When I finally got a chance to eat the sandwich, I was slightly disappointed as the sandwich is described as to have sliced avocado on it. Sad to say, there was barely avocado on the first half of the sandwich that I ate (there was like a small smear of avocado on it but barely noticeable). I've gone in a few times and Millie has always been really cool. She's just naturally nice, not fake or over the top. She talks to you like a normal person and actually pays attention when you order. The sandwiches are always made right too. Nothing sloppy, nothing missing, and everything tastes fresh. The restaurant is so cute and very clean. The service was impeccable and you can tell they take a lot of pride I. What they are doing. The 3 star which I wish you could mark 3.5 is because the meat the bread ratio is way off. For what you pay, there is barely enough meat to cover the bread and it should be stacked much higher. I know they measure everything out, which is good. But I would suggest putting more meat not veggies or cheese, meat in order for the sandwich to be worth the money for me at least. read more

Looking for a quick bite to eat and something "easy to eat" in the car, I came across the Sandwich Spot as I was heading out of town. About 2 minutes off the freeway, it was easy to get to and had plenty of parking in front. Immediately greeted by friendly staff asking if I had any questions and ready to make my order whenever I was ready. It took a few minutes to read though all the offerings of which so many sounded amazing. I was a bit overwhelmed trying to choose. As a 1st time visitor I defaulted to building my own. The sandwich is perfect size and kept me quite full for hours. It was delicious and I would definitely return to explore some of the pre-set sandwich options. The only downside was it wasn't very "eat in the car" friendly. The secret sauce which is a delicious garlic oil (i think) was dripping everywhere. Everything was crisp, flavorful, and well put together - a genuinely very good sub. Now, in terms of value, at $15 for the size of a 8" sandwich, I'm on the fence. It's definitely a satisfying and tasty option, but for me, it feels just a little too pricey to make it a weekly habit. That said, it's the kind of place I'd gladly treat myself to when I'm really craving a sub monthly. The spinach wrap, some chicken pieces and cheese were warmed up in the microwave for a few minutes. Then two leaves of lettuce and sliced avocados were added. I've been a customer of The Sandwich Spot (Stevenson Ranch) for years, and I've consistently tolerated two things: excruciatingly slow service and high prices. I kept coming back because the sandwiches were at least decent. This past weekend, that changed completely. I ordered three sandwiches for my family (well over $60), and they were served on inedibly stale bread. Not "slightly stale"; Not "a little dry"; It was so dry and flavorless that it was genuinely hard to chew and swallow. We tried to eat them anyway to avoid wasting the money, but it was gag-inducing. Lunch went straight to the trash. To be fair, stale bread can happen, so I called the store expecting a normal, reasonable resolution. I stayed calm and empathetic, explained the situation, and simply asked for a refund on the sandwiches we could not eat. The staff member I spoke with: - Denied the bread could be stale because "they don't do that." - Refused to provide a refund because she said she wasn't authorized. - Offered to "keep my name on file" for a free sandwich on a future visit instead. I told her I appreciated the offer, but that it's not an acceptable substitute for a refund. The vague promise of a free sandwich "next time" is meaningless if we don't return, and it also relies on some future staff member honoring it with no real record beyond "trust me." I asked her to pass my contact info to the manager so they could call me at their convenience. She refused and started gatekeeping the manager, claiming they were out of town and unavailable, while simultaneously acknowledging she had already spoken to the manager about the free sandwich offer. I tried to simplify the request to the bare minimum: please take my number and pass it along. If she was not empowered to resolve the issue, please just notify the manager so they could make the decision to resolve the matter or not. She still refused. To date, no manager has contacted me, which means the message was never passed on or the manager chose to ignore it. Bottom line: if you're charging premium prices, you can't serve stale, inedible bread and then deny it happened. And if a mistake occurs, you need a basic process in place to resolve it. The Sandwich Spot has neither. We will not be back. read more
