnival games area. A couple of lines were like that, and I just had to live with not getting food or drink from those stalls. I remember the egg roll cafe truck from a past year. Their fusion egg rolls do not disappoint! So crisp. Got the Buffalo chicken one. Also got Japanese curry fries, which definitely worked flavor wise- the curry had kind of a gravy quality, and there was a creamy sauce, seaweed, and scallions. Also tried Nigerian food for the first time, which I was surprised to find there. I appreciated the way all the flavors came together- the special rice, plantains, and spice encrusted thin piece of beef on a stick. I was stuffed, but I wish I could have kept eating. Also saw some awesome drinks in the drink section- including one AAPI owned brand, and boozy boba that had an awesome presentation (it lit up!) The carnival games were also a hit. I secretly would have loved to win a snorlax or a two sided octopus. I was one bean bag away from winning! I guess it just wasn't my day, because at the MUJI tent I also only won a gel pen- they had a wheel that you spun. I preferred a past year, where they gave everyone notebooks. Loved those notebooks- sadness. Will just have to buy them at the store, lol.

The first time I went was to the Mission Hill location, which was quite satisfying in terms of the food quality. I've been to this South End location a handful of times over the years just because of it's proximity to me, but the lack of customization with up charges for everything is a turn off. Also the last time I went, I wanted to have two proteins (half and half) and was charged for double proteins. My most recent order was the plate with pork en chile verde and al pastor. The chile verde pork was moist and flavorful, but the al pastor was very dry, tough, and there was no pineapple to be found. The portion sizes itself were decent, but compared to other nearby casual Mexican places, it doesn't hold up. However, I do appreciate how they serve the plate so you can taste each individual component without everything mixed together. You also have to ask for their hot sauce/salsa, they have a red and a green one. The green one is much better, but the red one does have a nice kick to it.

I only experienced them through DoorDash since i was in a hotel but each time my food was fresh and absolutely delish. I ordered from there twice and had the Horchata, Elote, Burris Burrito, Madurai, & Grilled Chicken Burrito. Whew... each item was a home run and im thinking about going back to Boston to have this food again. They even called me to clarify my order since they were about to close and didn't want to make any mistakes. From what i can tell most people don't dine in, that this is more of a good food fast type of place. But i would definitely like to sit in and eat the food fresh.

My favorite vendor was Amisha, I got this super gorg kaftan. Bathrooms were a bit difficult to find, so know they are inside the art building. Don't wait too long to go find them because the lines were super long! I could see this being an ok spot to take kids and pets, however, the limited shade might get to them quickly.
