We had breakfast here on 8/30. We ordered the Pancake Sampler ($18.09) with 2 pancakes, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage links, and 2 eggs over easy, along with the French Cinnamon Roll ($13.97). One nice touch was that they gave each of us a complimentary Swedish pancake. The service was also friendly and pleasant, so we had no complaints there. That said, the food was just ok. Nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly impressive either. Maybe we just didn't order their standout dishes, but based on what we had, I wouldn't feel strong reason to return. Went for breakfast after church on Sunday with some friends. I can not eat a whole breakfast due to gastric bypass surgery. I have a special card from my surgeon to please let me order off the kids menu. The manager would not honor my request. I could have taken half home but you can not reheat eggs. Found this place on TikTok it looked like a homey sort of breakfast spot. We came for breakfast but ended up getting lunch haha a club sandwich & a chicken sandwich. We didn't wait much to get seated. We ordered quickly the service was alright could've been better but the server never came by to check up on us and also didn't seem too engaged, I completely understand when people don't like to get constantly disturbed when eating or "bothered" but I just believe it's good customer service to swing by the table and ask if everything is all good , felt like it was just order, eat, leave rather than feeling welcomed & taken care of. Really sad to write this since this is pretty much our go-to breakfast place every weekend. Saturday morning, I was having breakfast with my husband and friend, and as I was placing my order, I asked the waitress about the pumpkin pancakes. She said they were really good so I placed my order and also asked for a side of pancakes. My husband then thought he would get the pancake sampler and said to cancel my order that he would order the pumpkin pancakes instead. He also asked for double bacon instead of sausage. She comes out with the (woman) manager to deliver our food and brought the extra side of pumpkin pancakes, I politely reminded her that we had canceled that order, since my husband was getting the pumpkin pancakes with his order so she took it away. When she finally brought his eggs and bacon over, I mentioned that there was no double bacon only two slices. And she said that that's all he gets, since he didn't want the sausage....there is no double bacon. Of course that's not true since we have done that in the past but that's what she said and didn't bring extra bacon and you can see 4 pieces mentioned on the order screen. As he was paying, my friend noticed something on the credit card machine screen and we were shocked! I'm not sure if this is standard practice here for any orders that get messed up, but evidently I was a dumbass customer for canceling the extra set of pancakes that SHE mistakenly brought out. I'm sure waitresses think this all the time about customers that are rude or difficult, but I was neither to her. Also, who is the real dumbass for putting a comment like that getting caught! I was really upset about this and we called the Manager over, she apologized, but didn't seem TOO concerned about it, but did offer us a discount on our bill and brought us extra bacon after I asked about the missing bacon. I was really upset and shocked that I was getting "blamed" and called a dumbass for the waitresses' mistake. The Manager said our waitress was on break, how convenient, so we never got an apology from her but now that I'm thinking about it, it could have been the Manager that put that comment in. The only downside to my review is my server wasn't so great, she seemed like she was trying to rush us to order and gave our check right when the food came out, she kept walking away when I was trying to ask questions and then told us and all of her tables she was going on break. Compared to service at most places this was definitely below them. It's reasonably priced but the subpar service and them having no hazelnut creamer is a deal breaker for me. Runny and very tasty. The sauce, avocado, and tomato provided a light savory blend. The biscuit was a bit hard on my pallet and but personal preference aside, it added a crunchy texture. This visit was a letdown overall. You still get the complimentary crepe, which was delicious, but the service left a lot to be desired. Having been here a few times, I know the attentiveness thats usually expected. Our server didn't greet us, just asked bluntly what we were drinking. A curt start, though I chalked it up to the brunch rush. When our food arrived, my Benedict's sourdough was so hard I couldn't cut through it with a knife, so I ended up just eating the top. I had also asked for hashbrowns instead of fruit, and while the servers quickly took the fruit bowl away, the replacement never came. I had to flag down the server to follow up. When the hashbrowns did arrive, they were cold, which matched my now-cooling Benedict. My friends chicken fried steak and cinnamon roll French toast met expectations. Service wrapped up with a simple "here's your receipt." We had to ask another passing server for a to-go box and walked up front to pay. Only through the receipt did I find out our server's name was Ashton. We ate outside, and one suggestion I'd offer: a fan or two could really help with the heat and the flies, which were constantly encircling our food. read more

