My husband found this place to have breakfast with his son, during our trip to California. Boy, this place is huge! They have a big patio and big dining area. And they cater to large groups. I like how, fast we were seated, and catered to right away. As soon as you place your order, they will bring each person a piece of crepe with blueberry preserve. It's their way of keeping their patrons occupied while waiting for their food. Which I think is a great idea. Their servers are very professional and very accommodating. Disappointed First Visit I came to Eggs and This for the first time after hearing some positive things and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired. I sat at the bar area and was greeted after a fair wait. The waitress offered me water, which I accepted. As I began to place my food order, she abruptly cut me off, saying, "I'll be back to take your order," and walked away. I waited... and waited. Meanwhile, I could clearly see her chatting with other staff members about Instagram. Another employee finally noticed I had been waiting and had to pull my waitress away from her social conversation just to get my order in. I ordered a BLT, which came out quickly--but unfortunately, it was extremely bland. Honestly, it was probably the most flavorless BLT I've ever had. I mentioned it to my waitress, and her solution was to suggest more mayo. I tried it, but it didn't help. I ended up eating it only because I was starving. Then came the final straw. When I went to pay, I noticed the total on the payment device was higher than the receipt. There was an unexplained 12% "surcharge fee." I asked the waitress about it, and she vaguely said, "It's just a surcharge." For what, exactly? Using my own money? That fee was never mentioned beforehand. In my opinion, restaurants should be required to disclose those kinds of charges clearly before a customer orders. Between the poor service, low-quality food, and the surprise fee, I won't be coming back. read more

My first time here and it was yummy! I came with a friend right at noon on Saturday. There were a few people waiting for a table and they had both indoor and outdoor tables. We didn't have to wait long for an indoor table. The inside is very nice and cozy and even has counter seating. We ordered the stuffed French toast and the pancakes with a side of bacon. Food and service was good but the descriptions were very misleading. An example would be the banana nut pancakes. That's what it's called and the description just listed things that came with the order. With that in mind im expecting something akin to banana bread but in pancake form. Was looking for some good breakfast in Santa Clarita, stumbled upon this place searching through Yelp. It was a beautiful day, we sat outside and the outdoor dining area was very nice and I liked the whole setup of everything. Customer service was very good, very pleasant people and I guess this place comes with a complimentary crepe with their house special sauce on top or a jam. I'm not the biggest fan of crepes, but this one was absolutely delicious and I would definitely come back to eat this again. So she ordered the diced ham ' n scrambled eggs that came with country potatoes, which also came with a sourdough toast. I ordered the chicken fried steak n eggs which came with a side of a biscuit and gravy. She also ordered a coffee, she said it was nothing spectacular and just a basic cup of coffee. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. I know I talk about cleanliness in a lot of my reviews but it's because I really like spaces that are really clean and taken care of. And this little restaurant is clean. Don't know if it was recently renovated or what but it's pretty and I didn't see traces of dust on their decorations or anything. They have a long counter and a bunch of tables with booths on the inside and an eating area full of tables on the patio for all you outdoor people. There's also an open window to the kitchen where you can stalk your food lol. Sadly, I wasn't hungry enough to stare at the chefs while they prepared our meals but if you are, you definitely have that option. Our server (she didn't have a name tag) was on it. She was friendly and attentive, made sure we were all good and refilled our drinks quickly without us asking. She also brought us two crepes-- complimentary, on the house Oprah style (you get one! And YOU get one! And yooou get one!) and handed us the rest of our meals quickly. Food was pretty standard you know, typical American breakfast. I had a veggie omelette with fruits, hubby had the chicken fried chicken with hash browns and a side of biscuit and gravy. Seems like whatever but it was really good. Food was cooked perfectly, not burnt or greasy like most breakfast places. All in all I'd say this place is really good. I can't speak for their lunch options (yet) but breakfast was nice. The food is great. I have been ordering mostly takeout here since the pandemic because COVID got us use to but especially because it's always so busy. The service is good for both take out and dine in. I dined there once in the patio with my baby during non peak hours. Before getting into details, one thing I love about this experience is the servers always bring each person in your party a fresh Swedish pancake as a free appetizer. As costs have gone out of control, ownership continues this free tradition and it just starts the meal off right. Their pancakes and waffles are outstanding and this most recent visit I had a traditional 2-egg breakfast. Everything was cooked quickly and to perfection, including the crispy bacon I requested which was delicious. The ambiance is a pretty traditional breakfast house. Comfortable and not too noisy even when at capacity. There are a few breakfast places in the SCV that we enjoy, and Eggs N Things is definitely one of our main go-to's. This is by far the nicest of the three Eggs n' Things locations we've visited...updated decor, menus not sticky...felt like a bit more of an upscale visit that we'd expected after visiting other locations. (Though it's been a while so it's possible there's been a chain-wide update...anyhoo, the point was it was nice.) The food was perfect basic breakfast food as well. The coffee tasted like coffee and not "browned water" which often happens at diners. Sufficiently strong. I had a 2 egg breakfast. (It was strategy as some of the sweet items looked good, but I know complementary crepe was coming...) The egg whites were cooked perfectly. (egg whites are hit and miss at diners.) As were the hash browns. I opted for a biscuit and it too was perfectly fluffy on the inside...often bisucits at place like this feel like they've been microwave-reheated...this tasted like it came out of the oven. No gluten free bread options, but they did offer tortillas for my wife who had an omelet which looked perfect. She and our 12 year old both thought the country potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our server was also spot on with everything and even knew the difference between gluten free allergy versus preference which my wife appreciated. Amazing breakfest this morning! I had the waffle with a scrambled egg and bacon and it had to be one of the best waffles I have ever had! It was perfectly cooked and it had just the right amount of powdered sugar on top. I have had other things from here and they are very good as well but the waffle is the best thing on the menu. I have been to the a couple of the other locations and all of them are just as amazing as this one. The service is great and the place has an anazing atmosphere.
