    A small, bland porchetta sandwich.
    Patrick S.

Would you like a small, bland sandwich for $10? Come to the Pennypacker's truck! I see the Pennypacker's truck in Dewey Square every week, and every year or so, as memories of previous disappointments fade, I'll give it a shot. This time I'm leaving a review so that I don't forget again! The truck sells a selection of sandwiches for ~$10 each, with half-sandwiches for ~$6 each. A few sides are available, and they're mostly $5. I bought the porchetta sandwich because the truck features it prominently. 'Surely,' I thought, 'their featured $10 sandwich must be pretty good!' Unfortunately for me, no, it is not very good. As shown in the photos below, it is small and consists only of pork and a somewhat oversized ciabatta roll. The pork has a nice crispiness, but is a little dry and has the overly salty flavor of a slim jim. The overwhelming saltiness is really the only flavor that comes through, and you're left wishing there was something sweet to highlight the savory side of the pork. The roll is decent, but it's too large and tough to work well for a sandwich that, again, is nothing but pork. Did I mention that it's small? You get four good bites, and after that it's basically filling up on bread. It would have been great to have a side to cut the overwhelming saltiness, but the only sides on offer were $5. I've just paid $10 for a small sandwich - I have my limits. Chips would have been a nice companion, but I was forced to pick those up elsewhere. If this sandwich had 50% more meat and possibly some jam to cut the saltiness, it would have been a pricey, but enjoyable lunch. As it is I paid $10 for a pork sandwich when I could have paid Bon Me $7 for a much better sandwich with more pork. Hopefully when I forget this let down in a year and consider Pennypacker's again I'll just go to Bon Me instead.

Grilled chicken sandwich. If it's on the menu, GET IT!! Like a chicken thanksgiving sandwich but better

Their steak sandwich was so tasteful at the Trillium Garden. Homemade ciabatta bread made the sandwich. The service was friendly

Porchetta sandwich is amazing, but don't sleep on their salads either. Their panzanella salad with fresh herbs is super fresh and flavorful.

The service is attentive and super friendly. The staff is very positive. The vibe is warm and welcoming. I got take out today , but I been coming here for years , and it's constantly good . Pandemic price inflation is real, but not that outrageous compared to many other fast-casual places. One huge improvement is full online ordering, which spares you the torture of having to communicate what you want with the Spanish-speaking staff whose English skills are extremely limited. Said staff however are hit-and-miss...sometimes you get great staff who are friendly and warm and helpful usually, but sometimes you do get stone-faced (cultural adaptation to New England norms perhaps? lol) robots who do as little as necessary. They still have the best salsa and horchata I've found in this area. Quesadillas and burritos are great if you tell them to skip the rice. One very nice thing, which is a good indicator of how close to "Mexican" they really are, is the presence of refried beans as a topping for all of the made-to-order-while-you-point-and-wait dishes. The truly fake-Mexican places for some reason only do whole beans...I guess refried is too labor intensive for them? The salsa is very fresh, does NOT taste like it's been mixed with ketchup (cough cough, Tenoch "Mexican") or Tabasco or contains vinegar. I do wish they still had the more exotic meats like barbacoa and lengua which they used to do +10 years ago, but oh well at least they still have pork and beef rather than being all chicken-chicken-chicken like some of the Whole-Foods type places. All in all, I'm grateful Anna's still exists, because I loathe Chipotle, and am often too lazy to drive all the way out to Waltham to the (increasingly packed) Taqueria El Amigo. So while Anna's ain't exactly REAL "Mexican," it's one of the better approximations to be found here.

The biggest compliment I have is there response time. Even if someone was on vacation, I always got an email or phone call within 24 hours of reaching out. When I went for the food tasting in May 2019, Dayna made sure all of our special requests were met. She went above and beyond to help us create our own specialty menu to accommodate gluten, dairy and garlic allergies. Prior to the wedding, Dayna and Nora set up a walk through at our venue. They knew exactly what needed to be accomplished and just made sure I was on the same page as them. No thinking necessary! By the time my wedding day arrived I had no second thoughts or nerves about Cuisine Chez Vous because we had gone through multiple plans and had all of our vendors on the same email chain which was a breath of fresh air. When I arrived at the wedding venue everything was even better than the photos I provided! The flowers, tables and linens, plates, glass wear, food and beverages were all provided by CCV making them the perfect vendor for me, a bride who lives 14 hours away from where she is getting married. The food of course was phenomenal but the service is what I'll remember the most. At any point in the night, you could get your wine, liquor or water glass filled. The best man joked there was no reason for him to get up because food and drinks were constantly being brought to the table! In regards to drinks, those were poured perfectly for a crowd that is more into shots than mixed drinks. I could go on and on about this company and its employees. I wish I could host a wedding every year just so I could work with them! Thanks Dayna, Marissa and Nora for the best wedding a girl could imagine :) Shannon & Jordan

I was really impressed with the number of hors d'oeuvres on offer, as well as the variety! We noshed on mini hamburgers, chicken on biscuits, baby cubans, some cheesy thing (I thought it was a quiche but my roommate said it was a quesadilla), and some kind of rice ball with dipping sauce. And the desserts! Whoa. Chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick, anyone? How about chocolate mousse cups? Chocolate chip cookies? Yes, please. I'm pretty sure they also brought the bartender, who served up some stiff drinks. These guys were professional, efficient, and made some seriously tasty food. Word.