I wrote an earlier review of this place and the owners had it flagged and removed. I was eating a chicken dish here and they left a bone in it. (No it wasn't supposed to have bones). The manager saw the bone apologized and said owners would call me because it broke my tooth. Owners refused to call me back after many many calls to them. I would never return to a place with such poor ownership. And you can see how they treat negative reviews by having them removed. read more

There was no substance to it, worst French toast I've ever had. Little Swedish crepes they served were good, fresh with a good jam. Coffee was good. Service: waitress, (middle aged, long blond hair.) Took forever to take our order, 20-30 mins. As was her coffee service. Later she told my friend and I they were starting to get busy, (it wasn't very busy, a few people were waiting for tables), and that we needed to go. After finally being served we had been there about an hour. First delay was due to her. My friend and I had a serious medical topic to discuss and I didn't appreciate the waitress rushing us out. This is a bad business and I would recommend no one go here. Sunday my daughter and I went to this restaurant just before they closed. We ordered 3 Swedish fruit pancakes, 1 scrambled egg with hash brown and toast. This was a take out order. The Swedish pancakes were supposed to get 3 eggs as side orders but got no sides at all. There was no whipped crème or toast. I paid $87.63 and that included a tip which I almost never do for take out. While we were waiting for our order 2 different people came in very angry that their take out orders were missing food! They were half training a new girl. I say half training because another person with the name that sounded like aria was too busy socializing with her crew. The new girl kept asking her how to correct the order of mine and she ignored her even though she was standing right next to her. Finally I said her name loud and she responded. I apologized stating she was not listening to her employee that needed help. Now because we were there just before they closed we could not go back that day because they were closed. So on Sunday around 2:15 I called the restaurant and left a message on their answering machine telling them what we were missing. Then after I hung up I called again to tell them the additional items my daughter said were missing. And asking them to call me back but I got none. I know closing a restaurant at 2 you will still be there to clean up until at least 3 but no one called me back. Monday was Labor Day and on line it showed them closed but I still called and left two messages. On Tuesday I called again leaving a message asking them why they were ghosting me but no call backs. They only stay open until 2 and when you have prior appointments it's hard to get over there by then. So I called Today on Wednesday and finally got someone to answer. I asked for the manager but I only got a male on the phone with such a thick accent it was hard to understand him. He spoke bad English. I told him the whole story of missing food items. He responded he could do nothing because it was Wednesday and why did I not go back on Sunday ? I said because they were closed but I had left 2 messages at 2:15. I said I called on Monday but they were closed for Labor Day & he said no they weren't. I told him on line it showed them closed. Then I said I called and got their answering machine and again on Tuesday. He laughed. Then said I can do nothing. I told him he had bad business practices. and hung up. I'm calling my bank to reverse charges. If that does not go anywhere because they fight it I will take them into small claims court. It's a small amount but it's the principle of the thing. I'm also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This manager should not only not be a manager but should not even be employed there. I've eaten at the Thousand Oaks Eggs and Things and they are the Best there. This restaurant however left good items bought & paid for out of my bag which is a breach of contract. I pay you for food but you take my money and only fulfill half my order. Not only that 2 separate people that day came in angry that their food had also been left out! When a business doesn't listen to their employees that are waiting on their customers, does not make right by their customers for their mistakes by stealing money and refusing to give the product to them and leaving items out of at least 3 people's take out orders that day including mine then it's a bad business showing bad faith and fair dealing! I will never do business with this establishment again!!! Oh and I went to use their restroom and they left the door open. Stopped by for the first time on a mid morning Monday. Place was packed, but fun a good way. The wait time was about 15 minutes. The ambiance of the place is great! Homie feel, but clean and brought with outdoor seating and misters. The service (including the owner) was awesome, friendly and worked their tales off. The menu is big and covers everything for breakfast and lunch. The table had a mix of breakfast omelettes and they were all fantastic. There was ample food and fresh coffee. We highly recommend this place and will return each time we are down to visit Masters University. Not a great photo, but at least it is something :) Enjoy. read more

After years of enjoying E&T (starting in Thousand Oaks), I left today in near tears and raspy voice with itching eyes. Our service was good (5*). Food was good (4.5*). Shortly after we started eating a gentleman with a leashed cat was being seated near us and I indicated I had a cat allergy. His comment was the cat was hypoallergenic. (State and county health codes indicate no cats allowed even in open patio situations.) The party was seated elsewhere and I noticed the cat was allowed to roam to different tables and patrons. The patron with cat moved to yet another table (still far enough away) but soon the cat was less than 5 ft. away on a long leash and my eyes and nose were getting itchy and my voice raspy. I left my breakfast to talk to the manager. His solution was to move US to a different table inside the restaurant . I suggested he tell the guy to keep his cat next to him. (One of his solutions was the very table the cat and owner had previously occupied that had not been wiped off.) No mention about asking the owner to keep his cat near him--nothing. The manager kept offering to change our table to increase the distance from the cat which had now settled behind the table next to us. My husband asked for the check and a few minutes later we left. The manager was by the register and I wanted to make certain I understood his actions--cat over patron. His comment was that he was trying to reach an amicable solution: Cat won over human. No apology. No offer to handle the price of breakfast--which we did not finish. And the cat owner? Thought the entire thing was funny. Complaining to the Health Dept. is useless because they must find the cat on the premises in order to issue a citation. Note to manager: Thank you for spoiling my Sunday morning. Note to patrons around me: Sorry you thought I was overreacting. Special note to cat owner: I truly believe in karma. read more

I was in the Santa Clarita area and had about 2 hours to kill, so I came to Eggs N Things for breakfast. Walking inside to check in, I was immediately attracted to the board depicting their specials. That crab and shrimp seafood eggs Benedict would have been my choice. But I specifically chose this breakfast/brunch brand mainly to enjoy their house speciality (since 1974), the Traditional Swedish Pancakes. There was both indoor and outdoor seating. Being a hot morning already, they read my mind and immediately offered me indoor seating at a booth, even though I was dining solo. That's how it should be. After sipping their strong coffee that was superb, the one complimentary traditional Swedish Pancake arrived (whipped butter, blackberry preserves, powdered sugar). It is a simple concoction, yet an excellent preparation. Then came the real order, with 5 of these. The pancakes themselves are prepared so well that you can eat them alone just tasting the butter. The taste, the texture, the subtle flavor, the softness, as well as the brown look, was exceptional. It did not disappoint. Even though I have had this dish before at other branch sites, this preparation was a notch above, in both consistency, mouth feel, and overall taste bud satisfaction, to make it memorable. This place is usually fantastic. I would highly recommend it but more during the week. We came on the weekend and there was a long line outside. We were seated pretty quickly, considering the line. We were served within less than five minutes of ordering, but I think they are trying too hard to get people in and out. Our food came out before the complimentary crêpe. The toast was not toasted, and the hashbrowns were burnt on the top and the crepe, when it did come, was swimming in either water, butter or oil... I don't know. The service was good although the servers are extremely busy. It is fast paced, and every single table is taken ... with a line out the door. I think we will come back ...but during the week. Friendly service they will stop by in between your meal to check up on you. Depending on the time and day of the week you arrive you can be seated quickly or wait around 45 minutes to get seated. The food is good, I would compare the quality of breakfast items to a Denny's/ IHOP, but the one thing that makes them stand out are their Swedish Pancakes if you do go every meal you order comes with one and it'll leave you wanting more. read more
